The article is devoted to the analysis of representations about AustriaHungary in Russia in political and publicists societies including Bolsheviks, Social Democrats, liberals (cadets), as well as MFA analysts from February to October. On the basis of the materials on foreign policy and the correlation of revolution and world war, from Russian daily press and journalists, which have not been studied before, the author comes to the conclusion that the representatives of the left flank of the political spectrum had neither information nor conceptually built ideas about the situation in AustriaHungary, about the perspectives for the development of revolutionary processes in the multinational state and its direction and aims. On the other hand, this was also largely characteristic of the moods of the AustroHungarian politicians, whether progovernment or opposition,Статья посвящена анализу представлений об АвстроВенгрии в России в политических и публицистических обществахв том числе большевиков, социалдемократов, либералов (кадетов), а также аналитиков МИД с февраля по октябрь.

Abstract Our study was conducted by consulting angioCT sites made on a CT GE LightSpeed VCT64 Slice CT and a CT GE LightSpeed 16 Slice CT, following the path and relationships of the descending thoracic aorta against the vertebral column, outside diameters thereof at the thoracic vertebrae T4, T7, T12 and posterior intercostal arteries characteristics. The origin of of the descending thoracic aorta we found most commonly on the left flank of the lower edge of the vertebral body T4, but I have encountered cases where it had come above the lower edge of T4 on level of intervertebral disc T4-T5 or even at the upper edge of T5 vertebral body. At thoracic vertebra T4, on a total of 30 cases, the descending thoracic aorta present a diameter of 20.0 to 32.6 mm, values that correspond to male gender and to females diameter ranging from 25.5 to 27, 4 mm. At level of T7 thoracic vertebra, thoracic aorta present a diameter of 19.6 to 29.5 mm, values found in men, in women the diameter being from 21.9 to 25.2 mm. At thoracic vertebra T12, on a total of 27 cases, the descending thoracic aorta present a diameter of 17.6 to 27.7 mm, in males the diameter was from 17.6 to 27.7 mm and females diameter ranging from 21.1 to 25.2. The length of the descending thoracic aorta was from 18.40 to 19.41 cm.

Cysts arising from spleen are a rare clinical entity, with their discovery usually being incidental. We present a case of the largest reported primary epithelial cyst of spleen. In present study a 16-year-old child presented with abdominal distension for 1 month associated with abdominal pain for 2 weeks. On examination, a mass was felt in the epigastrium, left hypochondrium and left flank, extending across from the right midclavicular line to the left midaxillary line, and extended inferiorly till 6cm caudal to umbilicus. CT abdomen revealed a unilocular cyst of 17x20x24cm arising from the spleen with a volume of 3700ml. Splenectomy was performed; intra-operatively there was a huge splenic cyst measuring 30x30x30cm. Histopathological examination was diagnostic of Primary congenital epithelial cyst of the spleen. Till date the largest congenital splenic cyst documented in literature is 20 cm × 13 cm × 21 cm, as reported by Valentina et al, in 2014. Present specimen bests this previous case considerably.

Dermatologists and pediatricians are often consulted by parents and other health professionals about the prognosis, management, and aesthetic effect of congenital nevi. In this paper we review the literature and report two new cases of a recently described and possibly underdiagnosed form of congenital lesion, the pilar and smooth muscle nevus. CASE REPORTS Case 1 A 6-month-old girl was evaluated for a skin lesion present since birth on her left flank. At the time of examination, it consisted of a well-defined brownish blue, lightly pigmented, barely visible macule with coarse blond hair, 6 x 7 cm (Fig 1). Upon stroking, slight, transient erection of the hair was appreciated.

A 38 years female presented with left flank pain, nausea, and vomiting. Ultrasound and Noncontrast CT scan were suggestive of left hydronephrosis with left Vesicoureteral stone (Figure 1). Conservative medical treatment previously was not successful. Blood investigations were Hb 11.5 gm%, TLC 11500/mm3 , urea 22, creatinine 0.6, urine was full of RBCs. She was taken to the operation theatre for emergency double j stenting. Cystoscopy showed impacted left vesicoureteral stone (Figure 2,3).

When Hood replaced Johnston on July 18, the Army of Tennessee launched three tactical offensives in an attempt to prevent Sherman from snipping the rail lines feeding Atlanta. Temporary field fortifications played an important role in all three engagements. At Peach Tree Creek, on July 20, the Confederates took the Army of the Cumberland by surprise as it was crossing the stream but hasty breastworks shielded most Federal units as they repelled the attack. At the battle of Atlanta, on July 22, the Confederates very nearly crushed Sherman’s left flank but 17th Corps troops were able to hold on because they fought from both sides of their earthworks as needed to repel attacks from different directions. At Ezra Church on July 28, 15th Corps troops barely held on to their position on top of a low ridge with minimal breastworks to help them. In all three cases, hasty fieldworks added an important element in defensive capability that made a difference in the outcome of the battles.

The indignant tears of a child command attention. Daniel, aged eight, has just learned about the Brazilian rain forest and it has moved him to his first expression of political outrage. It is directed at me, not as his father, but as representative of the generation of adults who are destroying something precious before he reaches the age at which he can stop us. Through sobs and rage he shouts, “Tell the president!” Having seen me on television, Daniel has a somewhat inflated impression of my influence. Eight-year-olds are not, on the whole, always repositories of good sense, and Daniel is no exception. But by chance his anger is right on target: son and father are ethically aligned in the battleground of natural assets. First, the left flank. I agree with environmentalists that nature is special: at some level most of us recognize that. But why is it special? Mainstream environmentalists, such as Stewart Brand, offer one answer. Nature is especially vulnerable and that matters because, being dependent upon it, mankind is thereby vulnerable. But as Brand argues, many environmentalists are carrying ideological baggage that needs to be discarded. For romantic environmentalists nature is incommensurate with the mundane business of the economy: it is in some way ethically prior. Echoing Baron d’Holbach’s diagnosis of modern angst, they see industrial capitalism as having divorced us from the natural world which it is rapidly destroying. You can sense their discomfort with modern industrial society in the language that they use, replete with words such as “organic” and “holistic.” For a recent variation on the theme of Holbach, watch Prince Charles delivering the BBC’s 2009 distinguished Dimbleby Lecture. Perhaps man needs to return to a simpler, nonindustrial lifestyle. Prince Charles produces organic food, and he has created a village, Poundsbury, in the style of the eighteenth century—the last age prior to industrialization. At the extreme end of romantic environmentalism the diagnosis is more radical: mankind itself has become the enemy of what is truly good. Reflecting these sentiments, there is now a considerable cult that relishes the prospect of the extinction of mankind.
