The green transition of farmland use is a future trend in China’s modern agriculture and green development. However, its research framework, including its evaluation system, temporal-spatial distribution, and driving mechanisms, has not been established in the existent literature. With the 17 cities in Hubei Province as an example, we evaluated the green transition of farmland use and explore the characteristics and driving mechanisms of the temporal and spatial evolution from 2000–2019. The findings were as follows: First, the green transition of farmland use in Hubei Province is in infancy, but it has great potential. Second, the growth rate of the green transition of farmland use has noticeable regional differences in the east, central, and western areas of the province. Third, the three dimensions of spatial transition, functional transition, and model transition in the green transition of farmland use have significant spatial differences in coupling and coordination, and decoupling is becoming increasingly prominent. Based on the research findings, we put forward targeted countermeasures and suggestions.

This research is addressed to the critical consciousness of English major MA supervisors, employing the approach of critical pedagogy. This research includes three dimensions of teachers’ beliefs about critical consciousness, corresponding behaviors in the class and reflections after the class. The methods and data were collected by face-to-face interviews and classroom observations from three English major MA supervisors. The research findings can be summarized as the following respects: Firstly, three English major MA supervisors all have a good command of critical pedagogy and critical consciousness. Secondly, two English major MA supervisors bring the awareness to the class topics in the real social life, and pay much attention to the sociopolitical themes. Thirdly, only one supervisor pays close attention to the communicating with students and encouraged discussions, while two supervisors mainly adopt the teaching process of teacher-centeredness. Finally, Three English major MA supervisors do reflect after the class and their reflections do not guide directly their next teachings. What’s more, their reflections are not their own behaviors, but their students’ learning behaviors.

Against the backdrop of responsible economic development, sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) is key to achieving the sustainable development for enterprise and industry. In this regard, sustainable supplier selection is crucial in SSCM. By integrating the three dimensions of sustainability, economic, environmental and social, this paper presents a new evaluation system for supplier selection from a sustainability perspective. Specifically, we design a decision mechanism for sustainable supplier selection based on linguistic 2-tuple grey correlation degree. In this proposed mechanism, the hybrid attribute values whereby real numbers, interval numbers and linguistic fuzzy variables coexist are transformed into linguistic 2-tuples. A ranking method based on linguistic 2-tuple grey correlation degree is then presented to rank the suppliers. An application example is presented to highlight the implementation, availability and feasibility of the proposed decision making mechanism.

Abstract Background and Aims Doctors are exposed to high levels of stress in their profession and are particularly susceptible to experiencing burnout. Rare disease researches are enlightening, with more workload to clinicians, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. We aim to explore the mental influence of participating in rare disease researches on clinicians. Method Doctors received electronic questionnaires regarding job-burnout in October 2020. The modified Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) was used to evaluate job burnout state. The MBI-GS consisting of three dimensions, emotional exhaustion (five questions), cynicism (five questions), and reduced personal accomplishment (six questions). The 7-grade Likert scale is adopted in each question, from 0 point (never) to 6 points (very frequently). Job burnout was considered if the average score of any dimension is no less than three.  Results Questionnaires from all 203 doctors were analysed in this study, with females (70.0%, n=140). Age ranging from 25 to 39, 40 to 54, and above 55 were 41.4%, 50.7%, 7.9%, respectively. Nearly half of the subjects (50.2%, n=102) fulfil the definition of job-burnout, which was fewer than that in the residency program (50.2% vs. 62.9%, p=0.02). An inappropriate evaluation system (36.0%) and lack of private time (35.5%) were the leading cause of job-burnout. The pressure of scientific researches (79.3%) and career promotion (58.1%) was the major source of mental pressure. Doctors who participated in rare disease researches (46.8%, n=95) did not show significant differences in burnout rate than individuals who did not (44.2% vs 55.6%, p=0.123), nor as in three dimensions (27.3% vs 36.1%, p=0.183 for emotional exhaustion, 21.1% vs 20.4%, p=0.905 for cynicism, 21.1% vs 27.8%, p=0.267 for reduced personal accomplishment). Logistic analysis revealed that high requirement from superior (22.5% vs 6.9%, p= 0.001), pressure from family (33.3% vs 17.8%, p=0.010), inappropriate job allocation (47.1% vs 29.7%, p= 0.019) as well as delayed off-work time (p=0.013) were independent risk factors of job-burnout. Physicians who participate in rare disease research had better job allocation (75.8% vs. 49.1%, p<0.001), but not in the other three risk factors.  Conclusion More workload did not increase the job-burnout of physicians participating in the rare disease research, which might be contributed by the appropriate job allocation.

