From the moment I first stepped in the door to our seminar room I was aware that I was a foreigner here. That was not just due to the fact that I had set out from my familiar Hannover on an Erasmus semester at University College Cork, but rather particularly due to the fact that in choosing the course Drama and Theatre of the 20th and 21st Century, I set foot in hitherto untested territory. As far as theatre and the performing arts were concerned, I was, in fact, a blank page. My stage experience was limited to playing Joseph in the Christmas nativity play, the canon of plays which I had read to those which were a part of the core curriculum in secondary school. I was a foreigner. The mental image of going up on stage made me feel uneasy and at moments when eyes were focused on me, I had the feeling that I could no longer properly control my body language. <p align="justify">With the development of the times, costume show has become a common art form. As the core of the fashion show, the fashion model not only shows the characteristics of the clothing itself, but also represents the fashion trend. There are also many categories of clothing models, depending on the style of clothing. As an art show, clothing models need to present the intrinsic qualities and perfect external image. Beautiful appearance is not enough just for models. If models don't have the right body language to show the unique temperament vividly, the clothing models will not have new attainments in clothing for the performing arts. In view of this situation, this paper fully discusses the necessity of the body language of the fashion model in the fashion show and the way of personalized emotion expression.</p>

The core curriculum for the third stage of education includes a provision that the aim of general education in a comprehensive high school and technical secondary school is, among others, to integrate the subject knowledge from various disciplines. The article presents the results of the analysis of a selected textbook for the first grade of a secondary school implementing the core curriculum from 2018. The main research questions are: How do the authors of the textbook implement the need to integrate the language, literary and text-building education, which is included in the core curriculum for secondary schools? Do the suggested methods of integration include functional grammar? The author refers to the core curriculum, the findings of linguists – researchers of language education at school and the selected textbook. The conducted analysis is a case study.

It has been ten years since the business studies subject was introduced into the Core Curriculum of post-secondary  schools in Poland. In 2005 and 2006 I was conducting research among students of the 2nd Upper Secondary School in Zabrze. The aim of this research was to learn about their views regarding the most important tasks of school resulting from the Core Curriculum of this subject; the most interesting information and skills acquired during the business studies and validity of introduction this subject into the post-secondary schools. Next, I will compare the results of these studies with the ones conducted this year among the present students of the 2nd Upper Secondary School, as well as with the opinions of this school’s graduates with whom I’m in contact through the social networking sites. Therefore it will be also possible to compare certain expectations of these young people with the reality of life outside the school environment.

‘The Final “Thank You”’ uses the work of Jacques Derrida and Friedrich Nietzsche to think the occasion of the 1995 rugby World Cup, hosted by the newly democratic South Africa. This paper deploys Nietzsche's Zarathustra to critique how a figure such as Nelson Mandela is understood as a ‘Superman’ or an ‘Overhuman’ in the moment of political transition. The philosophical focus of the paper, however, turns on the ‘thank yous’ exchanged by the white South African rugby captain, François Pienaar, and the black president at the event of the Springbok victory. It is the value, and the proximity and negation, of the ‘thank yous’ – the relation of one to the other – that constitutes the core of the article. 1

The present study was conducted to ascertain the environmental awareness across gender, locale, type of schools and academic stream among senior secondary school students. The sample of the study comprised of 300 11th class students studying in different government and non- government senior secondary schools of Sambhal district (U.P.) of Moradabad region. Environment Awareness Ability Measure (EAAM) by Praveen Kumar Jha (1998) was used to collect the data for the purpose. The data were analyzed using descriptive (Mean, Standard Deviations) and inferential (‘t’- test) statistics. The findings of the present study revealed that there is significant difference in environmental awareness of senior secondary school students across gender (boys and girls), type of schools (government and non-government) and academic stream (science and arts). However no significant difference is found in case of rural and urban sample. The reason for this result may be the rampant illiteracy in the district. Stakeholders should, therefore, ensure that the curriculum relating to environmental education is transacted as a core curriculum. Other activities related to environmental education viz., curricular, co- curricular and literary activities should also be organized to infuse environmental awareness among students.
