This study aims to describe the TGT model assisted by petting games to improve students' critical thinking skills. This class action research will be carried out in class IV SDN Pati Wetan 03 with research subjects 35 students and teachers planned in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interview, documentation, and test techniques. Analysis of the data used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. Results Increased student learning activities attitudes in the first cycle of 75.5 and increased in the second cycle to 80.5. Whereas the students' learning activities aspects of skills in the first cycle amounted to 70.5 and increased in the second cycle to 79.7. Increased students' critical thinking skills in the first cycle by 70.2 and increased in the second cycle to 81.6. The results of the study can be concluded that the results of the application of the model assisted by plete playing media can improve students' critical thinking skills. Problems that are often encountered in learning activities include students having difficulty expressing ideas and opinions related to lecture material, when their discussions are more fixated on explaining the reading sources they get either through books or through other electronic media without being able to develop and explain rationally, analysis, as well as critical of the source of the reading. In terms of lecturers as educators, in providing learning to students, on average, they still use conventional patterns, namely the lecture model where students only act as recipients of information from the lecturers. All of this will certainly lead to the development of students' critical thinking skills during lectures. The ability to think critically, of course cannot be obtained just like that without a process in education, and not everyone can easily get it. This study aims to determine how to improve students' thinking skills through a jigsaw learning model. The method used in this research is class action with two cycles. The results showed that there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills after using the jigsaw learning model in learning activities.Key words : Learning, Model of Jigsaw Learning, Critical Thinking Ability

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada konsep suhu, kalor dan perpindahan kalor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA 3 yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk aktivitas belajar siswa dan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 25 dalam kategori baik, siklus II sebesar 27,5 dalam kategori baik, dan siklus III sebesar 29 dalam kategori baik. Hasil tes ketemampuan berpikir kritis siswa skor rata-rata kelas per siklus mengalami peningkatan tiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I diperoleh hasil sebesar 70,57 dengan kategori cukup, siklus II diperoleh hasil sebesar 82,30 dengan kategori baik, pada siklus III diperoleh hasil sebesar 90,57 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswaKata Kunci : Model Discovery Learning, Aktivitas Belajar Siswa, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis ABSTRACT This research was aimed to improve students' critical thinking skills on the concepts of temperature, heat and heat transfer. This research was a classroom action research that conducted in four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were all students of class XI IPA 3, amounting to 26 students. The instrument used was an observation sheet for student learning activities and test questions for students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study indicated that student learning activities in the first cycle with an average score of 25 in the good category, the second cycle of 27.5 in the good category, and the third cycle of 29 in the good category. The results of students' critical thinking skills test scores on average per class has increased each cycle. In cycle I obtained results of 70.57 with enough categories, cycle II obtained results of 82.30 with good categories, in cycle III obtained results of 90.57 with very good categories. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills and student learning activities. After they applied the Think Talk Write learning models assisted by rotating wheel media on IV- grade students of SDN Talun 01 with 28 research subjects. This type of research was classroom action research. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely, planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The independent variable in this study was the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by the rotating wheel media, and the dependent variable was the skill to think critically. The instruments in this study were tests, interviews, observation, and documentation instruments. Data analysis techniques used in this study were quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of this class action research can be seen from the achievement of the following indicators, namely (1) critical thinking skills, classical completeness of pre-cycle students by 62% (less) and increased on the first cycle by 72% (less), and increased in cycle II by 85% (good). (2) Student learning activities in the first cycle, attitude field, were 73% (less) and increased in the second cycle by 86% (good). Then, student learning activities in the cycle I, skills field were 74% (less) and increased in cycle II by 87% (good). Furthermore, it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write learning model assisted with the 7th theme rotating wheel media about the diverse beauty in my country on IV- grade students of SDN.

This research is motivated by the importance of mathematic critical thinking ability for students and the low ability of students matematics critical thinking. The population in this study were all students of SMPN 2 Cimahi class VII, while the sample was students of class VII-7. Then through observation and interview determined 6 students as research subjects. The method used in this study is analytic descriptive. The research instrument is 5 essay questions that represent indicators of mathematic critical thinking ability. The results showed that the average achievement of students in each indicator was less than 50%, which means it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills are still relatively low.

Abstract: Math is able to train logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking of students. Mathematical critical thinking ability is a capability that supports a variety of other mathematical thinking abilities. The students' critical thinking ability is also closely related to the personality or character of the student. Personality can affect how a person behaves, thinks, or interacts with around. The personality types discussed in this study are examined from four types of temperaments by the theories of Hippocrates and Galenus. This research includes the type of qualitative research that uses descriptive qualitative research methodology. This research will be conducted on the students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi. The thing described in this research is the students' mathematical critical thinking based on the dominant personality type on linear program solution. The results of personality tests of the instrument adapted from the patterns of personality by Lana Bateman found 40 dominant students that is the type of phlegmatic personality. Furthermore, based on sampling technique that is purposive sampling technique, 2 students are taken as research subjects ie phlegmatic students with the highest level of critical thinking ability called first phlegmatic students and phlegmatic students with the lowest level of critical thinking ability is called second phlegmatic student. From the results obtained can be concluded that the first phlegmatic students have the level of critical thinking skills are very critical and the second phlegmatic students have a critical level of critical thinking is not critical. This is inversely between the ability to think critically and the type of phlegmatic personality. The first phlegmatic student with enough phlegmatic category has critical critical mathematical thinking and the second phlegmatic student with very high / dominant phlegmatic category, critical critical thinking ability is not critical.Keywords: Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability, Four Temperament Types

