We investigate an m-point boundary value problem for nonlinear fractional differential equations. The associated Green function for the boundary value problem is given at first, and some useful properties of the Green function are obtained. By using the fixed point theorems of cone expansion and compression of norm type and Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem, the existence of multiple positive solutions is obtained.

Abstract In this paper, we consider the existence of multiple positive solutions for the 2𝑛th order 𝑚-point boundary value problem: where (0,1), 0 < ξ 1 < ξ 2 < ⋯ < ξ 𝑚–2 < 1. Using the Leggett–Williams fixed point theorem, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem. The associated Green's function for the above problem is also given.

We discuss the existence of positive solutions of a boundary value problem of nonlinear fractional differential equation with changing sign nonlinearity. We first derive some properties of the associated Green function and then obtain some results on the existence of positive solutions by means of the Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem in a cone.

This paper is concerned with the two-point boundary value problems of nonlinear finite discrete fractional differential equations. On one hand, we discuss some new properties of the Green function. On the other hand, by using the main properties of Green function and the Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem on cones, some sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one or two positive solutions for the boundary value problem are established.

We are concerned with the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the nonlinear fractional boundary value problem:D0+αu(t)+λa(t) f(u(t))=0, 0<t<1, u(0)=u′(0)=u′(1)=0,where2<α<3is a real number andD0+αis the standard Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative. Our analysis relies on Krasnoselskiis fixed point theorem of cone preserving operators. An example is also given to illustrate the main results.

In this paper, we investigate the existence of multiple positive solutions or at least one positive solution for fractional three-point boundary value problem with p-Laplacian operator. Our approach relies on the fixed point theorem on cones. The results obtained in this paper essentially improve and generalize some well-known results.
