Students' ignorance of the potential they have, especially the intelligence they have, is an obstacle for students to be able to improve their achievements in school. For that, it needs to be revealed multiple intelligence profiles, especially linguistic, interpersonal, and intrapersonal intelligence of students. This research is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study was a student of State Junior High School 5 Sungai Penuh that amounted to 145 people and the study sample was taken with the formula Slovin with random sampling cluster sampling technique so that the number of samples in this study amounted to 107 people. This research instrument uses the Multiple Intelligence Scale that researchers develop themselves, and then the data that has been collected is tabulated and analyzed with descriptive statistics to calculate respondents' scores using ideal scores. The results of this study revealed that students' multiple intelligence profiles related to linguistic intelligence were in the medium category, then the student's interpersonal intelligence was in a low category, and the student's intrapersonal intelligence was in the medium category

This study aims to (1) analyze Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share on mathematics learning achievement, (2) analyze the level of students 'reasoning towards mathematics learning achievement, and (3) determine the interaction of Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share and the level of students' reasoning on mathematics learning achievement. This type of research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. All grade VIII students of State Junior High School 1 Sambi were the population of this study. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, 31 experimental  and 32 control students, with a sampling technique using cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques using documentation, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the ANOVA technique. Two ways with different cells. The results of the study with a significance level of 5% are (1) there is a good effect using Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share on students 'mathematics learning achievement, (2) there is a good effect of reasoning on students' mathematics learning achievement, and (3) there is no interaction between Discovery Learning. Think Pair Share setting and students' reasoning. Therefore, it is concluded that mathematics learning achievement can be influenced by Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share and reasoning. Keywords: Discovery learning setting think pair share; mathematics learning outcomes; reasoning. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, (2) menganalisis tingkat penalaran siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika, dan (3) mengetahui interaksi Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share dan tingkat penalaran siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment. Seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sambi menjadi populasi penelitian ini. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas dengan 31 siswa eksperimen dan 32 siswa kontrol, dan pengambilan teknik sampling menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi, tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik ANAVA dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian dengan tingkat signifikansi 5% adalah (1) ada pengaruh baik menggunakan Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, (2) ada pengaruh baik penalaran terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, dan (3) tidak ada interaksi antara Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share dan penalaran siswa. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika dapat dipengaruhi oleh Discovery Learning Setting Think Pair Share dan penalaran. Kata Kunci: Discovery learning setting think pair share; penalaran; prestasi belajar matematika.

This study examines the prevalence and extent of Alcohol abuse among commercial tricycle operators in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. Adopting a descriptive quantitative research method, data was collected from 385 participants from 6424 registered tricycle operators in Calabar using a questionnaire. The participants were selected using the convenience and random sampling technique. Data collected from the field were subjected to descriptive statistics. Out of the 385 distributed instruments, 383 were returned and used for data analysis. From the analyzed data, the result revealed that all the participants, 100.00 per cent, have taken alcohol before. 81.46 per cent taken alcohol before while working, Majority of the tricycle drivers, 38.90 per cent believes that alcohol makes them have clearer vision when driving, 31.59 per cent argued that it makes them work longer, 10.97 per cent maintain that it is because they are used to alcohol. 12.27 per cent of the participants take alcohol at every opportunity they get, 18.02 per cent reported drinking every day. Result also revealed that all the tricycle riders have had accidents before, 77.81 per cent were under the influence of Alcohol when the accidents happened. Based on this result, the study concludes that there was a high prevalence of alcohol abuse among tricycle riders in Calabar. Hence there is a need for the enactment of proper laws that determines the legal limit of alcohol among drivers to checkmate the issue of driving under the influence and its attendant consequences.

