Based on the developed methods of hysteresis interference, the calculated dependences U(x) of the electric voltage taken from the magnetic field transducer on the x coordinate were obtained. A magnetic carrier with an arctangent characteristic was exposed to a series of bipolar pulses of the magnetic field of a linear inductor of one, two, three, four, five and fifteen pulses. An algorithm is presented for the sequence of changes in the magnitude of the total strength of the magnetic field pulses on the surface of an aluminum plate, which provides the same amplitude of hysteresis oscillations of the electric voltage and makes it possible to obtain a linear difference dependence U(x) for wedge-shaped and flat aluminum samples. The results obtained make it possible to increase the accuracy and efficiency of control of the thickness of the object and its thickness variation in the given directions, as well as the defects of the object.

The paper deals with numerical modeling of delamination of laminate plate consists of unidirectional fiber reinforced layers. The methodology adopts the first-order shear laminate plate theory and fracture and contact mechanics. There are described sublaminate modeling and delamination modeling by the help of finite element analysis. With the interface modeling there is calculated the energy release rate along the lamination front. Numerical results are given for mixed mode delamination problems by implementing the method in a 2D finite analysis, which utilizes shear deformable plate elements and interface elements. Numerical example is done by the commercial ANSYS code.

This paper presents an on-line surface defects detection system based on machine vision, which has high speed architecture and can perform high accurate detection for cold-rolled aluminum plate. The system consists of high speed camera and industrial personal computer (IPC) array which connected through Gigabit Ethernet, achieved seamless detection by redundant control. In order to acquire high processing speed, single IPC as processor receives from and deals with only one or two cameras' image. Experimental results show that the system with high accurate detection capability can satisfy the requirement of real time detection and find out the defects on the production line effectively.
