Supervisi Teman Sejawat Sebagai Evaluasi Diri
Academic supervision has a very important role in increasing the professional competence of teachers. Based on studies in the field the implementation of the supervision of teachers of SMK Negeri 10 Padang has not run optimally because of the inability of supervisors appointed for teacher supervision because supervisors are incompetent. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the academic supervision model based on teacher self-evaluation and teacher peer assessment. This study uses a qualitative approach, research data obtained from interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis method combines two forms, Miles & Huberman's analysis (1984). The technique of analyzing data uses qualitative data analysis through three lines of activities: (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, and (c) verification of the conclusions. The results of observing the competence and completeness of teaching tools are better supervised teachers than peers who are supervisors. The need for school principals to evaluate peer supervision programs and appoint competent people as supervisors.
