Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are key elements in the educational process of teens. Consequently, efforts should be made to integrate ICT into educational plans and policies. Based on this premise, HEBE has been launched – a study on youth empowerment that was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and carried out by five universities: the University of Girona, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University. The project, based on media literacy and transmedia skills, involves the creation of an interactive documentary (i-doc). The HEBE i-doc: digital prints relates the experiences and reflections during the maturation stage of six youngsters with different cultural, educational, family and social backgrounds and profiles. This exploration was carried out through their own audio-visual creations, in a life story format. The i-doc has the dual purpose of (1) devising a methodology based on digital ethnography, and (2) creating an interactive platform for sharing experiences and promoting the visibility of these issues via citizen science.

Due to the accelerated pace of information and communication technology developments, the digital society and the digital economy have become real and, in turn, pose specific challenges. In this environment, digital skills and competences are essential to achieve the professional success and personal development of any individual. The positive impact that information and communication technology has on education cannot be disputed, but there are also some obstacles that need to be overcome in order to make the most of these benefits. An essential aspect to consider is that technology has repercussions not only on pupils and students, but also on teachers, who must adapt and acquire the knowledge necessary to disseminate information. Having as the main objective of reflecting the impact of digitalization on the educational sector, the paper highlights the basic concepts in the field of digital technology and, at the same time, the current implications on educational processes. At the same time, through logistic regression, the way in which the means of digital innovation influence the education in Romania is analysed and to determine the factors with the highest degree of influence. Modern technology can be considered as synonymous with the future and that is why it is essential that all young students acquire the digital knowledge necessary to revolutionize the educational process and at the same time redefine the recruitment of the labour market.

Rapid changes in information and communication technology require application of managerial techniques, human resource management and integration of several technologies in library and information Centers. The present research aims at studying the extent of job enlargement in selected eight state university libraries in Kerala. Data of the study was gathered from a total of 266 qualified and permanent library and information science professionals. Analysis of data was done using SPSS and Micro Soft excel. The important finding of the research is that there is no significant level of job enlargement among library and information science professionals. It also finds that job enlargement situation of libraries in the universities in Kerala is low and different. The study reveals that there is significant variation in the level of job enlargement among the university libraries in Kerala. The highest level of job enlargement is found in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady followed by Kannur University.

Several changes have occurred over the past century in the education system of Saudi Arabia. The changes have largely been associated with the fact that in the 21st century, information and communication technology is highly applied in the learning process, thereby leading to a major transformation of the process. The application of information and communication technology has also transformed interactions and rapidly changed the learning process, giving a new meaning to social interactions. Enterprises that operate in the information age enjoy information interchange, collaboration, and adoption and application of innovative tendencies and shared decision-making. Students’ demands have changed in that they no longer hope for middle-class success or application of routine skills, but they measure success in terms of ability to share, communicate and apply information to arrive at solutions to complex problems. The changing learning environment requires that the teaching staff learns new tendencies and skills that they can apply to cope with the ever-changing learner and general society expectations. Teachers’ competence at work is measured in terms of their ability to improve the power of technology in enhancing creation of new knowledge. Therefore, leaders of teacher education programs are responsible for developing sustainable programs that allow for teacher education. Training has become part of the ethics of the teaching profession, and members of the teaching staff must be ready for training throughout their profession. This paper will shed light on the training program of faculty members in two well-known universities in the United States: the University of Maryland & George Mason University, as an attempt to compare the above educational establishments with the conditions of training of faculty members of King Saud University in Saudi Arabia to suggest a training plan to develop training programs in KSU. It is time when leaders in educator preparation should critically reexamine their roles in the 21st century knowledge and skills whose landscape has largely changed.

The article focuses on the use of teaching information and communication technology for physical experiments simulation on quantum physics, in particular, the study of the "valley of stability". The features of the processes occurring in the atom and affecting the nucleus stability and their location in the nucleus valley of stability are analyzed. The relevance of the study is the need to intensify the process of using models and simulations, abstraction and idealization and analogies in the educational process on physics. Idealized objects creation, in particular, the nucleus valley of stability, helps to reach a first approximation the truth and to improve the quality of mastering knowledge on physics, raise the level of success of the development of knowledge and skills, as it is directed on the formation of the relationship between physical concepts, theories and laws.

Nowadays biology teachers should be professional, ICT and information competent, and they must be able to create diverse teaching scenarios and apply modern technology, enabling students to acquire the knowledge and develop the competences needed for life in the 21st century. With the aim of determining the degree of implementation of information and communication technology in the educational process, a research was conducted on a sample of 65 biology teachers from the Split-Dalmatia County. The results show that biology teachers insufficiently apply ICT tools, and on the work they most commonly use Power Point presentations and their permutations. Length of teachers working experience and the types of schools in which they work are not factors frequently use of ICT tools in the educational process. The results can be the encouragement to transform the initial education of future biology teachers and guidelines for the necessary additional professional training of teachers practitioners and strengthening their ICT skills.

The paper discusses the role of teachers and school professional teams in prevention of digital violence in order to increase the safety of students while using the information and communication technology. The school as the center of the educational process can, with its continuous action, indicate the possible risks in the functioning and usage of information and communication technology, as well as other key factors in prevention of digital violent behavior and social intervention when violence occurs. The social reaction to digital violence implies the application of an active school education strategy that involves acquiring knowledge about the risks and risk behaviors and developing the responsibility of an individual when using digital technologies, then a strategy of action when an individual is exposed to some form of digital violence and sanctions for those who violate the rules. In recent years, scientists and experts have been involved in theoretical and empirical researches in the field of digital violence in order to gain knowledge and raise awareness about the dangers that threaten in the virtual environment. Such initiatives can significantly contribute to the intensification of the educational activities of the school (teachers and professional teams) by pointing to their indispensable role and importance in designing adequate preventive strategies for solving this significant social problem.
