In modern conditions of aggravated competition, the state of each enterprise and its position in the market largely depend on the nature of resource management, that is, the ability to effectively use and develop its resource base. At the same time, under the influence of numerous factors, the situation in all areas is constantly changing, objectively causing the need for various regulatory measures. The work identifies the key parameters of the enterprise functioning, which to a large extent form their own style of resource management, and thus these are priority in case of need for a targeted adjustment of the existing approaches to the use of the resource base. The study is based on the hypothesis of the existence of several characteristic (basic) types of enterprises' behavior with resources, which can be identified and to which all business entities belong to a certain degree of approximation. Each of these types has the own stable and unique features that largely determine the level of resource security. Thus, the vectors for adjusting the behavior style with resources of each enterprise, on the one hand, are broad through their identity, and on the other hand, these features can significantly limit them. In such conditions, the regulation of the level of resource security, without taking into account the specifics of the style of behavior with resources (that already formed), is conceptually limited and makes it impossible to successfully implement the necessary measures. The consideration of the typical affiliation (of a certain style) makes it possible to correctly determine the strategic guidelines for the further enterprise's development in terms of ensuring an appropriate level of resource security. The study methodical basis is multidimensional methods of statistical analysis: cluster – to establish the basic types of enterprises, and discriminant – to further check the quality of the typology obtained and determine the variables that have the greatest separation power in terms of the behavior style with resources of business entities. The study results should contribute to an increase in the degree of the scientific validity of recommendations for the assessment and effective regulation of the resource security level of business entities.

The threefold concept of sustainable development is largely based on the optimal use of limited resources. In this case, the development of an effective toolkit for the conscious influence of business entities to the effectiveness of using its resource base deserves special attention. The study attempts to substantiate the existence of several basic (characteristic) enterprises types in terms of resources usage results and to identify the key parameters that form a certain style of behavior. This approach includes the methods of multivariate statistical analysis (cluster and discriminant). The results obtained make it possible to assert the existence of four basic enterprises types with different styles of resource management, which affects the level of their resource security. Special attention was paid to identifying indicators that have the greatest separation power. In addition, the classification functions were built, and their quality was confirmed, which makes it possible to model the situation of targeted impact on individual indicators (forecasting the future situation for correction). The research results should contribute to an increase in the degree of the scientific validity recommendations for business entities on the rational use of their resource base (effective regulating the level of resource security).

The presence of contemporary entities in the cyber-space shows that IT offers unlimited possibilities of running a business and developing an organisation. On the other hand, it involves a greater number of internal and external threats in the area of accounting information resources security. The objective of the paper is to diagnose the current level of accounting information resources security (AIRS) assurance in Polish business entities. The paper analyses two research hypotheses. In accordance with the first one, the AIRS assurance level in various entity groups may be different, even though all entities should have implemented the same requirements of the Accounting Act in the analyzed area. The identified differences may result from the effect of additional, industry-specific regulations. The other hypothesis claims that in the private business area, accounting and auditing companies adhere to AIRS regulations more strictly than other small and medium enterprises. The paper defines the fundamental factors affecting the functioning of corporate accounting systems in the three dimensions of the cyber-space. Subsequently, the author presents the results of empirical research on how corporate information security is ensured in the context of internal accounting control systems and the requirements of the Polish Accounting Act. The results of the empirical research show how the management of the analysed entities crafts the basic elements of their internal environment as well as internal communication and control processes connected with ensuring information resources security. The results also show the management’s approach to various aspects of risk management of accounting information resources security, as well as to adherence to organisational and administrative procedures, and to hardware and software safeguards in the IT environment of the accounting system. The issues analysed in the present paper open a scholarly discussion that should lead to the development of theoretical models, recommendation of efficient methods and tools, as well as indication of adequate legislative initiatives. Research methods used by the author include analysis of literature and legislation, analysis of survey results, deduction and inference.

In this study, the researcher investigated the biographical and human resource management (HRM) predictors of union membership. The literature reviewed revealed that there is little research on this topic in the South African context. The literature reviewed also showed that males, permanent employees, employees who are less committed, who have a level of quality of work-life (QWL) and engagement, and those who are satisfied are more likely to be unionized. A cross-sectional survey design was used to address the research questions. One thousand questionnaires were distributed and 874 were completed by the respondents at Marabastad Mall in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (CTMM) in South Africa. The study results showed that employment status was the highest predictor ( = -1.782, p<0.05) of union membership, and gender and job satisfaction were not predictors of union members. This study had managerial implications, in the sense that when hiring employees on a part-time basis, having employees who are committed and offering employees QWL (i.e. excellent fringe benefits) will impact negatively on union membership. In terms of policymakers, the study revealed that developing remuneration policies that are pro-employee (i.e. offering excellent working conditions and fringe benefits) would make them satisfied, possibly be productive, and they would engage less in counterproductive industrial actions like strikes, which in South Africa are the amongst highest in the world.

For instance, Safaricom should continue recruiting highly qualified individuals, compensate the individuals highly, motivate the individuals highly and train them effectively. In addition, the Safaricom management should allow the HR function to operate flexibly such that the department is able to exercise all the available options relevant to carrying out human resource activities. Furthermore, the investment budget towards Safaricom HR function should be increased so as to enhance the strategic fit and the consequent superior organization performance. The study further recommended a causal study on the statistical relationship between investment in HR function and the performance of Safaricom using the balanced score card concept advocated by Kaplan and Norton

The study of the implementation of robotization in modern conditions of human resource management is becoming more and more relevant in our rapidly developing world. There are numerous discussions on the digitalization of the economy and humanity, large-scale and local trends in the use of advanced technologies and IT solutions by business entities are considered. The field of application of robots is rapidly expanding, and their actions are hidden for users, and in this sense HR-bots are "black boxes". Proceeding from this, scientists are faced with the task of thoroughly analyzing the structure, functions, etiquette and actions of robots on the efficiency of an economic entity. Researchers around the world are focusing on the transition to a human resource management model based on IT developments, opening up the ability to use big data for HR analysts. As for Russia, we can clearly see that new technologies are being introduced very progressively and the involvement of staff in the automation process within the organization is at a high level, but if we look much deeper, we will notice that in Russia automation is more focused on a separate business process rather than replacing the human unit with a robot. The purpose of this article is to study the development of robotization in modern conditions of human resource management, as well as to study the problems faced by business entities in connection with the implementation of robots in control practice.

Since its inception the Society for American Archaeology has been concerned about "encourag[ing] a rational public appreciation of the aims… of archaeological research," and aiding in the conservation of archaeological data. The Society has acted on these concerns by becoming involved in the development of legislation intending to regulate the management of the archaeological resource base. During the recent campaign to amend the National Historic Preservation Act, a statement of "Basic Principles of Archaeological Resource Management" was drafted and accepted by the SAA Executive Committee. This position paper was useful in developing new congressional guidelines for the National Historic Preservation Act Amendments of 1980 (P.L. 95-515), and will serve as a basis for evaluating future international, federal, state, and local legislation and management programs.
