The purpose of this research is to know the contamination of waste water that happened in slaughterhouse (RPH) city of merauke. Data were obtained based on surveys and field observations and the sample used was RPH water waste each in repeat as many as 6 replications. Data analysis was done descriptively by comparing the result obtained with the standard of quality which have been determined. The results showed that the contamination of waste water all exceeded the quality standard except at pH value. The ALT content of wastewater in RPH 2790 x 104 and contains E. Coli and Salmonella microbes. The high content of BOD, COD, TTS, Ammonia and microbial contamination is thought to be due to the absence of wastewater treatment installation (IPAL) at RPH in accordance with the standard. Proper handling of ammonia waste can reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.

This layer represents the percentage of the population who is connected to a wastewater treatment plan for 36 countries (29 in Europe and North America, 3 in Asia and the Pacific, 3 in Latin America and the Caribbean, and 1 in Africa). However, data are available from 1975 to 2014 for 37 countries. This indicator presents sewage treatment connection rates, i.e. the percentage of the population connected to a wastewater treatment plant. “Connected” means actually connected to a wastewater treatment plant through a public sewage network. It does not take into account independent private facilities, used where public systems are not economic. Acidic wastewater treatment for the TNT factory which located in the middle of the mountains is characterized by part of its nature with alkaline properties, which prompted the researcher to take advantage of it in the treatment of acidic water instead of caustic soda. Acidic waste water is originated from spent acid treatment building, nitration, purification building, drying and packing building in TNT factory. The objective of this study is to use treated Acidic water TNT Factory by rock granules. Acidic waste water is mixed together with rock granules lye after crushed process of these rocks. The results the pH value of water after neutralizing reaction showed a significant rise in pH from 1.20 to 7. 00. This is within the SSMO. These data included reduction in BOD from 30.00 to 7.00 mg/l which is also within the range of SSMO. The COD value of the acidic wastewater which is 65.00 mg/l to 11 mg/l which is also within the range of SSMO. The use of rock granules for treatment will save an amount 9.45kg/t of  caustic soda per ton of product TNT product.

The increment of Songket popularity as the traditional fabric from South Sumatra increases the production of Songket and the wastewater produced during the dying process. The dying process produces the reddish wastewater, and if it is disposed of directly into the environment, it will have a negative impact on the waters. The wastewater treatment of this reddish liquid is by electrocoagulation method. Electrocoagulation method is contaminants removal by electrical and chemical treatment system. The electrocoagulation method in this research was conducted in a batch where the wastewater was treated using 16.5 x 7.0 x 0.2 cm aluminum electrode. The parameters varied were the current density and processing time to determine the pH value, color intensity, BOD5, COD, TSS, and phenol levels. The optimum condition obtained from this study at a current density of 25 A/m2 with a processing time of 160 minutes. The effectiveness of Songket wastewater electrocoagulation was 67.28% for TSS, 54.13% for BOD5, 63.64% for COD, color intensity 79.21% and phenol content of 74.93% respectively. The result has fulfilled the quality standard of textile industry wastewater treatment.

Tempeh is the most popular food in Indonesia. The process of making tempeh requires a lot of water. The preliminary analysis of tempeh wastewater showed that the value of COD, BOD and pH are 26693 mg/l, 11204 mg/l and 3,99. This results actually do not meet the Minister of Environment regulation No.5 (2014) about quality standard of wastewater treatment for industry. The quality standard for COD, BOD and PH for tempeh wastewater are 100-300 mg/l, 50-150 mg/l, and 6-9. So, the tempeh industrial wastewater must be processed before being discharged into the environment. The aim of this study is to determine the activated sludge ability to reduce COD, BOD, and also pH value in tempeh industrial wastewater. Tempeh industrial wastewater treatment carried out in aerated batch reactor using wastewater composition 10%, 15%, and 25% (v/v) of tempeh wastewater in 500 ml as a research variables. The wastewater while the hidraulic retention time is 48 hours. The highest COD, BOD removal efficiency occured at 25% (v/v) wastewater composition each for 74,58%, 79,27%. The COD and BOD concentration after treatment are 7625,79 mg/l and 4555,7 mg/l. And pH at 25% (v/v) wastewater composition is 6,92. pH value after treatment meet quality standard of industrial wastewater from Minister of Environment regulation No.5 (2014), but COD and BOD do not meet the standards.
