La investigación sobre el enfoque basado en la autoconstrucción de materiales en educación física ha mostrado efectos positivos en las dimensiones psicológica, social y educativa de los estudiantes. Como refuerzo en su implementación se experimentó una estrategia de enseñanza consistente en el diseño, elaboración y presentación de vídeo-tutoriales entre futuros docentes. Los objetivos fueron analizar la percepción de los estudiantes del grado de Maestro en Educación Primaria acerca de esta experiencia, estudiar sus creencias y actitudes hacia la estrategia de enseñanza como futuros docentes, y comprobar posibles diferencias de género. Participaron 120 (70 varones y 50 mujeres) estudiantes de la mención de Educación Física. Las edades oscilaban entre los 19 y 40 años de edad (N = 21.87; DT= 2.39). Se realizó un diseño pre-experimental con medidas post-tratamiento. Se elaboró un cuestionario ad hoc de 39 ítems compuesto por dos escalas: Escala de valoración de la elaboración de vídeo-tutoriales sobre material autoconstruido, y Escala de creencias y actitudes del uso del vídeo-tutorial como estrategia de enseñanza. La experiencia resultó muy positiva para los participantes. Tanto el proceso como el producto resultaron muy satisfactorios, mejorando su aprendizaje, fomentando su creatividad e implicación personal, y desarrollando competencias docentes. En cuanto a la segunda escala, los participantes informaron de que esta estrategia ofrece enormes ventajas para la práctica docente, incentiva la participación, la inclusión y el aprendizaje cooperativo, supone un gran apoyo para el docente, y puede fomentar una educación en valores, coeducativa y ambiental. Se discute la relevancia de estos resultados en la formación de profesorado.Abstract. Research on the approach based on the self-made materials in physical education has shown positive effects in the psychological, social and educational dimensions of the students. As an aid in its implementation, a teaching strategy was experimented consisting in the design, elaboration and presentation of video-tutorials among prospective primary education teachers. The objectives were to analyze the perception of the students about this experience, to study their beliefs and attitudes towards this teaching strategy as future teachers, and to check possible differences according to gender. 120 (70 men and 50 women) students enrolled in year-3 of the Bachelor of Arts (Physical Education) participated. The ages ranged between 19 and 40 years of age (N = 21.87, SD = 2.39). A pre-experimental design with post-treatment measures was carried out. An ad hoc questionnaire of 39 items was elaborated, composed of two scales: Scale of Assessment of the Elaboration of Video-tutorials on Self-made Material, and Scale of Beliefs and Attitudes of the use of the Video-tutorial as a teaching strategy. The experience was very positive for participants. Both the process and the product were very satisfactory, improving their learning, encouraging their creativity and personal involvement, and developing teaching skills. Regarding the second scale, the participants reported that this strategy offers enormous advantages for the teaching practice, encourages participation, inclusion and cooperative learning, supposes a great support for teachers, and can promote an education in values, co-educational and environmental. The relevance of these results in teacher training is discussed.

Many studies have made claims for the positive effects of multimedia in education; however, there is a lack of systematic and comparable research, especially when it comes to video tutorials. This study evaluates the use and benefits of short screencast video tutorials, produced with Camtasia and published on YouTube, in preparing students for research-based writing assignments. The study employs a multi-method research design, comprising an analysis of video-tutorial viewership data from YouTube and a student questionnaire on the perceived benefits of these video tutorials. The data on how the tutorials are used, as well as the questionnaire responses, enable us to highlight which aspects of these tutorials positively affect the learning process, and importantly, how such tutorials should be adapted to be more useful. Findings indicate that the use of such tutorials is more dependent on the type of information included (e.g., theory, instructions or examples), than their length (within the range of three to six minutes). Additionally, novice, introductory-level students appear to have received greater benefit from the tutorials than students with some previous academic writing experience.

The current social, health, and educational changes in society require an adequate response in school-based physical activity (PA), including physical education (PE) lessons. The objective of this study was to identify the real average step counts of Czech and Polish adolescents during PE lessons, and propose recommendations for improving PE programs. This research was carried out in 143 Czech and 99 Polish schools. In the research, a total of 4911 adolescents aged 12–18 years were analyzed as part of teaching practice and 1827 in the context of habitual school practice. Steps were monitored using pedometers. The average step count per PE lesson was 2390 in Czech and Polish boys, while girls achieved 1851 steps. In both countries, boys were subject to greater physical strain in PE lessons compared to girls, both in teaching practice (F(4088,3) = 154.49, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.102) and school practice (F(1552,3) = 70.66, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.103). Therefore, the priority in PE lessons is to increase the amount of PA for girls, achieve the objectives of PE during PA, and use wearables to improve awareness of PA and improve physical literacy, as well as to support hybrid and online PE as a complement to traditional PE.

