Abstract Honey and wax production in Russia is considered a traditional branch of agriculture, which enables to produce valuable biologically active food for the population and raw materials for the industry. Many sources speak for a rapid annual decrease in the number of bees. One of the factors in reducing the number of bees is a somewhat tough way of collecting honey, in which a small percentage of the hive dies. The paper discusses the possibility of using innovative Australian FlowHive technology designed to allow honey to flow down freely. With this technology, honey is extracted without disturbing the bees as in normal extraction. The pivotal technological secret of a FlowHive beehive is durable plastic mobile honeycombs. By turning a special knob, the vertical gaps are offset by one half of a cell, allowing the honey to flow down through the cells into a channel at the base of each frame and out into a collection vessel. The paper presents a set of data for calculating the effectiveness of innovative beehives in small agricultural production. It establishes that, once applied, innovative hives not only increase profits, but also decrease costs for basic production.

At present, the problem of rational nutrition for the elderly is extremely urgent, since every fourth Ukrainian is a retiree by age. Rationally built nutrition for such people contributes to the better functioning of all important organs and systems, increases the level of the body's protective response to adverse environmental factors. Various ways to improve the product to give it a herodetic orientation are offered. According to the concept of balanced nutrition, the structure of the diet of an aging person and its energy value should be correlated with the functional state of the enzyme systems responsible for the assimilation of food, taking into account the physiological needs of the body for nutrients and energy, according to age and health, which is especially important for seniors and seniors. From the point of view of gerontology and old age hygiene, such trends in society dictate the need for accurate and deep knowledge of aging processes at all levels of biological organization, from molecular to holistic organism in order to develop a nutritional diet that promotes aging, preventing aging lifestyle. The need for rational nutrition of the elderly puts forward the task of creating an assortment of products nutritionally adequate to the specifics of their nutrition, taking into account the most common pathologies. In the production of hereditary products, the most appropriate is the partial replacement of traditional raw materials with non-traditional, the introduction of dietary and biologically-active additives, the use of secondary raw materials and non-traditional vegetable (medicinal plants, berry syrups, vegetable oils). This makes it possible to create balanced for all criteria products for the elderly, whose production takes into account all age characteristics.

Abstract Fruits and vegetables are the most popular raw ingredients that act as a source of dietary fiber and other biologically active substances that benefit the human body. The vast majority of nutrients enter the human body with food, so the daily ration of an average person should include those useful products that can provide the body with the necessary amount of biologically active substances. Vegetable-based raw materials containing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, dietary fibers used in the production of food products are considered a source of functional properties. A priority area of product technologies is the search for technological methods for the production of functional food products with a given biological value (high BAS and antioxidant content). The paper presents recipes and innovative technology for the production of functional syrups based on Viburnum fruits, as well as the evaluation of consumer characteristics, nutritional value and functional orientation of the corresponding products.

The cultivation of medicinal plants is currently the main way of providing the pharmaceutical industry with raw materials for obtaining biologically active substances for the production of drugs. The use of natural resources of wild species is decreasing every year for a number of reasons, the biotechnological method has not been properly expanded yet, and in some cases it is possible to reproduce only a part of the complex of target biologically active substances contained in an intact plant. In recent years, a positive growth trend has been outlined in the domestic production of medicinal starting materials of herbal origin. However, there are a number of problematic issues that inhibit the development of medicinal plant growing and lead to a certain stagnation. These are general legislative and organizational problems, as well as deterioration or deficiency of material resources – basic production assets, lack of comprehensive mechanization, shortage of qualified specialists and a number of other obstacles. Nevertheless, the actively growing demand for high-quality raw materials from medicinal plant both in our country and abroad opens up great prospects for the development of medicinal plant production. It should be noted that the analysis of the current state of collection and cultivation of medicinal plants in Russia is poorly developed or is practically absent. The paper examines the current state of medicinal plant production; attempts are made to identify the main problems and possible growth points. Finding solutions to the problems and using the growth points show promise for the transformation of medicinal plant production into an industry with a large import substituting and export potential.

