The task of the teacher to give instructions and guide students for more progressive in their knowledge, skills and self-constructivity to develop their potential. The teacher carries out his duties requiring technical skills that are supported by certain personality attitudes, and are guided by a code of ethics at the institution where he works, especially in Islamic education institutions. Technical skills, personality attitudes, obedience to religious values ​​should develop when teaching profession is supported, and the situation provides opportunities in a professional manner, and teacher can realize the vision and mission of teaching and simultaneously carry out the vision and targets of the educational institutions in which they work. Increased professionalism of teachers requires Total Quality Management (TQM) which aims to encourage management to work in total to improve quality, quality assurance and provide satisfaction to customers; parents, students themselves and other stakeholders. This paper will outline the role of TQM in increasing the professionalism of teachers in Islamic education institutions

ABSTRACT One of the important challenges of Islamic educational institutions today is the weak managerial quality of the institution. This article will discuss Total Quality Management (TQM) in educational institutions, how to improve the quality of educational institutions that are managed. TQM is a management approach that can be applied in Islamic education institutions to be more effective in managing their educational resources. TQM is also called integrated quality management because it departs from efforts to improve quality in an integrated manner, covering quality, energy, infrastructure, management, and graduates.

Entering the past decade, the issue of quality has always been the talk of the actual, especially in the context of education management. Recognized or not, the quality of Islamic education institutions are still largely under the quality of education in general. Various attempts have been made and many of the concepts that have been applied, but everything seemed not bring significant improvement. "Total Quality Management (TQM) or Integrated Quality Management (MMT) as an effort to improve the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. Although at first the concept of MMT is only known in the industry, but the amazing success invite the interest of education experts, 3 to study it more deeply, formulate operational patterns of adoption, and to create a model in teknical to apply. This research was conducted in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. Consideration is SMP Muhammadiyah I Gurgaon is one of the Islamic educational institutions (schools distinctively Islamic) 5 formal mission has always been to apply concepts of Quality Management (TQM). This study resulted in that SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok already implementing Total Quality Management in the management of education. However, the application of Total Quality Management in SMP Muhammadiyah I Depok can be said is not fully maximized, in the sense that there are still some things that need to be evaluated together.

Alumni have a strategic role including improving the quality of education and developing various extracurricular activities in schools and alumni who have competence can play an important function in building public opinion to attract new students and public. This article discusses the role of alumni according to the Total Quality Management (TQM) perspective to find out related matters, namely the understanding and role of alumni, how the characteristics of integrated quality schools and how alumni management is according to the TQM perspective. The results of the analysis show the characteristics of quality schools have 5 quality pillars which include a focus on customers, total involvement, measurement, commitment and continuous improvement. The pillars are based on school beliefs. Alumni are able to make many contributions in improving the quality of education, therefore there is a need for alumni management. Alumni management includes the development of alumni networks, alumni construction of educational institutions, institutional governance of alumni management and methods for tracing alumni data through electronic and social media.Keywords: Alumni, educational institutions, schools, total quality management.

The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) on business performance in various dimensions. This study proposes a conceptual model that intends to study several research hypotheses. The data were obtained through an online questionnaire, sent to pharmaceutical companies manufactured generic products in Indonesia. The study was conducted based on responses received from 168 valid questionnaires, and it was used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. Furthermore, we use both of reflective and formative construct with second order/higher order construct in our model of study which is rarely found in the previous study. This research analyzed the dimensions studied in different aspects. TQM variable consists of seven practice, namely management commitment, supplier quality, employee involvement, leadership management, customer orientation, continuous improvement and quality management system, and with respect to business performance, this variable was analyzed through four different perspectives, namely, financial, customer, internal business process and learning & growth. The findings indicate that companies adopt total quality management get improvement in their business performance. Leadership management has greater effect on the successful of TQM practice compared to other TQM dimensions. This study also provides a particular contribution for the companies and expect to be used as feedback related to the execution of their TQM implementation to improve their business performance. Zakat becomes part of the obligations of Muslims who must be paid and given to those who are entitled to receive zakat. The distribution of zakat which is intended for the recipient and the amount of zakat is often not recorded accurately. There is a discrepancy between the amount of zakat and the number of recipients of zakat. Then a new breakthrough is needed through the implementation of toral quality management and the application of good governance so that it is expected that all incoming zakat and the number of recipients of zakat can be recorded. This study aims to examine the effect of the implementation of total quality management and the role of good governance on muzakki trust (a study at the Amil Zakat Institute in Batam City). The population in this study is the number of residents of the city of Batam in 2017 amounted to 1,062,250 inhabitants. Determination of the sample using the formula Hair, et al (2010) so that the total sample is 100 respondents. Data analysis using multiple linear regression with SPSS 23. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of total quality management has a significant positive effect on muzakki trust, the application of good governance has a significant negative effect on muzakki trust and the implementation of total quality management and the application of good governance simultaneously has a significant positive effect on muzakki trust.

Quality of education prepares one to meet the challenges in the society and therefore, become economically productive, contribute to peaceful and independent societies and enhance individual well-being. In recent years, TQM and school climate has received worldwide attention and been adopted in many educational institutions, particularly in developed countries. However, in developing countries the amount of research is scarce into successful implementation of TQM and school climate. This study aims to investigate the relationships, between TQM and school climate with the key dimension of teachers’ student’s relationship, decision making, collaborative, teaching innovation and school resources to achieve high school performance. The purpose of this study is to highlight the concept of TQM in the field of educational institutions to achieve the quality in education. In order to understand the issue, this conceptual paper reviewed several published research papers and identify the TQM and school climate dimensions to make a conceptual framework. The main objective of this paper is to focus on the effects of total quality management on students’ academic achievement of secondary school students in Pakistan with better school climate.