Pendahuluan : Attention Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder (ADHD) adalah sebutan untuk gangguan perilaku dengan gejala-gejala : gangguan pemusatan perhatian dan konsentrasi, impulsivitas dan hiperaktifitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan keluarga tentang Attention Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder (ADHD) di PAUD Kecamatan Denpasar Utara. Metode : Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan satu variable dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu multistage random sampling, meliputi : teknik cluster sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 23 PAUD kemudian teknik kedua adalah stratified random sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 280 responden. Hasil : Hasil penelitian dari 280 responden didapatkan 128 orang (42,2%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang tentang ADHD, pada indikator konsep dasar 131 orang (46,5%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, pada indikator deteksi dini 116 orang (41,1%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang dan pada indikator penanganan 114 orang (40,7%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Diskusi : Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa tingkat pengetahuan keluarga tentang ADHD masih sangat kurang, diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat sebagai masukan bagi bidang kesehatan untuk meningkatkan upaya-upaya berupa health education bagi keluarga yang memiliki anak usia dini mengenai ADHD agar dampak negative dari perilaku ADHD dapat dideteksi dan ditangani lebih dini. Kata kunci : pengetahuan, keluarga, ADHD   ABSTRACT Introduction : Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a term for behavioral disorders with symptoms : attention and concentration disorders, impulsivity and hyperactivity. This study aims to determine the description of family knowledge level about Attention Deficit Hiperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in PAUD North Denpasar District. Methode : The design of this study used a descriptive quantitative research design with one variable and data collection using questionnaires. The sampling technique used is multistage random sampling, include: cluster sampling of obtained a sample of 23 early childhood then the second technique is stratified random sampling obtained a sample of 280 respondents. Results : The results of the 280 respondents obtained 128 votes (42.2%) have less knowledge about ADHD, the basic concept indicator 131 people (46.5%) had a good knowledge level, the early detection indicator 116 people (41.1%) have less knowledge level and on the handling indicator 114 people (40,7%) have less knowledge level. Discussion : The conclusion can be drawn that the level of knowledge of families who have young children about ADHD is still lacking, the expected results of this study can serve as input to the health sector in order to increase efforts in the form of health education for families who have early chilhood about ADHD so that expected negative impact of ADHD behavior can be detected and handled earlier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Purworejo dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari pengetahuan guru, sikap guru, dan kesiapan sarana prasarana. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif menggunakan model Concurrent Embedded Strategy. Metode primer penelitian adalah metode kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan survei, kemudian dilengkapi metode kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru matematika SMP kelas VII dan VIII di Kabupaten Purworejo. Sampel penelitian adalah 64 orang guru yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan 5 kriteria, yaitu Sangat Siap, Siap, Cukup, Kurang, dan Sangat Kurang. Analisis data kualitatif terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru matematika SMP di Kabupaten Purworejo dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013 ditinjau dari: kesiapan pengetahuan guru masuk kategori sangat kurang, sikap guru masuk kategori cukup, dan kesiapan sarana prasarana masuk kategori siap.Kata kunci: kesiapan guru, kesiapan pengetahuan, sikap guru, kesiapan sarana dan prasarana The Readiness of Junior High School Math Teachers in Purworejo for the Implementation of Curriculum 2013 AbstractThis research aimed to describe the readiness of junior high school math teachers in Purworejo for the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in terms of the teachers’ knowledge, the attitude of teachers, and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure. This study used mixed methods with models Concurrent Embedded Strategy. The study primary method was a quantitative research carried out by the survey, and  equipped with qualitative methods conducted through observation, interviews and documentation. The population was all the 7th and 8th grade  junior high school math teachers in Purworejo. The sample was 64 teachers established using the stratified random sampling technique. The quantitative descriptive data analysis used five criteria, namely: Very Ready, Ready, Fairly Ready, Poor, and Very Poor. While the analysis of qualitative data consists of data reduction, data display and conclusion.The results show that the readiness of junior high school math teacher in Purworejo for the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in terms of the readiness of the teacher's knowledge was in the very poor category, the attitude of teachers was in the fairly ready category, and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure was in the ready category.Keywords: readiness of teachers, knowledge readiness, teachers’ attitudes, readiness of facilities and infrastructure

<p><em>The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' ability in identifying ethnic, religious, racial and intergroup diversity in the frame of Unity in Diversity with an attitude of respect for ethnic, religious, racial and intergroup diversity in class VII students of Surakarta State Junior High School 4.</em></p><p><em>This research is quantitative research. The method used is descriptive correlational statistics. Subjects in this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Surakarta using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are test and questionnaire instruments. Validity test used uses the product moment formula. Reliability testing uses the Spearman Brown formula to test the X variable, and the Cronbach Alpha formula to test the Y variable. Data analysis uses a simple correlation technique.</em></p><p><em>The results in this study are that there is a positive and significant relationship between students' ability to identify ethnic, religious, racial and intergroup diversity in the frame of Unity in Diversity with an attitude of respect for ethnic, religious, racial and intergroup diversity. A positive relationship between variable X and variable Y is indicated by the value of r count = 0.889&gt; r table = 0.244. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of online games towards aggressiveness of junior high school students in Sidoarjo Regency. This research used a quantitative research through an explanatory approach. The sampling technique in this study was a random sampling of 100 students in the Krian District, Sidoarjo Regency. Analyzing data used linear regression. The results showed that the online games that is currently booming in Sidoarjo Regency were Game Action Adventure (78.2%), Game action "lostaga" (77.2%), FPS (first person shooter) "Cross Fire" (73, 4%). Aggressiveness that was the most often done by the respondent did not serve the conversation (75.4%) did not prevent others to hurt those who have hurt him (71.2%), and did not talk the person who has hurt him (69.2%). Based on research showed that, the study of online games did not affect to the aggressiveness of the child.

