The article describes the relevance and necessity of primary prevention of psychoactive substances use among schoolchildren, considers the need for scientific substantiation and evidence of the effectiveness of the use of programs for the prevention of psychoactive substances use in different countries. A short literature review of the experience of primary prevention of the use of psychoactive substances in Belarus, Russia and the non-CIS countries has been made. The elaborated, tested and implemented in practice curriculum of optional classes aimed at the formation of students’ skills of responsible and safe behavior «We are ourselves» for grades 5-8 of general secondary education establishments is presented in detail. The goals of the extracurricular program as well as its structure are described, and its tasks are detailed. The organizational and methodological work that was carried out for the successful implementation of the cycle is highlighted (seminars with educational psychologists, individual consultations on request, summing up intermediate results after 5 lessons and a seminar on the final stage of testing methodological materials and definitive results). The primary results on the program effectiveness are given, that were obtained with the help of a survey of students, their parents and teachers, as well as the results concerning the distribution and implementation of monitoring the curriculum «We are ourselves» in Vitebsk region, which demonstrated its relevance and the prospects for its use. Based on the results of the article, the conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of prophylactic work with schoolchildren to prevent the use of psychoactive substances and methods of its improvement.

Background. In modern society, there is an intensive increase in the incidence of arterial hypertension among young people, which is mainly due to lifestyle characteristics and related risk factors.Objective: to analyze the results of scientific researches of domestic and foreign authors regarding the study of risk factors in the development of arterial hypertension in children.Material and methods. A qualitative analysis of the current literature data on the risk factors for arterial hypertension and its prevention has been carried out.Results. It has been established that the occurrence of arterial hypertension in childhood is due to not only hereditary, but also a number of environmental risk factors.Conclusions. Further researches are needed to study new and established risk factors that must be considered when conducting primary prevention of the disease in children at high risk.

Across Europe, the enrolment of students with special educational needs in regular classrooms is increasing, although it does not always mean access to high quality educational experience. In this context, inclusive education has been enhanced in most educational systems, but its successful implementation is still limited and has become a challenge in most countries, and specially in secondary education, when segregation due to learning achievement is more frequent. Educational practices that take into account the potential of promoting learning interactions within heterogeneous groups of students have already demonstrated contributing to educational inclusion of students with special needs. In this study we analyse the case of a secondary education school located in Valencian Community (Spain), which educates students with special needs along with their typically developing peers and is characterized by its inclusive ethos. The analysis focuses on three educational strategies implemented in the school and their impact on educational improvement and inclusion of the students with special needs: (1) co-teaching, (2) interactive groups, (3) dialogic literary gatherings. Qualitative data were obtained from communicative focus groups with teachers, communicative life stories with students and relatives, communicative observations of the three educational strategies and documentary analysis. The findings show significant increase in the students' instrumental learning, as well as an improvement in these students' overall inclusion in the school.

