Pembentukan Karakter Menurut Ki Hajar Dewantara dan Relevansinya dengan Pendidikan Islam

Character building is an integral part of the main objective of education. Not only related to the development of scientific insights, but Islamic education is also oriented to the formation of morals (character). In Indonesia, the educational figure Ki Hajar Dewantara has a unique perspective on education and its strategy in shaping students' character. In this research, several problem formulations are proposed, including 1) what is the method of character building according to Ki Hajar Dewantara ?, 2) How is the character-building method in Islamic education? This type of research is research (Library Research), which takes library materials that have something to do with the problem under study. This research concludes that character education, according to Ki Hajar Dewantara consists of among, ngemong and among as well as ngerti, ngrasa and nglakoni. Meanwhile, its relevance to Islamic education is the concept of character building Ki Hajar combining morality, intellect and spirituality, the three of which are circularly applicable in the concept of Islamic faith, which is not only limited to believing and understanding, but also implementing it in everyday life

It is natural that morality is a very important foundation in human life. So the formation of character (morals) is part of the main mission of the Prophet Muhammad. Therefore in forming character, it is important to have a formulation of the organization of Islamic education as character education. In formulating it back to the source of Allah's guidance in His shari'a. This study aims to determine the character building of children with the approach of al-Qur'an based education. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research (library research). The conclusion of this study is the education of the Qur'an gradually bringing someone to knowledge who finally was able to practice and reflect in everyday life into a praiseworthy personality. To get a proper understanding of the study of the Qur'an, it is necessary to approach it to reflect what is being read.

This article reveals the contents of moral values in the Book of Syi'ir Ngudi Susilo by K. H. Bisri Musthofa and their relevance to Islamic education. This research is included in the type of library research (library research) by discussing qualitative, while in collecting data using the library method, the analysis used in this thesis is content analysis (content analysis). The results obtained from this study are: (1) the collection of the Ngudi Susilo Syi'ir Book will mean from moral values, consisting of 9 (Nine) chapters that discuss morality in everyday life (2) moral values that contained in this book are morals towards Allah, morals towards oneself, morals with parents, morals with educators, morals with nation and state, and morals with the environment. (3) the relevance of moral values to Islamic education is the importance of involving and applying moral values to the education of children from an early age. Education with Syi'ir can facilitate the internalization of moral values in students.

Meaning And Purpose

Islamic education is an educational process that originates from the Qur'an and as-Sunnah. Al-Qur'an has included various character values in the stories of prophets and apostles. This study aims to describe the character values contained in the Qur'an. These values have relevance to the values of character education in Indonesia. This study uses a research library research approach by examining the values of character education in the Koran. The references used are books relating to the interpretation of the Koran and text-based character education books. The results found are 1) there are 17 character values in the Qur'an. (2) these values are relevant to the character values that have been set by national education because of the similarity of meaning and purpose, namely students have character as civilized individuals in all aspects of life. This research is a paper that makes the Qur'an as the main object of discussion. Therefore the results of this study can be used by Muslims as a reference in various educational institutions and propaganda.

This study tries to unravel the problems of street children related to character building, especially in the aspects of personal and social skills. So we need a model of character education that is considered suitable to be implemented in street children. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods. The results of this study conclude that, Among the character education models that can be implemented on street children are problem-based learning models, emphasizing more on the application of problem solving methods or problem solving which by John Dewey consists of six learning steps as follows: 1) formulating problems; 2) analyze the problem; 3) formulate hypotheses; 4) collect data; 5) hypothesis testing; and 6) formulate problem solving recommendations.

<p>Character education is a self building and a planned effort which aim to foster the character of students to strengthen their character. It is said that establishing character education can help students understand the values of human behavior related to God, self and others. Aim of this study is to explore good values connected character education establishment stemming from hadits (sayings of the Prophet). Method of this study is a literature review to investigate books containing hadits. In this effort, researchers tried to find meanings of the hadits connective to character building. Findings show that character education is needed, because education is not only aimed at fostering smart students, but education also aims to foster character and decency in everyday life. If students have character, then the nation will be good. Because students are the nation's next generation, they must educate their own character from an early age so that when they become the nation's successor they are not only smart, but also have character. Therefore, the inculcation of character values in students must start as early as possible, that is, the period in which children absorb a lot of future applied knowledge.</p>

