We present two cases successfully operated on at our institution using the technique of ascending aorta-abdominal aorta bypass. The first patient was a 60-year-old female with a large partially thrombosed aortic aneurysm between the origin of the left subclavian artery and the celiac axis. The second was a 55-year-old female who had coarctation of the aorta, aortic valve stenosis, and three-vessel coronary artery disease. A one-stage operation was performed to correct all three pathologies. Extra-anatomical aortic bypass was found to be the most suitable surgical technique in both patients although for different reasons.