This study is aimed at identifying the important university-industry linkages (UILs) activities that can be pivotal in developing self-perceived employability among Pakistani university students. It also examines the relationship between UILs and self-perceived employability. It seeks to answer the question, whether the dimensions of UILs plays any role in selfperceived employability among Pakistani university students? Design/Methodology/Approach: The instrument developed by Ishengoma, and Vaaland (2016) was used to identify the important UILs activities and selfperceived employability among students was measured through Rothwell, Herbert, & Rothwell (2008)’ scale. A sample of 285 university students who are enrolled in 11 federally chartered universities of Islamabad, Pakistan was surveyed via close ended questionnaire through emails and in person. Descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM were applied to tests the hypothesized relationship by using SmartPLS. Finding: The study results reveal that all three dimensions of UILs (1. collaborative training & educational activities, 2. collaborative consulting activities, 3. collaborative research activities) are positively related to self-perceived employability, and hence, supports all three hypotheses. The strong and significant regression results are indicative of this conjecture. The study also reflects the student internship programs and joint projects are most popular UILs activity in Pakistani universities. Implications: The research findings augment our understanding of UILs in Pakistan and how they relate to self-perceived employability. The study findings have implications for universities who are striving for better role in society and for industry, who want to be innovative in order to remain competitive. Lastly it has special implications for students who are about to enter in their professional lives and for policy makers to redefining the role of universities, industry and government to promote employability. Originality/value: This research adds values to existing literature on UILs, as most of previous UILs are descriptive and exploratory in nature. This is a unique explanatory study which relates UILs with employability, particularly in context of a developing country

The senior-care market has been on the rise in Taiwan, especially in rural areas. Soaring competition among senior-care operators has led to escalating consumer demands on performances, driving the industry to become more customer-oriented. The authors examined the relationship between service quality of senior care and customer satisfaction in rural Taiwan based on Parasuraman, Zeithmal and Berrys SERVQUAL ten dimensions (i.e., access, communication, competence, courtesy, credibility, reliability, responsiveness, security, tangibles and understanding the customer) and Lees food service. Multiple regression was conducted to test the relationships. The statistical results showed that access, courtesy and food service are significantly and positively related to customer satisfaction. This finding, among others, suggests that senior-care operators in rural Taiwan might have overlooked the above mentioned three dimensions as factors leading to customer satisfaction and, ultimately, to a sustainable competitive edge.

<p>In the 5G era, media convergence and technological updates lead to tremendous changes in the dissemination of public opinion information. The guidance of public opinion in the converged media environment is a new research topic. Users participate in the discussion of different media, and flow in and out from different media, which gradually generate a new complex dynamics model of the dissemination of public opinion information. An index system for evaluating the influence of converged media communication that combines the advantages of traditional media and new media is constructed. We use AHP to determine the index weights in the evaluation system and conduct consistency tests. The final weight of each media is determined through the combination of subjective and objective methods, which provides data supports for later determining the participation of various media in the dissemination process of public opinion information. Based on the SIR model, a UCIR (unknown-contact-infected-recovered) dynamic model is established. The simulation results show that the root mean square error (RMSE) of the UCIR model is 31.6% lower than that of the SIR model. Finally, by fixing the key parameters α, β, θ, ε, p, q in the UCIR model, and changing only one of them, we studied the effect of the transition probability between different states on the process of public opinion information transmission, and then proposed corresponding guidance. In addition, from the two perspectives of network media and government, the countermeasures and suggestions for the guidance of public opinion are proposed. We try to solve the problems of humanities and social sciences with the method of natural science. These research results can provide theoretical and methodological support for people to understand the law of public opinion information transmission and establish a guiding mechanism for public opinion information transmission.</p>
