AbstractWe establish new local regularity results for the harmonic map and Yang–Mills heat flows on Riemannian manifolds of dimension greater than 2 and 4, respectively, obtaining criteria for the smooth local extensibility of these flows. As a corollary, we obtain new characterisations of singularity formation and use this to obtain a local estimate on the Hausdorff measure of the singular sets of these flows at the first singular time. Finally, we show that smooth blow-ups at rapidly forming singularities of these flows are necessarily nontrivial and admit a positive lower bound on their heat ball energies. These results crucially depend on some local monotonicity formulæ for these flows recently established by Ecker (Calc Var Partial Differ Equ 23(1):67–81, 2005) and the Afuni (Calc Var 555(1):1–14, 2016; Adv Calc Var 12(2):135–156, 2019).

AbstractWe construct the ancient solutions of the hypersurface flows in Euclidean spaces studied by B. Andrews in 1994.As time {t\rightarrow 0^{-}} the solutions collapse to a round point where 0 is the singular time. But as {t\rightarrow-\infty} the solutions become more and more oval. Near the center the appropriately-rescaled pointed Cheeger–Gromov limits are round cylinder solutions {S^{J}\times\mathbb{R}^{n-J}}, {1\leq J\leq n-1}. These results are the analog of the corresponding results in Ricci flow ({J=n-1}) and mean curvature flow.

AbstractThis paper discusses linear quadratic Nash game of stochastic singular time-delay systems governed by Itô’s differential equation. Sufficient condition for the existence of Nash strategies is given by means of linear matrix inequality for the first time. Moreover, in order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed theory, stochastic H2∕H∞control with multiple decision makers is discussed as an immediate application.

Some partial differential algebraic equations (PDAEs) system with singular time derivative matrices is analyzed. First, by PDE spectrum theory, this system is formulated as infinite-dimensional singular systems. Second, the state space and its properties of the system are built according to descriptor system theory. Third, the admissible property of the PDAEs is given via LMIs. Finally, the developed energy estimation method is proposed to investigate the global stability of PDAEs. The proposed approach is evaluated by an application in numerical simulations on some wetland conservation system with social behavior.
