Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) hubungan Kepemimpinan Kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah,(2) hubungan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah (3) hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi rx1y= 0.497. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah terhadap keefektifan sekolah adalah sebesar 18.77%, (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi rx2y= 0.525. Sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh variabel budaya sekolah terhadap keefektifan sekolah adalah sebesar 21.96% dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya sekolah dengan keefektifan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0.638.  Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, sekolah efektif.  Abstract.  Towards Effective Schools: Leadership and School Culture Contribution. The study aims at determining (1) the correlation between principal leadership and school effectiveness,  (2) the correlation between  school culture and school effectiveness (3) the correlation between principal leadership and school culture towards school effectiveness. The results of this study revealed that (1) there is a positive and significant correlation between principal peadership and school effectiveness,  with the correlation coefficient rX1Y = 0.497. The effective contribution given by the principal leadership variable with school effectiveness towards school effectiveness was 18.77%, (2) there is a positive and significant correlation between school culture and school effectiveness with the correlation coefficient rX2Y = 0.525. The effective contribution given by the school culture variables to the effectiveness of schools is 21.96% and (3) there is a positive and significant correlation between principal leadership and school culture towards school effectiveness with a correlation coefficient R = 0.638..  Keywords: marketing services, education, Islamic elementary school

This study aimed to (1) describe principal leadership and the context of the overall school teacher culture that cultivated an award-wining team at an elementary school; (2) analyze the award-winning team’s learning behaviors, shared goals, values, beliefs, mutual interactions or dialogues, and experience sharing among members; and (3) unveil the key factors that shape excellent teaching team culture and its functions. Major findings are: 1. The award-winning teacher group at the school was able to facilitate the development of professional co-operation and teaching innovation within the school, and transform the school into a learning community. 2. The campus ethics of affiliation, collegiality, and experience-heritage was enforced at the award-wining elementary school. 3. The school leaders, especially the principal, had a critical impact on the development of school teacher culture via their determination and encouragement. 4. Both the school principal and the school’s senior teachers played an exemplary and leading role in shaping a high-quality school culture for professional development. The study concludes that the principal and the senior teachers played an exemplary and leading role in shaping a positive school culture, and that a positive school culture can enhance school effectiveness and productive power.

This article aims to determine the relationship intrapreneurial leadership, school culture and innovation performance of elementary school teachers in East Jakarta. This research uses survey method with correlation approach. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between intrapreneurial leadership and school culture on teacher innovation performance of elementary school in East Jakarta where the result of double correlation coefficient test (Ry.12) = 0,885 and F count (F Change) = 266,395, and p -value = 0,000 <0.05, and While the coefficient of determination (R square) = 0,784, which means that the intrapreneurial leadership (X1) and school culture (X2) together influence 78,4% to the performance of innovation (Y). This study aims to grasp the policy of state defense which embedded through the form of school culture which plays an important role to shape the character of state defense in Katolik Karya, Toboali Elementary School, Bangka Belitung. This also seeks to capture how state defense culture is effectivelly implemented to support the students’ character. This study uses descriptive qualitative, in which data and information are obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and documents involving principals, teachers, education staff, and students. This study found that the school already has developed policy to instill a state defense culture which is introduced by the Tunas Karya Foundation. The state defense policy is developed through a set of values which are arranged in the ten main character as a genuine of cultural product to form of student character. Schools conduct a state defense policy through habituation with a nurturing and modeling approach by teachers. This study also shows that the habituation of the ten main character values in making state defense behavior is quite effective. Based on the assessment results, the data shows that the majority of students have regularly employed the habituation of the state defense with average marks at 82 point.

