Leishmania (Mundinia) enriettii is a parasitic kinetoplastid first isolated from a guinea pig in Brazil in 1946. We present the complete genome sequence of L. ( M. ) enriettii isolate CUR178 strain LV763, sequenced using combined short-read and long-read technologies. This will facilitate a greater understanding of the genome diversity within L. ( M. ) enriettii .

( M. ) orientalis , sequenced using combined short-read and long-read technologies. This will facilitate greater understanding of this novel pathogen and its relationship to other members of the subgenus Mundinia .

ABSTRACT Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12228 was sequenced using a long-read method to generate a complete genome sequence, including some plasmid sequences. Some differences from the previously generated short-read sequence of this nonpathogenic and non-biofilm-forming strain were noted. The assembly size was 2,570,371 bp with a total G+C% content of 32.08%.

Leishmania ( Mundinia) martiniquensis is a kinetoplastid parasite that was first isolated in 1995 on Martinique. We report the first complete genome for Leishmania martiniquensis from Asia, isolate LSCM1, strain LV760, which was sequenced using combined short-read and long-read technologies. This will facilitate greater understanding of the evolution of the geographically dispersed subgenus Mundinia .

Here, we report the complete genome sequence of an Acinetobacter baumannii isolate harboring 11 plasmids, obtained at a hospital in Japan in 2016. The complete 4.07-Mbp genome sequence (1 chromosome and 11 plasmids) was analyzed by a combination of long-read (Flongle) and short-read (NovaSeq 6000) sequencing.

ABSTRACT The complete genome of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Kottbus strain Kharkiv (serogroup C2-C3), which was isolated from a commercial pork production facility in Kharkiv, Ukraine, was assembled using long-read Nanopore sequences. A single circular contig (4,799,045 bp) comprised a complete chromosome encoding antibiotic resistance, highlighting the risk of cross-species livestock and human infection.
