The telecommunication is one of the modes of communication, in which most investments are made. It consists of internet, mobile phones, wired and wireless fixed phones, fax, televisions, radio and some other. Among them, demand for internet and cellular phones rapidly increases. For a smooth function of this business, knowledge on demand is much important. Effective forecasts help a business to manage its supply efficiently. This study aimed to find out an accurate mechanism for prediction of demand for internet conections and cellualr phone collections.Based on the secondary data available in central bank reports from 1996 to 2016, several statistical forecasting models were evaluated for an accurate prediction. There can be seen an increasing demand for both internet and cellular phone connections. Number of internet connections has gone up from 4 110 to 4 921 000, while the usage of cellular phones has developed from 71 228 to 26 228 000 during this period. Rapid growth in internet usage has happened after 2009, while after year 2003, usage of cellular phone has increased rapidly. With compared to models fitted for original form of data, models for log transformed data show better performances. The best performance in prediction of internet connection was given by ARIMA (1,1,1) model fitted for log transformed data, meanwhile ARIMA (0,1,2) model fitted for log transformed data showed the best fit for series of cellular connections. Double exponential smoothing models also show better fit for both series.

The study  was aimed to Know   growth and forecast the amount of demand for agricultural sector credit at PT. BRI (Persero) Unit Kepahiang I, and (2) examine factors influencing for agricultural sector credit. Data  was secondary data from 1993  up to 2003. Ratio  to Moving Average Method, Double Exponential Smoothing with moved period 3 monthly and regression function of Non Doubled Linear were used. Results of research indicates that growth of demand for agricultural credit at PT. SRI (Persero) Unit Kepahiang I tend to fluctuate. Forecasting of demand for agricultural sector creditb to period quarterly at 2003 till 2004, tend   to have experience decreasing significantly compare to previous period. Overall of factors influencing demand of agricultural sector is rate of interest level (X1), price level (X2), and agriculture product exchange rate (X3), while earning level (X4) does not have an effect on demand Key Words: BRI, Forecasting, demand for credits,agricultura/s , sectors

The paper proposes a simple hybrid model to forecast the electrical load data based on the wavelet transform technique and double exponential smoothing. The historical noisy load series data is decomposed into deterministic and fluctuation components using suitable wavelet coefficient thresholds and wavelet reconstruction method. The variation characteristics of the resulting series are analyzed to arrive at reasonable thresholds that yield good denoising results. The constitutive series are then forecasted using appropriate exponential adaptive smoothing models. A case study performed on California energy market data demonstrates that the proposed method can offer high forecasting precision for very short-term forecasts, considering a time horizon of two weeks.

Purpose: Knowing the best alpha value from the data for each type of drug with various alpha parameters in the Double Exponential Smoothing Method and knowing the prediction results on each type of drug data at the Condong Catur Hospital pharmacy.Design/methodology/approach: Applying the Double Exponential Smoothing method with alpha parameters 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.4; 0.5; 0.6; 0.7; 0.8; 0.9Findings/result: The test results on a system built using test data show that the double exponential smoothing method provides accuracy below 20% by producing a different Alpha (α) for each type of drug because the trend patterns in each drug sale are different at the Pharmacy at the Condong Catur Hospital. .Originality/value/state of the art: Based on previous research, this study has similar characteristics such as themes, parameters and methods used. Previous researchers used smoothing methods such as Double Exponential Smoothing in predicting stock / sales of goods

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to gain insights and explicate how blockchain technology enables trust and traceability building from a real business use case. Design/methodology/approach The authors conducted a qualitative case study of a leading global French grocery retail firm that has started to integrate blockchain into their supply chain and products. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and secondary data sources. Findings This paper developed a conceptual framework in unboxing the mechanism by which blockchain enables trust and explicating how information flows in a blockchain-based system compared to a traditional one in a real business application scenario through three main elements, namely, system architecture, data recovery and communication. Originality/value Given the upside potential of emerging technologies such as blockchain coupled with the current increasing demand for business use cases, the paper is timely in integrating the business and technological aspects of trust in formulating a firm-level blockchain strategy.