Indonesia: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri strategi dan media pendidikan karakter menurut AlQuran dan ilmu pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka, yakni mengumpulkan data atau informasi dari berbagai sumber. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode tafsir tematik, yaitu dengan menelusuri dan menafsirkan ayat-ayat Alquran dan pemikiran pendidikan Islam yang sesuai.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakter tidak jujur menyebabkan kekufuran, kemunafikan, menyulitkan rezeki, mengundang permusuhan, tindakan tidak bermoral, hukuman dan kutukan Allah dan Manusia. Penyebab kebohongan adalah kelemahan iman, dorongan nafsu, sifat arogan dan takut kemiskinan. Strategi untuk mencegah kebohongan adalah: 1) memperkuat iman, 2) memberikan pemahaman yang baik kepada anak tentang kebohongan, 3) memberi contoh, 4) hubungan yang terbuka, dan 5) tidak memberikan hukuman yang berlebihan. Media pendidikan karakter adalah: 1) kotak kejujuran, 2) buku kontak prestasi, dan 3) kantin kejujuran.English:This article aims to explore strategies and media of characters education based on the Quran and Islamic education. The method is a research library which collected data or information from sources.Data analysis techniques used thematic interpretationmethods, by searching and interpreting verses of the Quran and Islamic education ideas. The results of this study indicate that the characters dishonest causes kufr, hypocrisy, complicate sustenance, invites hostility, immoral act and the punishment and curse of Allah Swt and Human. The cause lies is the weakness of faith, encouragement lust, arrogant nature and fear of poverty. The Strategies to prevent lie are: 1) strengthening the faith, 2) providing a good understanding to the child about the lies, 3) set the example, 4) a relationship that is open, and 5) no excessive punishment. Media of character education are: 1) an honesty box, 2) a book of achievements contact, and 3) an honesty canteen.

AbstractThis study is motivated by the rampant violence among students. Islamic Education (PAI) as part of character education is seen to give a hand in influencing students’ attitudes and actions. This study aims to answer the question on how to shape the potential radicalism in the material books of PAI for Elementary Schools. Through qualitative approach with library research method, the study found the value of radicalism in the Islamic education material. The radical value which may affect the attitude of the students is the attitude of religious militancy driven by the spirit of jihad and towards other group / faiths, as well as narrow religious understanding. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh maraknya tindak kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh para pelajar. Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter dipandang ikut memberikan andil dalam mempengaruhi sikap dan tindakan siswa. Penelitian ini dimakudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan bagaimana bentuk potensi radikalisme dalam materi buku Ajar PAI Sekolah Dasar. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library recearch, penelitian ini menemukan adanya nilai radikalisme dalam materi pembejaran pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar. Nilai radikal yang dapat mempengaruhi sikap siswa yaitu sikap militansi keagamaan, yang didorong oleh ajaran jihat dan anti terhadap kelompok/penganut agama lain, serta pemahaman keagamaan yang sempit.

Degradation of moral consciousness, especially in the politic and Indonesian government bureaucracy, in recent times that was pictured by various anomalies and immorality, such as a corruption, has become a negative “cultural norm”, which seem very difficult to be controlled. The condition of national spirit and morality suggested the need of redevelopment of model of character education (character building) as a national healing. Imam Zarkasyi implemented several principles of character building in the Pesantren of Darussalam Gontor. He taught his pupils on the basis of the virtues of the excellences with refer to the Panca Jiwa and the Four Mottos of Modernity of the Pesantren as their living values. His reformative efforts in the context of contemporary Islamic education are actually intended to the development of character, in other words, “character building”, by implementing the principle of the Golden Mean of Ibn Miskawaih. Some aspects of Zarkasyi's principles of education that might be supportive for developing the national character education program, and still relevant for today are: firstly, moral education should have the leadership insights; secondly, moral education should have the objective moral values as the teleological purposes; thirdly, moral education should be built through the best environment, in order to be optimized and efficient; and fourthly, moral education curriculum should be integrated and comprehensive. So, the Zarkasyi's concept of character building, and the education movement became the concept of character education that quite mature and should be extracted by our nation.
