In the documents reflecting the modern Russian Federal policy in the field of education, one of the main tasks is defined as the well-being of the family and the formation of trust in the family as a social institution. In the article, the social institution of the family is considered as a leading factor in the aspect of managing the social situation of a child's development. The partnership of the family with the systems of General and non-formal education of children is presented as an effective practice of social and ped-agogical interaction, focused on the social and mental development of children. The fea-tures of social and pedagogical interaction of institutions of General and non-formal education of children with the family as a subject of designing an individual educational trajectory are revealed. It is shown that in the modern conditions of modernization of Russian education, there is a tendency of alienation between the family and the school. The school implements the main directions of work with parents, which reflect its lead-ership and guiding role in this process: increase of their psychological and pedagogical knowledge; involvement in the educational process of the school; involvement in public administration of an educational institution. The family manifests itself as a social part-ner of the institution of non-formal education of children, whose activities assume a fo-cus on matching the interests, inclinations, abilities of children. The implementation of social and pedagogical partnership is based on the establishment of links between the family and the educational environment, in the creation of which it actively participates. The interaction of n-education with the family creates conditions for the motivated par-ticipation of children in the implementation of their educational routes. There is an in-crease in the importance of such educational practices, which can include the family in various types of pedagogical activities as an equal subject, along with children.

Today, in the struggle for visitors, museums have begun to actively use new forms of work and educational technologies. Museum - is a means of non-formal education that provides cultural, educational, intellectual, aesthetic needs of society. The introduction of innovations allows him to move away from traditional forms of exhibiting collections, diversifies forms of work, helps to increase competitiveness and the level of visitor service. With the help of interactive methods, it is possible to make museum events more interesting for the audience, transforming them from a passive spectator to an active one. One such method is a quest-excursion. This article considers the quest as an innovative form of work in the excursion activities of the Archaeological Museum of the IA NAS of Ukraine. Awareness of the educational potential of innovative methods and technologies prompted us to develop a quest and introduce it to the work of our museum. The example of a quest-excursion, created as part of the museum project "Archaeological Adventures – Interactive Activities", shows how to acquaint students with the history of human material culture in the form of an active game based on archaeological artifacts, written sources and scientifically proven facts. This form of working with visitors is extremely interesting and has many advantages. The universality of the quest is that in a relatively short period of time it is possible to learn a large layer of historical information and become interested in the exhibits, their history and origin. During the quest, children have the opportunity to communicate more, to express their own opinions. They develop independence and self-sufficiency, the ability to actively use in life the acquisition of skills and competencies. In pedagogical practice, the possibilities of interactive form of work with students in museum institutions of scientific institutions are often underestimated. Involvement of the quest game in the education of school-age children will allow to intensify the educational process and improve the perception of the studied material, in particular in historical disciplines.

This paper reflects on the changes in Educational Psychology in South Africa in a ten year period (2005 – 2015) after the first democratic elections. It shows how Educational Psychology as a scientific discipline, and as a helping profession, has responded to the changing landscape and how the post-democracy years inspired a complete departure from previous practices. It also explores an expansion of its leitmotif from ‘helping’ to leading and facilitating processes of change and support. It shows how conceptual shifts from the individual level towards systemic interventions have impacted the nature of the support provided by educational psychologists and how the creation of virtuous cycles became central their work. The shifts from individual support to systemic support interventions have also contributed to blurring boundaries between professionals and stakeholders. The paper also argues that the strong experiential nature of studies in Educational Psychology has led to gaps in the empirical database in Educational Psychology – specifically in terms of the limited comparative studies that have been conducted. Such studies were mostly conducted within bounded systems. Furthermore, the paper argues that the role of educational psychologists has been marginalized in formal education support structures even as their role increased in importance in broader society.