Purpose: In the Indian food processing sector, the cashew nut processing industry plays a critical role. Often, the cashew is considered as ‘both a poor person’s crop and a rich person’s meal.’ From the cultivators, traders, wholesalers, processors to supermarkets and retailers, the cashew processing sector is a vital source of income. Cashew processing is a labour-intensive sector that has always employed a significant number of rural women. The purpose of this study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the Cashew Processing Sector, its position in the world market, issues it is confronting and future prospects. While doing so, the present study attempts to examine the profile of the Indian Cashew Industry, including cashew processing and international trade. The quality, flavour and appearance of the Indian cashew kernels are highly respected in other nations and are consumed in more than 60 countries worldwide. Unfortunately, it was found that cashew production in India has been fluctuating in recent years. Despite its tremendous expansion, India’s cashew sector has been affected by low-quality cashew cultivated in some regions, which is mostly due to improper harvesting techniques, inadequate drying of the nuts and insufficient storage and warehouse facilities for dried cashew nuts. Design: For the purpose of analysis, this study used secondary data sources - Google Scholar articles, cashew industry and other related websites. Moreover, the literature is used to analyse the position of the industry within SWOC and PESTLE framework analysis. Findings: Based on the analysis, the cashew business needs certain incentives to attain a better rate of production and export growth in the future. Value: This paper emphases on the growth of the cashew industry in India in relation to its current status and future opportunities. Based on findings and their interpretation, the Indian Cashew Industry must prepare itself for the ever-increasing demand of the domestic market and contribute more effectively to the country’s economic growth. Abstract: This research do with aim for forecast sales brands Samsung mobile products in counter Samsung Q Mall Banjarbaru for three montht front. Data type used is secondary data from date of sales os Samsung brand mobile phone. Data analysis techniques used is using method Double Exponential Smoothing with alpha 0,1 ; 0,3 ; 0,5 and 0,7. Based on the result reseach that has do then could explained that alpha 0,1 produces Mean Absolute Error of 39.477.372,73 ; alpha 0.3 produces Mean Absolute Error of 34,280,518.18 ; alpha 0.5 produces Mean Absolute Error of 22,722,636.36 ; and alpha 0.7 produces Mean Absolute Error of 74,937,330.82. With calculation forecasting the best for sales brands Samsung Mobile [roducts in counter Samsung Q Mall Banjarbaru for three month to front is with using alpha 0,5 , this proven from the result forecasting the error smallest that is amounting to 22.722.636,36 compared with use alpha 0,1 ; 0,3 and 0,7.With knew forecasting sales for 3 months forward expected can tobe reference for company for estimate profit and make Policy company for future period. Keywords: forecasting, sales, Samsung, Q Mall Banjarbaru Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meramalkan (Memforecast) penjualan produk Handphone Merk Samsung Di Counter Samsung Q Mall Banjarbaru selama tiga bulan ke depan.  Jenis Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang berasal dari data penjualan Handphone Merk Samsung.  Teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu,  menggunakan metode Doubel Exponential Smoothing dengan alpha 0,1;  0,3;  0,5; dan 0,7.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat dijelaskan bahwa:  alpha 0,1 menghasilkan Mean Absolute Error sebesar 39.477.372,73;  alpha 0,3 menghasilkan Mean Absolute Error sebesar 34.280.518,18;  alpha 0,5 menghasilkan Mean Absolute Error sebesar 22.722.636,36; dan alpha 0,7 menghasilkan Mean Absolute Error sebesar 74.937.330,82. Dengan demikian perhitungan peramalan (Forecast) yang terbaik untuk penjualan produk Handphone Merk Samsung Di Counter Samsung Q Mall Banjarbaru selama tiga bulan ke depan adalah dengan menggunakan alpha 0,5, hal ini terbukti dari hasil peramalan (Forecast) Errornya terkecil yaitu sebesar 22.722.636,36 dibandingkan dengan menggunakan alpha 0,1;  0,3  dan 0,7. Dengan diketahuinya peramalan penjualan utk 3 bulan kedepan diharapkan bisa menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan untuk memperkirakan keuntungan dan membuat kebijakan perusahaan untuk periode yang akan datang. Kata kunci : Peramalan, Penjualan, Samsung, Q Mall Banjarbaru

The technological revolution 4.0 brings great opportunities, but also cybercrimes to economic sectors, especially to banks. Using secondary data and survey results of 305 bank clients, the main findings of this paper are: (i) there are several types of cybercrimes in the banking sector; (ii) Vietnam is one of the top countries worldwide having hackers and being attacked by hackers, especially the banking sector. Three most common attacks are skimming, hacking and phishing. Number of cybercrime attacks in Vietnam are increasing rapidly over years; (iii) Vietnamese customers are very vulnerable to cybercrime in banking, as more than 58% seem to hear about cybercrimes, and how banks provide services to let them know about their transactions. However, more than 50% do not have any deep knowledge or any measures for preventing cybercrime; (iii) Customers believe in banks, but do not think that banks can deal with cybercrime issues well. They still feel traditional transactions are more secure than e-transactions; (iv) the reasons for high cybercrimes come from commercial banks (low management and human capacity), supporting environment (inadequate), legal framework (not yet strong and strict enough on cybercrimes), and clients (low level of financial literacy). Therefore, several solutions should be carried out, from all stakeholders, for improving the cybersecurity in Vietnamese banks.

The purpose of this study was to decide the elements of performance at PT. General Takaful Insurance, to find out how to measure performance using the scorecard approach that is by measuring process performance and results performance, and interpreting in the form of conclusions. In this study, researchers tested apply maslahah at PT. General Takaful Insurance with a case study design. This research is a type of quantitative and qualitative research because it uses measurement data through formulas and if interpretative qualitative, and the data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that PT. General Takaful Insurance received a value of the performance benefit process of 0.7 which indicates that the company simply applied benefits in terms of process performance. And behave the benefit of PT. General Takaful Insurance got a value of 0.89 which shows that the company is quite good in providing benefits to stakeholders and shareholders. This paper will examine the impact of PR electoral systems in a divided society. This research will explore the strength and weakness of the current electoral system and institutional design of Sri Lanka and will recommend changes to decrease the risk of minority exclusion in decision making and ethnic violence. The objectives of this research are to examine the character of the merits and demerits of the PR, and to investigate and assess the impacts of the PR in the multi ethnic societies of Sri Lanka. The study is a qualitative case study, and primary and secondary data sources have been employed to gather relevant data. The My Fieldwork was conducted in Sri Lanka, with the intention of gaining a better and more thorough understanding of the current situation. The interviews conducted were as such not structured or semi-structured, due to the interviewees’ varying professional background and institutional affiliation. Accordingly, unstructured interviews, as well as informal conversations and meetings, were conducted throughout Sri Lanka.
