We use Moodle at the University of Debrecen, Business- and Agricultural Department since January 2007. Moodle is an open source Learning Management System.Learning Management System (or LMS) is a software package that enables the management and delivery of learning content and resources to students. Most LMS systems are web-based to facilitate "anytime, anywhere" access to learning content and administration. LMS tracks student progress in a course and indicates completions. At the least, learning management systems track individual student progress, record scores of quizzes and tests within an online learning program, and track course completions.Moodle has more and more function at our Department in education. At present, we work to introduce Moodle in our Faculty. Therefore, we took lessons for the tutors about the usage of the Moodle. Our aim to develop such a learning system, which is an integral part of educational process.

Mobile learning (m-learning) introduces the idea of learning from virtually anywhere, regardless of the in-motion learner. This paper presents the development and impact of m-learning system capable to deliver personalized contents to the learner, called Content-independent Versatile Ubiquitous System (CiVUS). This solution promotes communication between learners and their teachers by encouraging learners to share self-made multimedia contents. Enabling interactivity makes mobile devices suitable for the development of collaborative activities amongst engineering students. CiVUS intends to offer support for engineering subjects study. It can be used inside or outside classrooms by learners and teachers, due to the mobility of these devices, at the time they find more suitable. The system has been validated and evaluated through a real usage. The study group collected answers from 10 teachers and 87 engineering students of the University of Beira Interior, Portugal and the University of Valladolid, Spain. The results demonstrate that the majority of the inquired people totally agree (all items over 72% for professors and 74% for students).

As text sources are getting broader, measuring text similarity is becoming more compelling. Automatic text classification, search engines and auto answering systems are samples of applications that rely on text similarity. Learning management systems (LMS) are becoming more important since electronic media is getting more publicly available. As LMS continuously needs content enrichment and the web is getting richer, automatic collection of learning materials becomes an innovative idea. Intelligent agents can be used with a similarity measurement method to implement the automatic collection process. This paper presents a new method for measuring text similarity using the well-known WordNet Ontology. The proposed method assumes that a text is similar to another if it represents a more specific semantic. This is more suitable for LMS content enrichment as learning content can usually be expanded by a more specific one. This paper shows how the hierarchy of WordNet can be taken advantage of to determine the importance of a word. It is also shown how similarity method within an e-learning system is exploited to achieve two goals. The first one is the enrichment of the e-learning content, and the second is the detection of semantically similar questions in e-learning questions banks.

This paper analyzes the world sources and considers the evolution of the e-learning system in the world, which are necessary for the formation of the e-learning system of the educational institution. The object of research is modern information pedagogical technologies that change the educational process. Subject of research – various educational technologies (distance, mixed, mobile, micro-) learning that influence the effectiveness of the educational process. The purpose is to identify the main elements that create the global e-learning system and to define the structure of the system for use in educational institutions. It is shown that in the first stage distance courses played the role of delivery of educational materials to the student. The development of web 2.0 technology and the advent of LMS have changed the way we learn. Pedagogical theories, the pedagogical instructional model ADDIE, and the use of Bloom's taxonomy allowed for student collaboration and active communication. The distance learning course is focused on achieving and measuring learning outcomes. In the third stage, all components of the world eLearning system are present: methodical, informational, technological, software and technical, personnel, regulatory, planning and development, monitoring and control. The components of the subsystems are variable in nature. Such a system is the basis for the strategy and tactics of the development of the e-learning system in the educational organization and its structural units. The most important is the planning and development subsystem, which defines the ways of development of the educational organization, the strategy and tactics of development of the e-learning system of the university, the required staff potential and the system of professional development of teachers. For its effective work it is necessary to have trained content curators who follow the most influential content curators of the world. Members of this team provide certification for distance courses in accordance with the organization standard. National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" conducts systematic work in this area, conducts open distance courses for developers, tutors, content curators and experts for teachers of educational institutions of Ukraine. Developed distance courses that measure the competence of trained professionals ensure high efficiency of dual learning. More than 2,100 teachers of educational establishments of Ukraine have enrolled in the open distance courses, more than 320 teachers have successfully completed the courses.

This article investigates the support e-learning can provide for the management and marking of assignments. The work is contextualised in the importance of assessment with assignments in tertiary education, in the theories about high quality marking of assignments, and the practical experiences of academics at tertiary institutions. The tasks that need to be carried out as part of assignment management and marking are detailed. A set of requirements is derived based on the education literature and on practical needs established in interviews with academics. Possible architectures for an e-learning system implementing these requirements are suggested and arguments are provided towards using an architecture that combines existing learning management system functionality for assignments with a specialised assignment management and marking application. A specific implementation based on Moodleand Lightwork is introduced. The article concludes with thoughts on the cognitive fit of learning management systems for assignment marking tasks and their core roles in supporting teaching and learning.

The field mastery of technology, especially in the field of Information and Communication Technology, is one of the obligations for teachers to improve their competence. But at this time the teachers are still applying the conventional teaching model, for example when the teacher stands in front of the class then explains about the subject. This is good for students who pay attention what the material explained by teacher, but if there is the student who can not attend that class they will be missed the lesson. One of some ways to overcome this problem needs for an additional mechanism as an additional learning media as teacher assistants, especially for vocational teachers in SMK Masmur Pekanbaru. The additional learning media is a Learning Management System (LMS) based learning. LMS is a form of web-based computer software, by uploading it to the internet, the e-learning system will be accessible anywhere and anytime. This training is based on LMS where the teachers will use the Edmodo application. By using Edmodo, the teachers have more rights to regulate who can join the group that is created, can control the activities of their students, and can directly assess the tasks. It is expected that LMS-based learning with Edmodo application to be able to improve teachers professionalism and make the learning process in the classroom more efficient than before

Traditional e-Learning system displays the same content to all the learners irrespective of their knowledge level and relevance. This paper enumerates insight into the learner‟s perspective and expectation on medium of study such as regional language verses English language at education institute in fathoming the core subject or e-content provided to them in English and proposes a design for developing an adaptive e-Learning system personalized to the learner. To investigate into the learner‟s individual desire the best cutting edge practice of applying statistical tools along with a plausible framework is being adapted. The results implied that the medium of instruction (Regional language / English) at school has greater impact on the performance compared to the region (Rural / Urban) the students hailed from, when the same content is given to them in English using traditional e- Learning. However, often there exists a widespread difference among regional language as a medium of learning in rural area and English as a medium of learning in urban area. Therefore, this study intend to develop e-learning content based on individual student capability to understand using systematic decision making and customized rules. The social implication of this study reveals that adaptive elearning based on individual personal capacity and customized e-learning content has been successfully implemented and effectively established a balanced trade-off between regional language as a medium students and English as a medium of learning student‟s knowledge and performance.

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the learning system into an online mode, where students' anxiety became the spotlight for educators to create a learning environment that actively engages them. Many educators are competing in maximizing the use of technology to ensure students are engaged in the learning process. The study aims to explore students’ perception of math anxiety through the implementation of Screencast-O-Matic in calculus learning. This study involves 41 students at the university level and is conducted in mixed methods, using statistics and narrative descriptives. Questionnaires and open-ended questions are used to investigate students’ testimonies about the video made by Screencast-O-Matic and their perceptions of math anxiety after learning with the video given. The results showed that the implementation of Screencast-O-Matic video gradually reduces students’ mathematics anxiety during online calculus learning. Screencast-O-Matic offers educators the opportunity to build a web-based lecture learning system in audio-visual media to minimize students' anxiety levels. Furthermore, the most important things to consider while creating an educational video are clarity of message, user-friendliness, good visualization, and easy access to students anytime and anywhere.