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los criterios y modelos estadísticos empleados en un estudio de eficacia escolar desarrollado en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco empleando como variable criterio los resultados en matemáticas, comprensión lectora en lengua castellana y en lengua vasca, resultantes de las evaluaciones de Diagnóstico aplicadas en cinco años. Se definen cuatro criterios de eficacia escolar: puntuaciones extremas, residuos extremos, crecimiento de puntuaciones y crecimiento de residuos. Para ello se han aplicado técnicas de regresión multinivel empleando modelos jerárquicos lineales. Los resultados permiten una selección de centros tanto de alta como de baja eficacia que se basa en cuatro enfoques distintos y complementarios de la eficacia (o ineficacia) escolar. The aim of this paper is to present the statistical criteria and models used in a school effectiveness research carried out in the Basque Country Autonomous Community using as outcome variable the mathematics, spanish language and basque language scores. These scores come from the Diagnosis Assessments applied for five years. Four school effectiveness criteria are defined: extreme scores, extreme residuals, scores growth and residuals growth. Multilevel regression techniques have been applied using hierarchical linear models (HLM). Results have permitted a selection of both high and low effective schools based on four different and complementary school effectiveness approaches.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan: budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan komitmen; komunikasi dengan komitmen, komitmen dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan kinerja melalui komitmen; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru melalui komitmen. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 250 orang guru di 100 Sekolah yang dipilih secara stratified proporsional random sampling dari populasi sebesar 2.276 orang guru yang tersebar di 274 SD Negeri di Kota Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriftip dan analisi jalur. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komitmen memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja guru, komitmen merupakan perantara hubugan budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru dan hubungan komunikasi dengan kinerja guru. Kata Kunci: budaya sekolah, komunikasi, komitmen, kinerja THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL CULTURE, COMMUNICATION, AND COMMITMENT AND THE STATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the relationship between: school culture and tea- chers’ performance; communication and teachers’ commitment; school culture and commitment; communication and commitment; commitment and teachers’ performance; school culture and performance through commitment; communication and teachers’ performance through commitment. The sample consisting of 250 teachers from 100 schools was selected using the stratified proportional random sampling technique from a population of 2,276 teachers teaching in 274 state elementary schools in Banjarmasin Municipality. The data were collected using an instrument which had been validated and which was reliable. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis and the path analysis. The findings showed that there was relationship between: school culture and teachers’ performance, communication and performance, school culture and commitment, communication and commitment, commitment and teachers’ performance. Commitment became an intervening variable between school culture and teachers’ performance and between communication and teachers’ performance. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji dampak gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, dan motivasi terhadap kinerja guru di SMP Swasta Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar. Jumlah anggota populasi adalah 31 orang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner atau sensus. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner yang dibagikan secara langsung kepada responden untuk mencari data yang berhubungan dengan penelitian ini. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dan hasil pengumpulan data menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, variabel gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, variabel budaya sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, dan variabel motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Temuan empiris tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru, maka SMP Swasta Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar perlu memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru, seperti kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, budaya sekolah, dan motivasi.  Dengan mengetahui pengaruh hubungan tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai parameter untuk merancang strategi dimasa yang akan datang guna meningkatkan kinerja guru. AbstractThis study aims to examine the impact of principals' leadership style, school culture, and motivation on teacher performance at Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar Middle School. The number of members of the population is 31 people. Therefore, this study uses a quantitative descriptive method using a questionnaire or census. The research instrument in this study is a questionnaire that was distributed directly to respondents to look for data related to this study. The data analysis method used is the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of the study and the results of data collection showed that partially, the principal leadership style variable had a significant effect on teacher performance, the school culture variable had a significant effect on teacher performance, and the motivation variable had a significant effect on teacher performance. The empirical findings indicate that to improve teacher performance, Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar Middle School needs to pay attention to the factors that influence teacher performance, such as principals' leadership, school culture, and motivation. Because by knowing the effect of the relationship can be used as a parameter to design a strategy in the future to improve teacher performance.

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of principal leadership and teacher performance on student achievement in SMA NegeriLubuk Raja OganKomeringUlu (OKU) District. The method used is a quantitative method. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The results of the study can be concluded that the test results show that the higher the effective leadership of the principal, the higher the student achievement squared the correlation coefficient between the two variables is 0.588. The square of the correlation coefficient between the two variables (r2y2) of 0.5069 can be interpreted that if other variables are not controlled, then 50.69% of the proportion of student achievement variance can be explained by the level of teacher performance. and the multiple correlation coefficient between the two independent variables with the dependent variable Ry.12 of 0.684. From the correlation coefficient, the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.684 means that 68.40% of the proportion of student achievement variants can be explained jointly by the principal's leadership and teacher performance.