This research aims to determine the difference of students' critical thinking ability between class which get Project Based Learning (PjBL) method and expository method. The method use experimental method with factorial design 2x2. The research subjects are class X-IPS 1 as an experimental class consists of 32 students and class X-IPS 2 as a control class consists of 32 students. The data collection techniques use test and questionnaires. While, the data analysis technique uses two way Anova. From the result of data analysis, PjBL method is more effective in improving students� critical thinking ability compared with expository method. However, there is a difference in critical thinking skills, where students with high motivation levels are more effective than students with low motivation. For students who have high motivation but use PjBL method, it is better when compared with students who have high motivation but use expository methods in the control class. There is an interaction between learning methods with learning motivation in affecting the students� critical thinking ability. Therefore, it is recommended for teacher to use PjBL method on cooperative material. In PjBL method, teachers play an important role in the implementation of the learning process for it requires mastery of materials and good class management and students should actively participate in project execution activities to make learning more meaningful.

Mathematical Critical thinking is one of  mathematical abilities that must be obtained by students. Critical thinking is one of the high order thinking processes that can make concepts in student knowledge.  Students with critical thinking in mathematics learning mostly do rational activities such as interpreting information based on a particular theoretical framework, linking theory with practice, making claims and justifying it, utilizing data in support of argumentation, making relations or relationships between various ideas, asking questions, evaluating knowledge, predict, describe something, analyze, synthesize, and categorize. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Concept-Based Learning Model on the critical thingking mathematical abilities.The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Concept-Based Learning Model toward mathematics critical thinking ability. The method used in this research is quasi experiment by Randomize Control Group Post Test Only Design with cluster random sampling technique. Indicators of mathematics critical thinking skills measured in this study include providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making more explanations, and deciding an action. The results showed that the mathematics critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class for the five indicators that being analyze was higher than the ability of students in the control class. A fairly high difference in the indicator showed in give a simple explanation and concluding. and it means that the application of Concept-Based Learning Model significantly influences the  abilities  of students' mathematics critical thinking.

This research was conducted to identify and describe prospective teachers’ critical thinking skills profile as readiness to face the industrial revolution 4.0. This research was a descriptive research. Research subjects were  chemistry education students who are prospective chemistry teachers. The instruments used in this study were the Critical Thinking Ability Test and Critical Thinking Ability Questionnaire. The instrument used is valid and reliable. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking skills of prospective chemistry teacher students are still in sufficient criteria with average score 46,7. It was also found that students' critical thinking skills in 5th  semester  were better than those in semester 3rd and 1st with average score 57,46 and 41. This result was also supported by differences in student performance for each indicator of critical thinking skills. Chemistry students show better performance on indicators of building basic skills compared to other critical thinking skills indicators. Meanwhile, the indicators on building strategies and tactics of chemistry education students still showed  poor performance than other indicators. This needs to be improved immediately in order to prepare prospective chemistry teachers who are ready to compete in facing the industrial revolition 4.0. Improvements can be made by designing learning methods, teaching materials and evaluation tools that can improve students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: critical thinking skill, education 4.0., prospective chemistry teachers, revolutioanl industry 4.0ABSTRAK.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru kimia sebagai kesiapan dalam menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa pendidikan kimia yang merupakan calon guru kimia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kuisioner keterampilan berpikir kritis. Instrumen yang digunakan sudah valid dan reliabel.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru kimia masih berada pada kriteria cukup yaitu dengan skor rata-rata 46,7. Selain itu juga ditemukan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa semester 5 lebih baik dibandingkan semester 3 dan semester 1 dengan skor rata-rata masing-masingnya yaitu 57, 46 dan 41.  Hasil ini juga didukung dengan adanya perbedaan performa mahasiswa untuk masing-masing indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Calon guru kimia menunjukkan  performa yang lebih baik pada indikator membangun keterampilan dasar dibandingkan dengan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis lainnya. Sementara itu, pada indikator membangun strategi dan taktik calon guru kimia masih menunjukkan performa yang kurang baik dibandingkan dengan indikator yang lainnya. Hal ini perlu segera diperbaiki guna mempersiapkan calon guru kimia yang siap bersaing menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0. Perbaikan dapat dilakukan dengan cara merancang metode pembelajaran, bahan ajar dan alat evaluasi yang dapat mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kata kunci: calon guru kimia, keterampilan berpikir kritis, pendidikan 4.0, revolusi industri 4.0

ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. Penilaian keterampilan proses ini dilakukan pada dua kegiatan pembelajaran indoor dan kegiatan pembelajaran outdoor. Kemampuan kinerja keterampilan proses siswa kelas VII MTsN 2 bengkulu Selatan termasuk kedalam kategori sangat baik dan Baik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara klasikal termasuk kedalam kategori Kritis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, bahan ajar berbasis lingkungan, Pre test dan post test.

This study originated from the lack of utilization of learning media during the learning process. Teaching methods used by teachers are less varied so that learners are only trained in cognitive abilities only while for high-level thinking skills such as critical thinking ability is still low. One alternative that can be done to improve the skills of critical thinking is to utilize the Software Tracker media. This study aims to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills of learners through the use of Software Tracker media on the material impulse and momentum. The research method used is Pre-Experiment with design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this research using Purposive Sampling technique. The research instrument used in this research is the critical thinking skills of the students of impulse material and momentum to measure the critical thinking ability of learners. The data analysis technique uses normality test, and t test to normalized n-gain value from pretest and posttest value of learners using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of learners increased after utilizing the Software Tracker media during learning. The result of this research is proved from the significant value of ttable test of 1.691 while t count is 24.53 which means H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. The results of this study indicate that the use of Software Tracker media on the material impulse and momentum have a positive impact on improving the critical thinking skills of learners.
