Abstract This article deals with relatively young field of cryptography, namely cryptography based on the theory of infinite abstract groups. The research identifies the main problems on which this type of cryptography is based, and the cryptoanalysis conducts of one of the algorithms grounded on the problem of mating (conjugate) element finding, on the base of which the protocol for common key generating is developed. As the algorithm under study, the protocol for generating the common key based on Anshel-Anshel-Goldfeld algorithm, built on the algebraic braid groups, is investigated. During the study of this protocol, one of possible cyberattacks was identified, which allows to get hold of the secret keys of subscribers. To eliminate and to neutralize this span–cyberattack, the new modification of Anshel–Anshel– Goldfeld (AAG) algorithm was developed, which significantly reduces the probability of this cyberattack successful implementation. Analysis of this modification operating time was carried out also.

As e-commerce and urban deliveries spike, cities grapple with managing urban freight more actively. To manage urban deliveries effectively, city planners and policy makers need to better understand driver behaviors and the challenges they experience in making deliveries. In this study, we collected data on commercial vehicle (CV) driver behaviors by performing ridealongs with various logistics carriers. Ridealongs were performed in Seattle, Washington, covering a range of vehicles (cars, vans, and trucks), goods (parcels, mail, beverages, and printed materials), and customer types (residential, office, large and small retail). Observers collected qualitative observations and quantitative data on trip and dwell times, while also tracking vehicles with global positioning system devices. The results showed that, on average, urban CVs spent 80% of their daily operating time parked. The study also found that, unlike the common belief, drivers (especially those operating heavier vehicles) parked in authorized parking locations, with only less than 5% of stops occurring in the travel lane. Dwell times associated with authorized parking locations were significantly longer than those of other parking locations, and mail and heavy goods deliveries generally had longer dwell times. We also identified three main criteria CV drivers used for choosing a parking location: avoiding unsafe maneuvers, minimizing conflicts with other users of the road, and competition with other commercial drivers. The results provide estimates for trip times, dwell times, and parking choice types, as well as insights into why those decisions are made and the factors affecting driver choices.

Abstract Introduction The impetus to apply the “lean method” to creation of arteriovenous fistulae came with the pandemic restricting access to theatres. Here we present HADAP implemented in a dedicated procedure room in the Renal ward. Method Between April and September 2020, 44 patients underwent ward-based arteriovenous fistula operations with no more than 3 people in the room – surgeon, runner and patient. The parameters assessed were duration of operation, complications, patency, patient and surgeon feedback and financial implications. Results The service was predominantly registrar-led who created 91% of the fistulae. 95% operations were completed successfully with a 2-week primary patency of 73% and no surgical site infections. 40% of the procedures were radiocephalic fistulae. 14% procedures required surgical assistance by the runner. The average operating time reduced from 90 minutes for the first 10 cases to 50 minutes for the last 9. A structured questionnaire showed positive feedback from both patients and surgeons (4-5 out of 5). This service has cleared potentially 9 main theatre lists for more complex procedures. Conclusions Our study demonstrates the successful implementation of a novel operating environment allowing expedited care for renal failure patients. It has enhanced our ability to deliver a dialysis access program despite the challenges of COVID.

Each section includes a chapter describing the research supporting each category of PMI, as well as practical chapters detailing the use of different strategies that fit under each of the categories. The practical chapters describe the common procedures involved in each PMI, recommendations for successful implementation with an equity lens in applied settings, and useful resources such as implementation scripts for use in schools.

INTRODUCTION Even though cholecystectomy relieves symptoms in the majority of cases, a significant percentage suffer from ‘postcholecystectomy syndrome’. Cystic duct/gall bladder remnant calculi is a causative factor. We present our experience with the laparoscopic management of cystic duct remnant calculi. PATIENTS AND METHODS We managed 15 patients with cystic duct remnant calculi from 1996 to 2007 in our institute. All these patients had earlier undergone laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy at our centre. They were successfully managed by laparoscopic excision of the remnant. RESULTS The mean duration between first and second surgery was 8.35 months (range, 6–10.7 months). The mean operating time was 103.5 min (range, 75–132 min). Duration of hospital stay was 4–12 days. There was a higher incidence of remnant duct calculi following laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy than conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomy 13/310 (4.19%) versus 2/9590 (0.02%). The morbidity was 13.33%, while there were no conversions and no mortality. CONCLUSIONS Leaving behind a cystic duct stump for too long predisposes stone formation, while dissecting too close to the common bile duct and right hepatic artery in acute inflammatory conditions is dangerous. We believe that the former is a wiser policy to follow, as cystic duct remnant calculi are easier to manage than common bile duct or vessel injury. Laparoscopic excision of the remnant is effective, especially when performed by experienced laparoscopists. ‘T’-tube is used to canulate the common bile duct in case the tissue is friable. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreaticography is the imaging modality of choice, and is mandatory.

Any company wishing to implement a Lean approach is faced with the following issue: should Lean be implemented sequentially or simultaneously? No consensus on the method for implementing Lean has been established. For this reason we sought to find out if there was an implementation order regarding Lean practices. 25 Lean experts were interviewed. We used a precedence method to identify the potential precedence for implementing certain Lean practices. We considered only the common responses from over 50% of Lean experts interviewed. We showed that five precedence levels could exist. Understanding these levels should contribute to the creation of a deployment standard for Lean, as well as the successful implementation of Lean practices in companies.

Aam Aadmi has achieved tremendous transformation from the stage of isolation to the stage of decision maker in the era of globalization. Increasing political concerns, neglecting the confidence on Aam Aadmi has resulted in huge loss to the dictators. In view of the importance of Aam Aadmi, a great change has occurred in terms of concern for Aam Aadmi in the present era. Increasing initiations of social schemes including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and National Food Security Bill, 2013 are some of the best examples which show that the government is highly concerned for the development and as well as empowerment. In view of the emergence of two of the most popular schemes by the government, the present paper will critically examine the need for social schemes for Aam Aadmi. Further, the paper also contributes the benefits of the schemes. Further, the challenges ahead for the successful implementation of the scheme have also been presented in the paper. The present paper is mainly based on the secondary data. The data pertaining to the opinions of the common people especially in rural India have also been considered. The paper provides the valuable observations on examining the impact of social schemes for the upliftment of Aam aadmi.

Decentralized attribute-based encryption (ABE) is a special form of multiauthority ABE systems, in which no central authority and global coordination are required other than creating the common reference parameters. In this paper, we propose a new decentralized ABE in prime-order groups by using extended dual system groups. We formulate some assumptions used to prove the security of our scheme. Our proposed scheme is fully secure under the standard k-Lin assumption in random oracle model and can support any monotone access structures. Compared with existing fully secure decentralized ABE systems, our construction has shorter ciphertexts and secret keys. Moreover, fast decryption is achieved in our system, in which ciphertexts can be decrypted with a constant number of pairings.
