The lack of recommendations in the normative and technical documentation related to fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) for assessing their technical condition necessitated devising a method to control the lines' quality and reliability of operation. The method creates the basis for calculating the quality and reliability indicators of FOCL operation and suggests measures to improve them. It determines the methods of control, as well as the acquisition, accounting, and analysis of damage statistics with and without interruption of communication. The graphic sequence of implementation of the stages of the method demonstrates that resolving the task to control these indicators should involve: – managing the acquisition and actual acquisition of operational data on damages (the causes, nature, quantity, the duration of communication breakdown and complete elimination of damage); – determining the quality and reliability indicators of FOCL operation annually; – analysis of the obtained results and the development (correction) of measures to comply with the norms of these indicators; – the implementation of measures to comply with the norms of quality and reliability of FOCL operation (if necessary). Based on the operational data from a line operator acquired over three years in the specified climatic zone (a cable of the type OKLBg-3 DA12-3×4E-0.4F3.5/0.22N18-12/0), the methodical component of the method was examined. The obtained results on the operational quality (damage density, average damage duration, break (downtime) of communication) and reliability indicators (FOCL readiness factor) of a subscriber access network without reservation showed that the line had low efficiency. The communication breakdown over three years amounted to K=12,569.8 stream∙hours. The downtime at this volume of digital stream∙hours has led to significant economic losses. Line operators have been given recommendations for the proper FOCL operation and ensuring a normalized value of the line readiness coefficient. To this end, it is necessary to reduce the time to re-link and prolong the line's failure-free operation

In accordance with GOST 20793-2009, the tractor and its components are subjected to resource diagnostics before maintenance. The technical condition of the components of the tractor or machine should be checked with the use of control and diagnostic equipment. Currently, the criteria for the limit state are significantly outdated and require revision from the point of view of tightening modern requirements for operational and economic characteristics and reliability indicators. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in analyzing the state of the issue and the current regulatory documentation and making proposals for remote monitoring of the criteria for the limit states of individual components and aggregates. (Materials and methods) The article presents an analysis of scientific and technical documentation, State standards of the Russian Federation and scientific papers on the problems of minimizing technological risks, diagnostics and control suitability for determining the maximum technical condition, and staged studies on the possibility of monitoring the operation of individual components and units online. The article notes the need to adjust the criteria for the maximum technical condition in accordance with the new designs of resource-determining units, aggregates and existing technical regulations. (Results and discussion). The article presents the justification of the diagnostic process and identified contradictions in the design of tractors and existing scientific and technical documentation and standards, and proposed option of using meters-identifiers when upgrading tractors as a system of built-in online diagnostic tools. (Conclusions) Timely, automated monitoring of the technical condition of tractors, which is based on comparing data with the criteria of the limit condition, serves as a justification for the effective operation of equipment with built-in devices for diagnostics, which allows minimizing agrotechnological risks.

The hydraulic system of Aircraft is an important power organization and plays an important role in the process of airplane operation. The failures of the airplane have the character of concealment, complexity and uncertainty. So if the hydraulic system ran out of order it not only cause huge casualties and economic losses, but also has a long and low efficiency maintenance cycle. This text analyzes the common causes of the failures and the failures that newly appeared of the aircraft hydraulic systems in detailed. Some of effective solutions have been proposed which quicken accelerate the speed of fault diagnosis and improve the efficiency of aircraft maintenance.

Objective: To determine the most failure-prone rolling stock components and assemblies by processing statistical data obtained during operation using the classical reliability theory; to develop recommendations for maintaining the operational state of individual rolling stock components. Methods: Methods for calculating the quantitative reliability characteristics are used based on the rolling stock operational statistical data. Results: The 5-year operational data have been used to provide tabulated statistics on the failure rate of various rolling stock equipment. Reliability indicators have been calculated for various types of rolling stock equipment and the corresponding graphs have been plotted. Based on the calculations, the recommendations for the rolling stock maintenance have been developed. Practical importance: The calculations and the recommendations described determine the types of rolling stock equipment requiring more attention during maintenance

Abstract The article presents the reliability analysis of subsystem of heat supply in the example of 47 thousand inhabitants’ city. The analysis was made on the basis of operational data made available by the Municipal Heating Company, between the years 2001 ÷ 2012. To describe the quantitative reliability of heat supply subsystem reliability indicators are used. Main times between failure and unitary failure rates including the month of their occurrence, type and diameter of the heating network, thermal power region were working out. Knowing the characteristics of the time to repair for the heating network, the reliability of heat supply subsystem for different thermal power region, considering the district heating system configuration can be determined.

AbstractSepsis, the syndrome of infection complicated by acute organ dysfunction, is a serious and growing global problem, which not only leads to enormous economic losses but also becomes one of the leading causes of mortality in the intensive care unit. The detection of sepsis-related pathogens and biomarkers in the early stage plays a critical role in selecting appropriate antibiotics or other drugs, thereby preventing the emergence of dangerous phases and saving human lives. There are numerous demerits in conventional detection strategies, such as high cost, low efficiency, as well as lacking of sensitivity and selectivity. Recently, the aptamer-based biosensor is an emerging strategy for reasonable sepsis diagnosis because of its accessibility, rapidity, and stability. In this review, we first introduce the screening of suitable aptamer. Further, recent advances of aptamer-based biosensors in the detection of bacteria and biomarkers for the diagnosis of sepsis are summarized. Finally, the review proposes a brief forecast of challenges and future directions with highly promising aptamer-based biosensors.