Accelerated bridge construction (ABC) is an innovative construction technique used to accelerate the construction of new bridges, as well as the renovation/replacement of existing bridges. Due to the benefits offered by ABC, transportation authorities have a higher preference in executing an accelerated approach over conventional bridge construction. The execution of an accelerated approach has differences when compared to the conventional approach, and it is important to identify such differences for the successful implementation of ABC projects. However, there have been no studies to identify such execution differences. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify execution plan differences relevant to ABC. For this purpose, an extensive literature review was conducted to prepare a preliminary list of execution plan differences. Then, a questionnaire survey was administered with the industry experts, who were previously involved in the execution of ABC projects, to validate the preliminary list. Based on the literature review and the responses from questionnaire survey, this study identified 61 execution plan differences relevant to ABC in different phases of execution. This study is expected to benefit owners, contractors, and road/bridge users for successful execution of ABC projects.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to carry out the literature search on manufacturing organizations and total productive maintenance (TPM). This research aims at studying TPM attributes and barriers in line with the TPM framework for effective implementation of TPM. This study identifies the barriers in TPM implementation and the critical success factors (CSFs) for effective TPM implementation.Design/methodology/approachIn this manuscript, the study of TPM in the manufacturing sector has been considered a broad area of the research and emphasis on the TPM literature review, which primarily relates to the contribution of manufacturing sector and employment availability. Next sections covers TPM history, importance, justification, pillars, obstacles and TPM implementation procedure and models. Thereafter author identified the gaps in existing literature.FindingsThe existing literature shows that very few TPM implementation models are available for the manufacturing sector. The study also found that there is no systematically conducted large-scale empirical research which deals with TPM implementation. In order to bridge this gap, an investigation into the successful implementation of TPM in is truly needed. The finding of the literature shows that there is a need of TPM model specially developed for the manufacturing sector. The identified critical factors derived from the extensive literature review help to overcome the barriers for effective TPM implementation.Research limitations/implicationsThis review study is limited to Indian manufacturing industries. The identified TPM CSFs are based on the TPM pillars and their sub-factors. This cross-sectional study was based on the existing TPM model.Practical implicationsThis paper can increase the significance of TPM strategy, which could help managers of organizations to have a better understanding of the benefits of implementing TPM and therefore enable patient satisfaction within their organizations.Originality/valueThe literature review covers methodical identification of TPM barriers and critical factors for maintenance performance improvements. It allows the practitioners to apply these identified CSFs for TPM implementation to achieve an improvement in industrial performance and competitiveness.

Innovations are vital to most organizations especially in this competitive and globalized scenario. Nevertheless, the results of innovations are in many cases far from satisfactory. Several studies have shown that an organization's failure to benefit from an adopted innovation can often be attributed to a deficient implementation process rather than to the innovation itself. Thus, the implementation process is a critical interface between the decision to adopt and the routine usage of an innovation. Ways and methods to implement innovation effectively have been under scholarship for some time now. Despite the number of studies which identify multiple causes of unsuccessful implementation processes, literature is lacking regarding the crucial aspects of innovation implementation. Building on the derived knowledge of the underlying dynamics of innovation processes, through grounded theory and in-depth literature review, the present study aims to contribute to existing implementation literature by examining the strategic facets of innovation implementation.

PurposeThe aim of this paper is to present the main findings of the studies in the field of quality management (QM) in primary and secondary education. Grouping these findings into themes and these themes, in turn, into broad categories as well as prioritizing the themes of findings are also aims of the present study.Design/methodology/approachA systematic literature review (SLR) of articles focusing on QM in primary and secondary education was carried out based on major publishers, namely Emerald Online, Taylor and Francis, Elsevier/Science Direct, Springer Link, Sage Publishing and Online. In total, 133 articles published in 62 journals during 1983–2019 were collected. The affinity diagram was applied in order to group the findings of the QM studies into logical themes and these themes into broad categories. Moreover, the Pareto diagram was applied to prioritize the themes revealed.FindingsA plethora of articles focusing on QM in primary and secondary education have been published in the last decades. The findings of the QM studies presented in the 133 reviewed articles are grouped into 43 themes and these themes, in turn, into 6 broad categories, namely management practices, school characteristics, teachers, stakeholders, government and pupils. The analysis also reveals themes that can be characterized as “vital” and “useful.”Practical implicationsResearchers and school managers can take into consideration the findings of the QM studies in primary and secondary education as well as the themes of high priority for the design of future studies and QM implementation plans, respectively.Originality/valueThis is the first literature review study which presents analytically the findings of the QM studies in primary and secondary education. This study also contributes to the literature by formulating meaningful themes of these findings and broad categories of these themes and by prioritizing the themes revealed.

