Abstract In order to incorporate agile manufacturing (AM) in materials and systems, the manufacturing sectors have drivers to face obstacles. Agility is generally accepted for satisfying diverse consumer demands as a new strategic principle in the automotive industry. There has now been a prerequisite for evaluating AM in industry. An organization’s effectiveness relies on their ability to find and pay special attention to the crucial success drivers to achieve a high level of efficiency. This paper suggests a number of Agile Manufacturing Drivers (AMDs) to evaluate AM that is deemed suitable to the production industry. In order to prioritise performance drivers, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach is used to summarise the perspective of an expert. The proposed AMDs are believed to encourage and assist the manufacturing sector in producing agile products to achieve higher efficiency so as to improve competition.

Green and sustainable engineering business models have become a major topic across industries due to concerns regarding environmental issues and the decline of natural resources. Remanufacturing is showing promise as a preferable solution in terms of environmental, societal, and economic factors compared to alternatives such as repairing, reconditioning, and recycling. By considering the nature of the closed cycle loop system, this paper proposes the idea of a transitional agenda into remanufacturing. However, different countries should employ different approaches to such a transition in order to appropriately account for and integrate diverse stakeholders, perspectives, and preferences. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to evaluate prioritized elements and sub-elements in the development of a transitional decision-making framework (TDMF) in the Malaysian automotive industry by applying the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Aggregation of individual and group judgement is done for prioritised elements and their sub-elements, which are then ranked accordingly using element weights based on the acceptance of individual and group consistency index values.

Employee engagement has been extensively researched lately as it delivers a positive business outcome. Due to the complex competition prevailing in the automotive industry, maintaining a high-level engagement among the employees is important for long term business performance. The level of employee engagement can be improved by identifying its drivers. For this purpose of study, The Malaysian automotive industry was chosen as it plays a significant role in the manufacturing sector which drives towards industrialization nation, hence contributing to the Malaysian economy. The drivers of employee engagement are identified as (rewards and recognition, leadership, empowerment, compensation and career development) and their relationship between employee engagements are examined. Furthermore, Job stress was used as a moderator to examine the relationship of Employee Engagement and Retention. 288 responded from this industry in Malaysia based on random sampling and Structural equation modelling (SEM) was utilised as statistical tools to perform the analysis. It is hoped that this study will benefit many organizations, especially the employers and human resource managers in Malaysia by developing a better understanding on the importance of employee engagement within the organization, in a way, which could improve the performance of the business competitiveness and retain the employees

Maluku is one of the provinces of the eastern part of Indonesia, consisting of 11 regencies. The Maluku branch of Statistics Indonesia reported in 2018 that in 2013–2018 the number of poor people in Maluku's rural areas increased by 1,970. Concurrently, the number of poor people in urban areas decreased by around 6,070 people. This fact showed that development in Maluku Province hadn't been implemented effectively and equally. This study aimed to determine the development priority in Maluku Province using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. The determination of priorities was based on three aspects in the human development index concept, namely education, health, and economy. Data from Statistics Indonesia on life expectancy, mean years of schooling, expected years of schooling, and per capita expenditure were the indicators were used as the indicators in this study. The results showed that there were 10 regencies with a high level of priority, with the exception being Ambon City, which had a low-level priority. Classification of regencies showed that there was a disparity between them. These findings can help to inform future development designs in Maluku Province.

The world has been shocked by the emergence of COVID-19 since December 2019 which is an acute respiratory disease caused by a corona virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or abbreviated as SARSCoV-2 (Gorbalenya et al., 2020). As of June 17, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) noted that there were 8,061,550 people infected with COVID-19 and 440,290 people died (WHO, 2020a). Even though the Case Fatality Rate (CFR)  of  COVID-19  is  only around  5.46%, this disease is very dangerous because of its spread so fast it has infected 216 countries (Worldometer, 2020). To prevent uncontrolled spread, WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11, 2020 (WHO, 2020b) to increase awareness of this disease. The status of this pandemic is a concern for the world to make various   efforts   to   prevent   the   spread   of COVID-19. One way to protect yourself from spreading COVID-19 is to use Personal Protective Equipment. Face shield is a personal protective device that functions to protect the face from exposure to dangerous substances in the case of the spread of the Covid-19 virus. A good face shield is a face shield that has a high level of durability, has high material quality, has a sufficient level of elasticity, and the costs incurred are not too expensive. In choosing the best alternative in making a decision, the right method is needed so that the best alternative is obtained from various predetermined criteria. Then the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to select the best alternative material to be used in making the Face Shield. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that each alternative has the advantage of the criteria felt by the respondent. However,  of  the  four  criteria  for   selecting the face shield material, the most superior  or  chosen  as  the  choice  is mica.Judging from the percentage of mica against the Durability criteria is 31.7%, the percentage of mica against the quality criteria is 43.1%.
