The wheat precision seeding technology provided an advanced agricultural protection for the high yield of wheat. But the lack of an effective agricultural machine made this technology difficult to apply widely. In this paper a quadruped wheel robot to achieve the wheat precision seeding technology was designed. And experimental study was taken under different operating conditions. Because of multiple effort factors, a quadratic orthogonal rotation combination design method was applied in the experiments, and identifying the main factors by analysis. Then the field test was carried out according to the main factors. The experiment results showed that the qualified rates of seeding exceed 93% in different sowing speed. That reached the agronomic requirements of wheat precision seeding.

Study is due to the possibility of loss of stability of the pipeline in the process of pumping a product with a positive operating temperature and the formation of thawing halos. The article presents the ways of solving the thermomechanical problem of pipeline displacement due to thawing. The rate of formation of a thawing halo is investigated depending on the initial temperatures of the soil and the pumped product. The developed monitoring system makes it possible to study the rate of occurrence of thawing halos in the process of pumping the product. An experimental study on the formation of thawing halos around the pipeline was carried out on an experimental model. A thermophysical comparative calculation of temperatures around the pipeline on a model by the finite element method has been carried out. Due to a high degree of complexity and computational effort, overall system simulations of jet engines are typically performed as 0-dimensional thermodynamic performance analysis. Within these simulations and especially in the early cycle design phase, the usage of generic component characteristics is common practice. Of course these characteristics often cannot account for true engine component geometries and operating characteristics which may cause serious deviations between simulated and actual component and overall system performance. This leads to the approach of multi-fidelity simulation, often referred to as zooming, where single components of the thermodynamic cycle model are replaced by higher-order procedures. Hereby the consideration of actual component geometries and performance in an overall system context is enabled and global optimization goals may be considered in the engine design process. The purpose of this study is to present a fully automated approach for the integration of a 3D-CFD component simulation into a thermodynamic overall system simulation. As a use case, a 0D-performance model of the IAE-V2527 engine is combined with a CFD model of the appropriate fan component. The methodology is based on the DLR in-house performance synthesis and preliminary design environment GTlab combined with the DLR in-house CFD solver TRACE. Both, the performance calculation as well as the CFD simulation are part of a fully automated process chain within the GTlab environment. The exchange of boundary conditions between the different fidelity levels is accomplished by operating both simulation procedures on a central data model which is one of the essential parts of GTlab. Furthermore iteration management, progress monitoring as well as error handling are part of the GTlab process control environment. Based on the CFD results comprising fan efficiency, pressure ratio and mass flow, a map scaling methodology as it is commonly used for engine condition monitoring purposes is applied within the performance simulation. Hereby the operating behavior of the CFD fan model can be easily transferred into the overall system simulation which consequently leads to a divergent operating characteristic of the fan module. For this reason, all other engine components will see a shift in their operating conditions even in case of otherwise constant boundary conditions. The described simulation procedure is carried out for characteristic operating conditions of the engine.

Industrial pumps are generally used in a wide range of operating conditions from almost zero mass flow to mass flows larger than the design value. It has been often noted that the head-mass flow characteristic, at constant speed, presents a negative bump as the mass flow is somewhat smaller than the design mass flows. Flow and mechanical instabilities appear, which are unsafe for the facility. An experimental study has been undertaken in order to analyze and if possible to palliate these difficulties. A detailed flow analyzis has shown strong three dimensional effects and flow separations. From this better knowledge of the flow field, a particular device was designed and a strong attenuation of the negative bump was obtained.

For combined-cycle power plant performance analysis, a ship power plant mathematical model is developed, including diesel engine, controllable pitch propeller, exhaust gas boiler, turbine generator and shaft generator models. The simulation performance characteristic curves of diesel engine under various loads are given. Comparison of simulation results and experimental data shows the model can well predict the performance of diesel engine in various operating conditions. The specific fuel oil consumption contours of combined-cycle power plant and the relations between engine operating conditions and steam cycle parameters are given. The influence of diesel engine operating conditions to the overall performance of combined-cycle power plant is discussed.
