Bioindication assessment of water bodies of Ukraine can be carried out using the ratio of males and females of mollusks of the genus Viviparus. In practice, it is very convenient to determine the sex of mollusks by the differences in their shell. Male and female freshwater snails Viviparus viviparus (Linnaeus, 1758) and V. contectus (Millet, 1813) are shown to have reliable differences in shell morphology depending on their age. There is almost no sexual dimorphism by shell morphometrics and indices in Viviparus snails aged one to three years. After three years of life, mature females have significantly larger shell width, higher body whorl, and size of the aperture. Females of V. viviparus at the age of two to five years may be differentiated from males by the relationship of mean shell width and shell height, which is statistically significant higher than in males. This difference is explained by the different size of the mantle section genital organs of mature male and female. The obtained results should be taken into consideration in establishing the sex of viviparid snails.

Background and Aim: Present research intends to investigate relationship of psychological hardiness with work holism among high school teachers. Methods: The under study society includes all male and female high school teacher in Ghorveh city in the academic year 2012-2013. Using simple random sampling method, a sample size of 100 male and female teachers was selected. To collect data, Kobassa Psychological Hardiness Questionnaire and Aghabeigi Workaholics Questionnaire were employed. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t-test and regression analysis) were used. Results: The findings indicated that there is negative and significant relationship between the variables psychological hardiness and work holism. In addition, there is association between gender and psychological hardiness and between gender and work holism, also the constituents of psychological hardiness (commitment, control and challenge) are able to predict work holism.

Objective was to define a mathematical model that better explain the relationship of the animals weight depending not only on the animals age but also on the animals morphometric measurements. 40 piglets, half Duroc-Large White blood, were used, 20 males and 20 females, from 3 to 35 days of age (lactation phase) initially weighing 1.518 ± 0.121 kg and from 36 to 66 days of age (calving phase) with a body weight of 7.010 ± 0.704 kg. The animals were weighed weekly on a digital balance. The relationship of animal weight, age and morphometric measurements of male and female piglets were performed using regression models: existing, linear and power. The models were evaluated according to nine criterialinear model was the most adequate to explain the weight of male pigs, while for female pigs was the power. The age of the pig, the shank and palette length, as well as the circumference of the shank jointly explain the weight of the male piglets. The weight of females is explained jointly by age, body length, thorax and hip circumference.

Data are presented to demonstrate that the effects of gonadectomy on body weight and food consumption differ in male and female rats. The findings are related to the authors' report of sex differences in the effects of ventromedial hypothalamic damage. A review of the literature on the relationship of the gonads to body weight in different species is presented.

The aim of the present study was to focus on the relationship of Spirituality with Depression, Anxiety and Stress of Yoga practitioners. The sample of 40 male and 40 female yoga practitioners from Hubli-Dharwad constituted the sample for study. The DASS and FACIT Spirituality scales were administered. The results revealed a Significant relationship existing between Spirituality and Depression (r=-.54; P<.01), Spirituality and Anxiety ( r=-.28; P<.01) Spirituality and Stress ( r=-57;P<.01). Further Regression analysis revealed the significant contribution of factors like reading journal monthly, marital status and income to Anxiety, journal reading, Marital status, visiting websites of Yoga and income significantly contributed to Depression and finally reading journal, income contributed to Stress of Male and Female Yoga practitioner. The social implications of findings are discussed.

Previous research has indicated that sex-role preferences of boys were more clearly masculine than girls' preferences were feminine. In order to provide a partial explanation of this phenomenon, the responses of 107 college students to descriptions of cross-sex-role behavior of young boys and girls were investigated. Ss rated 10 one-sentence descriptions of cross-sex-role behavior on an approval-disapproval dimension. Both male and female Ss indicated greater disapproval of cross-sex-role behavior of boys than of girls. The relationship of these findings to previous research was discussed.

The larval shell of molluscs contains a preserved record of the organism's growth and developmental history. Many investigators have utilized the information recorded in the larval shell morphology to infer mode of development.Marine prosobranch gastropods were collected from intertidal sites from Maine to Florida and were cultured in the laboratory. Scanning electron microscopy was used to document the relationship of larval shell morphology to development. Four species with planktotrophic larvae, Crepidula fornicata, Crepidula plana, Cerithium atratum and Ilyanassa obsoleta, and four species with non-planktotrophic development, Crepidula convexa, Littorina obtusata, Busycon canaliculatum and Urosalpinx cinerea, were successfully reared through metamorphosis.

A new species, Neopseustis rectagnatha Liao, Chen & Huang sp. nov., is described from the Nanling Mountains, China. The photos of the adults, male and female genitalia, and abdominal special structures are presented. The new species is similar to N. meyricki Hering, 1925 and N. sinensis Davis, 1975, but it can be distinguished easily by characters in the male genitalia as the straight gnathos and the lateroposterior process of anellus h-type bifurcated. Key to males of all species of Neopseustis Meyrick, 1909 and some biological information are also given. Molecular analysis based on COI sequences is used to infer the relationship of the new species within Neopseustis.
