The article considers the operation of excavators designed to mine hard or frozen soils. To reduce significant energy consumption, which characterizes the process, active buckets equipped with special hammers are used. Minimizing the energy consumption of such buckets can be achieved by optimally controlling their operating modes. Expressions for the energy consumed by a hammer, characteristics of its head, operating modes, soil are derived, with the minimum of the energy estimated. On the basis of those expressions, an algorithm of energy-saving control over hammers of active excavator buckets is formed and described. It determines the corresponding speed of impact of the hammer head on the soil which can be supplied to the hammer control system in the form of a command signal. The combination of all speeds when digging a track will provide the required performance of the excavator, with each speed set to the minimum, from the viewpoint of optimizing the energy consumption, necessary for the work of the hammer.

When AC motor is operated in the light load or no-load, the power factor of AC motor is relatively low, so frequency converter is adapted to motor for energy-saving control, and the system increase the tracking function of the load on the basis of all the features of the conventional inverter. And it is able to real-time monitor to load changes of the motor through the microcontroller, online adjust the input power of the motor, so that the motor output power to match load, ensure that the energy consumption of the motor is reduced to a minimum extent in the entire load range.

During the large transformers operation, the proportion of the non-essential energy consumption is higher. In order to reduce the energy consumption in power control process, a new design method of energy-saving control in large-scale power control process based on adaptive linear genetic algorithms. Loss model of power control is established firstly. Based on the relevant data of the model, energy-saving control in large-scale power control process can be achieved. Experimental results show that the improved algorithm can effectively reduce the energy consumption in large-scale power control system, and meet the actual demand of power control.

In order to further improve the energy efficiency of classroom lighting, a classroom lighting energy saving control system based on machine vision technology is proposed. Firstly, according to the characteristics of machine vision design technology, a quantum image storage model algorithm is proposed, and the Back Propagation neural network algorithm is used to analyze the technology, and a multi­feedback model for energy­saving control of classroom lighting is constructed. Finally, the algorithm and lighting model are simulated. The test results show that the design of this paper can achieve the optimization of the classroom lighting control system, different number of signals can comprehensively control the light and dark degree of the classroom lights, reduce the waste of resources of classroom lighting, and achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction. Technology is worth further popularizing in practice.

<p>Currently, energy saving requires the development of simple and efficient street lighting control systems. In order to create such a control system, it is necessary to develop an original principle of its operation. They considered the advantages of electronic starting devices in street lighting control systems. They performed the analysis of the existing state of street lighting means, their shortcomings and solutions have been determined, and they developed the method of lighting device automatic control. They performed the assessment of the economic effect from loss reduction associated with reactive power and due to power reduction during deep night. They presented the example of economic effect achievement from the use of an electronic starting device with automatic power reduction.</p>

An energy-saving control system for building heating supply system is presented in this paper. Its design and implementation are on the basis of occupancy detection in buildings. By taking advantage of the information fusion technology, the control system will determine human’s location and control the heating equipments automatically according to non-human zone and human zone to realize the energy saving. The information fusion technology fuses three categories of information, which are the people counting information, the infrared sensors information and the RFID information. How to design and implement the heating energy-saving control system is described explicitly in this paper. Since the system has developed with platform concept based on the wireless network and the Internet, it can be used to other building electrical equipment systems with less modification.

According to large energy consumption, overload and re-reflection problemr, the control algorithm of wave-maker has been improved based on Jonswap spectrum. The control algorithm is comprised of the offline calculation of the control waveform and the real-time governing of the wave paddle. Offline algorithm is implemented on a personal computer, whereas paddle control is realized on a programmable automation controller. The experiments results show that the speed is continuous and stable, change rate of load has been optimized obviously and achieves the purpose of energy saving.