Purpose In the present context of a globalised economy, market requirements are changing regularly in term of product cost, delivery time, safety and environmental issues. Apart from conventional measures, environmental factors have become an integral part of performance measurement system. This study aims to analyse major barriers and factors in green supply chain (GSC) management implementation. Design/methodology/approach The present study has tried to identify barriers and factors for green supply chain management (GSCM) based on literature review. Factors for GSCM have been modelled by interpretive structural modelling (ISM) approach. Findings Based on literature review, 12 factors have been identified. It has been observed that top management commitment, integration among supply chain members, vendors’ development, environmental friendly packaging and transportation, reverse logistic management and development of a green performance measurement system are major drivers for successful implementation of GSCM. Research Limitations/implications Organisations need to follow a proactive approach for taking GSC initiatives. For generalisation of findings, empirical study and some case studies need to be carried out. Originality/value Findings of this study will help organisations in strategy formulation for GSCM and successful implementation for sustainable competitiveness.

Online reviews about the purchase of products or services provided have become the main source of users’ opinions. In order to gain profit or fame, usually spam reviews are written to promote or demote a few target products or services. This practice is known as review spamming. In the past few years, a variety of methods have been suggested in order to solve the issue of spam reviews. In this study, the researchers carry out a comprehensive review of existing studies on spam review detection using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Overall, 76 existing studies are reviewed and analyzed. The researchers evaluated the studies based on how features are extracted from review datasets and different methods and techniques that are employed to solve the review spam detection problem. Moreover, this study analyzes different metrics that are used for the evaluation of the review spam detection methods. This literature review identified two major feature extraction techniques and two different approaches to review spam detection. In addition, this study has identified different performance metrics that are commonly used to evaluate the accuracy of the review spam detection models. Lastly, this work presents an overall discussion about different feature extraction approaches from review datasets, the proposed taxonomy of spam review detection approaches, evaluation measures, and publicly available review datasets. Research gaps and future directions in the domain of spam review detection are also presented. This research identified that success factors of any review spam detection method have interdependencies. The feature’s extraction depends upon the review dataset, and the accuracy of review spam detection methods is dependent upon the selection of the feature engineering approach. Therefore, for the successful implementation of the spam review detection model and to achieve better accuracy, these factors are required to be considered in accordance with each other. To the best of the researchers’ knowledge, this is the first comprehensive review of existing studies in the domain of spam review detection using SLR process.

The rise of the Internet, mobile technologies and digital disruption have changed the retail business as well as the implementation of the levers of retail mix and the behavior of shoppers. Online channel has become an appealing channel where retailers can sell their products and services. The proliferation of channels and touch points has affected not only consumer behavior but also companies' business models. Many retailers have started to develop multichannel and omnichannel strategies by adding new channels through which interact with the customers. Retailers are now concentrating on how shoppers are influenced by new technologies and how they switch across channels during their research and buying process. Omnichannel retailing, defined as the conceptualization of the complete integration of all channels, with no distinction between the online and the physical channel, is the new retailing paradigm of today. The topic itself is particularly relevant as technological development continue to disrupt retail strategies and practitioners are debating as to how to respond.  Particularly, managers are worried about how to manage the several touch points, which are now simultaneously available to customers. Concerning with the present research, we attempt to describe this development by analyzing the existing literature about topics that we can classify within the omnichannel paradigm. In order to explain how both literature and business models are moving from multichannel retailing towards the implementation of omnichannel strategies, we follow a blended approach based on literature review, theoretical background as well as some interesting managerial insights resulting from business’ case histories. To address the concerns of managers and retailers about the new challenges they will need to face in implementing an omnichannel retailing approach, we  present a theoretical framework, concerning with the adoption of the omnichannel as an innovative strategy in the overall marketing strategies. To deal with the topic we start from three research questions that guide our literature review as well as our theoretical framework. We investigate what are the key drivers that have stimulated retailers to develop an omnichannel retailing strategy, what are the new challenges that retailers will need to face when they decide to implement an omnichannel strategy in their overall marketing strategy and finally what are the possible outcomes of a correct and successful implementation of an omnichannel retailing strategy. Therefore, our theoretical framework explains key drivers, new challenges and potential outcomes coming from the adoption of the omnichannel retailing in order to help managers and practitioners who might decide to enter the omnichannel retailing.