Premenopausal-aged women are susceptible to self-adjustment problems against changes experienced such as physical and psychological changes. Emotional intelligence plays an important role in addressing various issues, especially self-adjustment problems in premenopausal-aged women. This quantitative research with the correlational approach aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-adjustment in premenopausal-aged women in South Denpasar District.   The research samples are premenopausal-aged women in Sanur Village, South Denpasar District as many as 336 women using the one-stage cluster sampling technique. This study uses two scales of measurement namely the emotional intelligence scale and the self-adjustment scale. The emotional intelligence scale consists of 30 items with the reliability value = 0.974; and the self-adjustment scale consists of 29 items with the reliability value = 0.954. The data in this study show normal distribution with p = 0.111 for emotional intelligence and p = 0.224 for self-adjustment, and have a linear relationship (p = 0.000).   The technique for the analysis used by the researcher in this study is Pearson’s product moment correlation. The analysis shows that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and self-adjustment (p = 0.000, p <0.05). Emotional intelligence also has a direct and positive relationship with self-adjustment, in which the value of r = 0.913; there is no negative sign, and it can be said that emotional intelligence and self-adjustment have a very strong relationship (r = 0.913).   Keywords: emotional intelligence, self-adjustment

This study is aimed at (i) studying teacher effectiveness in relation to emotional intelligence and (ii) studying the correlation of teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence. To achieve the purpose, Teacher Effectiveness Scale by Kulsum (2000) and Emotional Intelligence Scale by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar (2001) were employed. A sample of 200 secondary school teachers was selected on the basis of random sampling technique. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. The t-value was applied. Results indicate a significant difference between teacher effectiveness among male and female & Govt. and Private secondary school teachers. Findings on the basis of one way analysis of variance reveal that the group of secondary school teachers with high emotional intelligence is more effective than the group of teachers with average or low emotional intelligence. There exists positive and significant relationship between teacher effectiveness and emotional intelligence among secondary school teachers.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan efikasi diri terhadap kepuasan kerja guru di SMP Yayasan Budi Mulia Lourdes Jakarta. Metodologi penelitian adalah survei yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis dan interpretasi data menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif langsung terhadap kepuasan kerja, (2) efikasi diri berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap kepuasan kerja, (3) kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif langsung terhadap efikasi diri.KATA KUNCI: efikasi diri, kepemimpinan transformasional, kepuasan kerja.  THE EFFECT OF TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND SELF EFFICACY OF THE JOB SATISFACTION TEACHERABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the effect of transformational leadership and self efficacy of the job satisfaction teacher in Junior High School of Budi Mulia Lourdes Jakarta.The research methodology was survey which was selected by simple random sampling technique. Analysis and interpretation of the data indicates that (1) transformational leadership of a positive direct effect on job satisfaction, (2) self efficacy positive direct effect on job satisfaction, (3) transformational leadership positive direct effect on the self efficacy.

This study aims to explain the condition of professionalism and efforts to improve the competence of teachers IPS in Jember District. Population in this research is teacher of IPS SMP Negeri in Jembersebanyak 184 teachers. The sampling technique was done by random sampling which amounted to 55responden. Methods of data collection with questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis uses a percentage descriptive. The result of the research shows that the competency of professionalism of IPS teachers is as follows: the acquisition of materials, concepts and scholarship of IPS teachers is 87.25% in the high category, the development of learning materials supported by IPS teachers creatively is 92.04% including in the high category; mastery of basic competence and basic competence by 87.05% including high category, utilization of communication technology for self-development of IPS teachers of 86.35% included in the high category. In general, the competency of professionalism of IPS teachers in Jember district is categorized as high, namely 88.17%, while the effort to increase the professional competence of IPS teachers as follows: joining the training and seminar of 66.81% low category; developing syllabus and IPS RPP of 70.50%; doing PTK 48.95% low category; develop science of technology in learning 74.82% high category. Overall, the effort to improve the professionalism competence of IPS Junior High School teachers in Jember District is 71.34 included in the high category.