With the fast development of computer and internet technology, how to apply computer and internet technology into intercultural teaching to improve learners' intercultural competence aroused great interest in foreign language researchers and teachers. This essay tries to analyze the effects of CMIC on the intercultural competence of learners through the CMIC teaching practice between two universities from China and US. Based on the analysis of the questionnaire, students' reflective logs, and interviews, this essay concludes that the application of CMIC in intercultural teaching has positive effects on the improvement of learners' intercultural competence and that CMIC should be more widely applied into intercultural teaching.

El objetivo de la investigación es mostrar cómo se representan las personas con discapacidad en las imágenes de los libros de texto de Educación Física en la etapa de Educación Primaria. El estudio es de tipo empírico, descriptivo y comparativo entre los libros de texto analizados. La muestra recogió 3836 imágenes de libros de texto publicados en España entre los años 2006 y 2013, bajo la Ley Orgánica de Educación (LOE). La técnica de investigación fue el análisis de contenido a través de un sistema de categorías elaborado ad hoc, previa validación y fiabilidad mediante una prueba piloto, una consulta a expertos/as y una prueba intercodificadores. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó el software SPSS 19.0. Se realizó un análisis univariante y bivariante con la prueba Kolmogorov-Smirnov, la prueba de Levene y el test Ji-Cuadrado de Pearson con un nivel de significación del 5%. Los resultados mostraron que las personas con discapacidad son prácticamente excluidas en dichas imágenes, siendo casi invisible la mujer con discapacidad. A su vez, la persona con discapacidad es de raza blanca, entre niña y joven y con una discapacidad física, principalmente representada en silla de ruedas. La actividad física que aparece en este colectivo se asocia a la práctica deportiva, en un ámbito competitivo y de máximo nivel. Estos resultados están muy alejados de la inclusión de la discapacidad en la sociedad actual y concretamente, en los libros de texto de Educación Física en Primaria, del sistema educativo español.  Abstract. The objective of this research is to show how people with disabilities are represented in Physical Education textbooks in use in Primary Education. The study design is empirical, descriptive, and focuses on comparing between the analyzed textbooks. A sample of 3,836 images were collected from textbooks published in Spain between 2006 and 2013, under the Organic Law of Education (LOE). A research technique based on content analysis was employed through a tailor-made system of categories, which was previously tested for validity and reliability in a pilot study, by consulting experts, as well as by intercoder agreement test. The statistical analysis of data was performed using the software SPSS 19.0. Univariate and bivariate analysis with Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Levene test and Pearson Chi-Square test were performed, setting the significance level at 5%. Results showed that people with disabilities are mostly excluded in these images, especially impaired women. Disabled people are represented as Caucasian, either children or youth with a physical disability, mostly using wheelchair. Physical activity appearing in this group is associated with sports at a competitive and maximum level. These results are far from the inclusion of disability in today's society and specifically in textbooks of Physical Education in Primary Education within the Spanish educational system.

The quality of education is really determined by various factors, but the most dominant and important is a teacher's professionalism. Almost all effort on curriculum reform and teaching method implementation, is depends on the teachers ultimately. Any teachers lack of ability of the teaching material, teaching strategy, motivate the students to achieve high perpformance, will not improve the quality of education. The teacher acts as one crucial component in educational system. Therefore, since at the very the beginning, the ability of micro teaching practice at a college should be prepared well in order to be a professional teacher in the future. In the modern education system, teacher candidates are required to have professional skills that include the ability to plan learning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. Without mastering all these aspects, the teacher will not be able to achieve the learning objectives optimally.

The objectives of the prepared article are to give the readers a brief account of the main ideas and foundations stones of a relatively new theory of motor learning, OPTIMAL, formulated by Gabriele Wulf and Rebecca Lewthwait, and also to point out the possibility of its application in school physical education lessons, particularly in teaching sports games. The authors critically assess “traditional” teaching of new locomotor skills stressing the frequent neglect of the internal motivation of pupils and support for their autonomy. According to them, in traditional teaching practice, internal focus of attention is imposed on the pupils, i.e. concentration on the movements of the body or its parts. They claim that the result of such an approach is learning that is not sufficiently effective. On the contrary, they recommend that the teachers should consciously raise the pupils’ expectations, support the need for autonomy by their more active involvement in the teaching process and focus their attention externally, towards the goals of the task. It seems that the practical application of the OPTIMAL theory in school physical education lessons is feasible. It is, above, all the support for autonomy that follows the current trends. However, we expect high demands set on the organization of the teaching process and on the teachers themselves. Future testing in the school practice is necessary. The TGFU (Teaching Games for Understanding) didactic paradigm has been successfully used in teaching sports games for a number of years. Due to the similarity of some principles of the OPTIMAL theory and this paradigm, it is apparent that the new theory of motor learning could be successful, too, particularly in teaching the fundamentals of game skills in sports games. This assumption, however, should also become a subject of testing in the future.
