Here, we present the circular and complete genome sequences of the Nosocomiicoccus ampullae isolate 19-00310 and type strain DSM 19163. To our knowledge, these represent the first complete, circular chromosomes in the entire genus. Sequencing of a growth-adapted mutant suggests iron availability as a factor for growth improvement.

ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequence of the Campylobacter concisus type strain ATCC 33237 and the draft genome sequences of eight additional well-characterized C. concisus strains. C. concisus has been shown to be a genetically heterogeneous species, and these nine genomes provide valuable information regarding the diversity within this taxon.

Ralstonia insidiosa is an opportunistic pathogen and a strong biofilm producer. Here, we present the complete genome sequences of R. insidiosa FC1138 and ATCC 49129. Both strains have two circular chromosomes of approximately 3.9 and 1.9 Mb and a 50-kb plasmid. ATCC 49129 also possesses a megaplasmid of approximately 318 kb.

ABSTRACT Complete genome sequences of Campylobacter coli strains WA333, YF2105, BG2108, MG1116, and BP3183 and Campylobacter jejuni strain IF1100 isolated from retail chicken liver showed the presence of 1,841,551-, 1,687,232-, 1,695,638-, 1,665,146-, 1,695,360-, and 1,744,171-bp circular chromosomes, respectively. These isolates also contained plasmids ranging in size from 5,209 to 55,122 bp.

ABSTRACT Genome sequences of Campylobacter jejuni FJ3124 and ZP3204 isolated from retail chicken gizzards and Campylobacter jejuni TS1218 isolated from retail chicken showed the presence of 1,694,324-, 1,763,161-, and 1,762,596-bp circular chromosomes, respectively. Campylobacter jejuni ZP3204 and TS1218 harbored large tetracycline resistance plasmids with type IV secretion systems.

Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile is a spore-forming anaerobic bacterium that causes severe intestinal diseases in humans. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the first C. difficile foodborne type strain (PCR ribotype 078) isolated from food animals in Canada in 2004, which has 100% similarity to the genome sequence of the historic human clinical strain M120.

ABSTRACT The genomes of Lactobacillus curvatus KG6, L. curvatus MRS6, and Lactobacillus sakei FAM18311 were sequenced and assembled using PacBio single-molecule real-time (SMRT) technology. The strains were isolated from Swiss fermented meat products. Circular chromosomes were of 1.98 Mbp (KG6), 2.11 Mbp (MRS6), and 1.95 Mbp (FAM18311), with a G+C content of 41.3 to 42.0%.

We report here the complete annotated genome sequence of theBurkholderia stabilistype strain ATCC BAA-67. There were three circular chromosomes with a combined size of 8,527,947 bp and G+C composition of 66.4%. These characteristics closely resemble the genomes of other sequenced members of theBurkholderia cepaciacomplex.

ABSTRACT The complete genome sequences of two Staphylococcus argenteus strains, Tokyo13064 and Tokyo13069, isolated from human feces and suspected causative foods during a staphylococcal food poisoning outbreak, consist of 2,750,811-bp and 2,751,556-bp circular chromosomes and 2,543 and 2,548 genome annotation-predicted coding DNA sequences, respectively, with 19 rRNAs, 61 tRNAs, and 1 CRISPR each.

ABSTRACT Near neighbors to the causative agent of tularemia, Francisella tularensis, isolated from diverse sources, have been reported in recent years. In this announcement, we present the complete sequences of circular chromosomes of one of the closest neighboring genera of Francisella (i.e., the type strains of Allofrancisella inopinata and Allofrancisella frigidaquae).
