AbstractIn this qualitative case study, we examined in-service elementary school teachers’ learning of coding and robotics in a blended professional learning course developed and delivered through the collaboration between university faculty and a school district. We focused on activity theory to understand and reveal the mediations, conflicts, and effective practices that facilitated or hindered teachers’ learning of coding and robotics. The participants of the study were twelve teachers from five different elementary schools in a rural school district. Data collection and generation sources included interviews, videos of class meetings, course assignments, and artifacts. In analyzing the data, we employed analytical approaches under the guidance of activity theory. The findings showed that teacher collaboration, coding/robotics platforms employed during the professional learning course, instructional approaches, and resources in and outside the professional learning setting mediated or conflicted with the teachers’ learning of coding and robotics depending on the way that each of these elements was employed in the course. Elaborating on these elements, we reported the implications for further research and practice.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The purpose of this research are: (1) study the implementation of the PKB program for elementary school teachers (2) the effectiveness of the PKB program for elementary school teachers. The approach of this research is a qualitative research approach and the type of the research is case study. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. Based on the acquisition of data generated in the study, it is concluded: (1) The implementation of the PKB program in the form of self-development, scientific publications, and innovative works has been running, (2) The effectiveness of the implementation of the PKB program has not been carried out effectively and optimally, especially in scientific publication activities.</p><strong>Abstrak</strong><strong>:</strong><em> </em>Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk (1) mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan program PKB guru sekolah dasar dan (2) efektivitas program PKB guru sekolah dasar. Penggunaan pendekatan pada penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian <em>case study</em> (studi kasus). Perolehan data didapat dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan perolehan data yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian, maka disimpulkan (1) pelaksanaan program PKB berupa pengembangan diri, publikasi ilmiah, dan karya inovatif sudah berjalan, (2) efektivitas pelaksanaan program PKB belum terlaksana secara efektif dan optimal khususnya pada kegiatan publikasi ilmiah.

This study aims to reveal the perceptions of elementary school teachers regarding student delinquency. This study used a qualitative approach, with a phenomenological case study design. The data analysis used was phenomenological analysis. The results of research on perceptions of elementary school teachers of "NEGERI AGOM" about student delinquency, namely: (1) student delinquency is a deviant and violates school rules committed by students, thus disturbing the learning environment and harming other individuals. (2) the form of student delinquency was categorized into 2, namely disruptive behavior and serious delinquency. Disturbing behavior is perceived in various ways including: not paying attention to tidiness, not paying attention to teacher explanations, cheating, making physical threats to students and disobeying teacher directions, nagging (still talking and not admitting mistakes), while serious student delinquency includes: truancy and chasing behavior. . (3) the causes of student's condition, namely: physical condition, lack of parental attention, less varied teacher learning methods, language difficult to understand by students, negative environment and too much lesson material. (4) how to deal with student delinquency, namely: providing learning models for students, verbal warning, special attention, providing special understanding, providing seating manipulation, providing learning grids, communicating with parents, providing rules, providing motivation, communicating online private with students, and returned to parents.