No Brasil, a principal espécie de carrapato que compromete a produtividade na criação de bovinos é o ectoparasito hematófago Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, com perdas econômicas estimadas em aproximadamente 3,24 bilhões de dólares anuais. Tais prejuízos originam-se da perda de sangue do animal, da queda da produtividade, transmissão de agentes infecciosos, baixa eficácia de diversos de produtos carrapaticidas disponíveis no mercado devido ao fenômeno de resistência, entre outros. Este carrapato é vetor dos agentes patogênicos causadores de enfermidades que configura o complexo da tristeza parasitária bovina (TPB). Geralmente, o controle desse parasito ocorre através de acaricidas químicos convencionais. Todavia, o uso indiscriminado desses produtos tem acelerado no processo de seleção de carrapatos resistentes às bases químicas disponíveis. Além disso, existe uma inquietude progressiva relacionada à segurança do meio ambiente e às saúdes humana e animal. Portanto, na busca de novas possibilidades de controle de carrapatos, o emprego de produtos fitoterápicos e biológicos mostra-se como alternativo promissor para o controle. Investigações com plantas para identificar novos princípios ativos capazes de controlar os carrapatos têm sido o foco de extensa pesquisa. Neste estudo, revisou-se o conhecimento atual disponível sobre óleos essenciais (OEs) testados no Brasil como acaricidas sobre R. microplus. Além disso, analisou-se a eficácia de compostos puros isolados dos OEs com potencial atividade acaricida, incluindo as implicações inerentes à aplicação dos OEs como ativos presentes em formulações que poderiam estar disponíveis no mercado. Contudo, considerou-se também a possibilidade de associações dos OEs a agentes utilizados no controle biológico.   Palavras-chave: Carrapato dos Bovinos. Controle. Óleo essencial.   Abstract In Brazil, the main species of tick that compromises productivity in cattle breeding is the hematophagous ectoparasite Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus, with economic losses estimated at approximately 3.24 billion dollars annually. Such losses originate from the blood loss of the animal, from the fall in productivity, transmission of infectious agents, low efficiency of several of the tick products available on the market due to the phenomenon of resistance, among others. This tick is a vector of pathogenic agents that cause diseases that make up the tick-borne diseases complex. Generally, the control of this parasite occurs through conventional chemical acaricides. However, the indiscriminate use of these products has accelerated the process of selecting ticks resistant to the available chemical bases. In addition, there is a progressive concern regarding the safety of the environment and human and animal health. Therefore, in the search for new possibilities for the control of ticks, the use of herbal and biological products is promising alternatives for control. Investigations with plants to identify new active ingredients capable of controlling ticks have been the focus of extensive research. In this study, the current available knowledge about essential oils (EOs) tested in Brazil as acaricides on R. microplus was reviewed. In addition, the effectiveness of pure compounds isolated from EOs with potential acaricidal activity was analyzed, including the implications inherent to the application of EOs as active ingredients in formulations that could be available on the market. However, the possibility of associating EOs with agents used in biological control was also considered.   Keywords: Cattle tick. Control. Essential oil.

The availability is one of the most important feature of a technical object which shapes its operational quality. The paper undertakes the issue related to the quantification of functional availability of vehicles, with reference to reliability aspects. The conducted exploitation research paved the way for elaborating methods of determining functional availability for vehicles, in particular focusing on reliability. The essential research was conducted using the developed mathematical model based on the probabilistic, stochastic Markov process, which allowed modelling the process of changes in the exploitation states of vehicles. In view of the above, it is essential to develop methods that enable the most accurate estimation of the functional availability of vehicles. Knowing the values of functional availability, we can estimate the probability of performing assigned tasks and precisely control the vehicle exploitation system, especially in terms of availability, which is important for vehicles. This work presents a method for determining the functional availability of vehicles, taking into account the limitations introduced by the vehicle exploitation system.  Particular attention was paid to the possibility of using probabilistic, stochastic semiMarkov models, whose rules and method of creation were generally described, with regard to the ability to acquire operational data in the vehicle exploitation system.

Abstract The article aims to present practical methods for prioritising the activities of maintenance departments based on the Pareto analysis and the failure risk analysis. Based on the collected data on the number of observed failures and their removal times, commonly known reliability indicators were determined, which were then used to estimate the probabilities and consequences of failures in terms of the risk of loss of production continuity. Based on commonly collected failure data, the developed methods allow proposing to the maintenance departments the sequence of maintenance and repair work to be undertaken in terms of minimising the risk of failure. Risk analysis is somewhat commonly used in the practice of maintenance departments (e.g. RBI, FMEA, ETA, FTE, HIRA). The added value of this work is the use of reliability indicators for estimating the values of risk components, i.e., probability and consequences. The method was developed on the basis of operational data collected in one of the plants of the dairy cooperative and, after assessing the effects of its implementation, it was implemented in other enterprises of the cooperative.

Внедрено инновационное программное обеспечение с элементами софт-роботизации для управления качеством продукции и контроля надежности комплектующих изделий (КИ), ЭКБ и ЭРИ. Предложена архитектура построения базы банных (БД) информационной системы (ИС) системы менеджмента качества (СМК) предприятия. Приведены результаты оценки показателей качества и надежности ЭКБ. Innovative software with elements of software robotization for the purposes of product quality management and reliability control, including electronic components, has been implemented. The database architecture (DB) as part of an information system (IS) for a quality management system (QMS) has been proposed. Examples of calculations of quality and reliability indicators are given.
