The purpose of the work is to identify the essential features of the foreign layer of the Chuvash book. The conclusions of the work are based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis of bibliographic indexes and a direct study of the books themselves de visu. The authors of the article consider foreign books as an important component of modern Chuvash culture, endowed with communicative, cognitive-cumulative, ethno-presentative and educational functions. Extraterritorial editions of the Chuvash book appeared in the first half of the 19th century, and only by the end of the 20th century they formed an independent layer. At the same time, one should objectively speak of two exteriorics – the Chuvash and by the poet G. Aygi. Each of them is represented by almost 150 publications. The predominant problematic of the foreign language layer of the Chuvash book proper is the Chuvash language. Moreover, its notable aspect is the publication of books in the Chuvash language or their publication with parallel texts in Sweden and Turkey. G. Aygi’s foreign publications are already represented by collections of poems in Russian, published by the publishing house of the artist N. Dronnikov in France. This work is a publication that should provide an introduction to the scientific use of literature that has not yet become the property of the Chuvash Studies. Its task is to promote the full functioning of modern Chuvash science in conjunction with the world one. The authors come to the conclusion that, in general, the foreign layer of the Chuvash book has an enduring value, and many of the scientific publications published in the past are rightly elevated to the rank of classical ones by the scientists.

This research is aimed to discuss the history and development of HT in Indonesia, the understanding on the HT’s concept of state, and kind of challenges of the HT movement. Using Piötr Stzompka’s theory of social movement, it seems that HT used  social movement by keeping on doing critics and showing the inadequacy of system of government, at the same time it offers khilafah Islamiyah concept as the alternative. The research uses a qualitative phenomenological method through the method of data collection found in books, articles and interviews in magazines and websites. The article uses the interpretative type of data analysis. The study shows that HT is one of Islamicmovements preserving a conservative ideology. The main agenda is bringing back Islam authority in the past and developing Islamic state led by a Khalifah through bai’at. The model of leadership in this ‘dream state’ is a sole leadership, while Islamic state is geographically an unlimited state. In other word, the khalifah is the leader of Islamic state for all around the world. This community has spread the ideology in many regions and has reached circles in different kinds of background and society. The purpose is to promote khilafah Islamiyah in the world. HT tends to reject secularism because they classify this concept as kufur that against the Islamic view.  From the beginning, HT has a clear and unchanged attitude to this case. This can be seen from its consistency using books from HT’s Amir that also be used in Indonesia.

The aim of this study is to investigate how the African novelists have domesticated the English language to suit their environments, experience and purpose. Specifically, the literary pieces – The Last of the Strong Ones (Strong Ones), House of Symbols (symbols), Children of the Eagle (Children) and the Trafficked of Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo were x-rayed. This exploration adopted the Hallidian Systemic Functional Linguistics, which highlights how language is used. The textual method of data analysis, the primary and secondary data collection methods were employed and the results showed that the African literary artists in general and the Igbo Nigerian novelists in particular have taken on a unique style of writing in the African vernacular style. For that reason, the speeches of the characters are laced with dignified local appositives, high profile Igbo songs and tales, studded local proverbs, lexical transfers, ritzy transliterations and so on; and these have given African rhythm to the English language. This notwithstanding, the aura, glamour and credibility of the English language as the medium of communication are retained.