The article provides brief information about cardiotonic, sedative, cytostatic, diuretic, and antibacterial effects of biologically active compounds of Adonis L. (Ranunculaceae) species. Chemical studies allowed to identify the cardiac glycosides, or cardenolides: or cardenolides: adontoxin, adonitol, adonitoxigenin, acetyldigitoxin and others. In scientific medicine, it is currently allowed to use Adonis vernalis L. Other types of Adonis have a similar chemical composition and are offered as substitutes for this official species, for example, Adonis apennina L. Many Adonis species have limited natural resources, and in some regions are rare, requiring conservation of their natural populations. The search for alternative sources of medicinal plant raw materials, based on this, is relevant. The experimental part of our research was carried out using the morphological and geographical method with the involvement of information on ecology and phenology. For the first time summarizes the diagnostic features of Adonis flora of Russian flora. Previously unknown structural features (shape and size of anthers) were identified that characterize the subgenera Adonanthe and Adonis. Taxonomic study of the genus Adonis of the Russian flora allowed us to determine its species composition, clarify its systematic affiliation, and nomenclature synonyms. 9 species were identified. Of these, 6 are perennials belonging to the subgenus Adonanthe, section Consiligo, which includes 2 subsections: Amurenses (2 species) and Vernales, which is differentiated into 2 rows: Apenninae (2 species) and Vernales (2 species). Subgenus Adonis is represented by 2 sections: Adonis (1 species) and Lophocarpa with sections Aestivales (1 species) and Dentatae (1 species). For all the considered species and varieties, the main distribution areas are given. A key has been compiled to determine the wild Adonis species distributed in Russia.

In this article approaches to search for reserves of decrease in cost of agricultural production are considered. The methods of cost calculation of dairy cattle breeding products used at the studied enter-prise are analysed, short characteristic of the standard method offered by the Ministry of Agriculture is given, and calculations of alternative options are also carried out. Today creation of accounting of a production unit is very important so that not only weight units must be considered in it, but also the quali-tative structure of products must be reflected. Definition of qualitative characteristics and technological properties by production of milk which depend on use purposes can be an example. The raw materials consumption on a unit of production and its quality and also firmness of storage depends on technologi-cal properties of milk. At calculation of prime cost taking into account qualitative characteristics for cal-culation milk in terms of basic fat content undertakes. The method of calculation of prime cost consider-ing qualitative characteristics is the most expedient as prime cost of 1 c of milk unlike the operating tech-nique is lower. In the article analytical methods of reserves calculation for decrease in prime cost taking into account various factors are proved. The revealed reserves will allow an enterprise to expand its in-vestment opportunities in the future, they will give an additional incentive of modernization of the worn-out machinery and equipment in branches of agriculture.

The author begins by discussing the relationship between agriculture and population at a theoretical level, proceeds with a historical review of changes in the role and significance of an individual as agricultural producer, and finally, analyzes population as an element (potentials - limitations) of agricultural development in Serbia. The overall production results, and particularly the propensity to technical and technological innovation, as well as the ability to adapt to the changed conditions are, as we know well, crucially dependent on the structure of the working population. Hence, the author discusses regional differences in agricultural population by age, sex, level of education and productivity to provide a clear illustration of the impact of this element (indicator) on the population as the factor of agricultural production. The results show significant macroregional differences by this element with respect to the average for Serbia.

Abstract Background Secretome profiles of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are reflective of their local microenvironments. These biologically active factors exert an impact on the surrounding cells, eliciting regenerative responses that create an opportunity for exploiting MSCs towards a cell-free therapy for cartilage regeneration. The conventional method of culturing MSCs on a tissue culture plate (TCP) does not provide the physiological microenvironment for optimum secretome production. In this study, we explored the potential of electrospun fiber sheets with specific orientation in influencing the MSC secretome production and its therapeutic value in repairing cartilage. Methods Conditioned media (CM) were generated from MSCs cultured either on TCP or electrospun fiber sheets of distinct aligned or random fiber orientation. The paracrine potential of CM in affecting chondrogenic differentiation, migration, proliferation, inflammatory modulation, and survival of MSCs and chondrocytes was assessed. The involvement of FAK and ERK mechanotransduction pathways in modulating MSC secretome were also investigated. Results We showed that conditioned media of MSCs cultured on electrospun fiber sheets compared to that generated from TCP have improved secretome yield and profile, which enhanced the migration and proliferation of MSCs and chondrocytes, promoted MSC chondrogenesis, mitigated inflammation in both MSCs and chondrocytes, as well as protected chondrocytes from apoptosis. Amongst the fiber sheet-generated CM, aligned fiber-generated CM (ACM) was better at promoting cell proliferation and augmenting MSC chondrogenesis, while randomly oriented fiber-generated CM (RCM) was more efficient in mitigating the inflammation assault. FAK and ERK signalings were shown to participate in the modulation of MSC morphology and its secretome production. Conclusions This study demonstrates topographical-dependent MSC paracrine activities and the potential of employing electrospun fiber sheets to improve the MSC secretome for cartilage regeneration.
