A flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) multiscalar field cosmology is studied with a particular potential of the form V(ϕ,σ)=V0e-λ1ϕ-λ2σ, which emerges as a relation between the time derivatives of the scalars field momenta. Classically, by employing the Hamiltonian formalism of two scalar fields (ϕ,σ) with standard kinetic energy, exact solutions are found for the Einstein-Klein-Gordon (EKG) system for different scenarios specified by the parameter λ2=λ12+λ22, as well as the e-folding function Ne which is also computed. For the quantum scheme of this model, the corresponding Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) equation is solved by applying an appropriate change of variables.

Abstract A unification in terms of exact solutions for massless Klein–Gordon, Dirac, Maxwell, Rarita– Schwinger, Einstein, and bosonic and fermionic fields of any spin is presented. The method is based on writing all of the relevant dynamical fields in terms of products and derivatives of pre–potential functions, which satisfy d’Alambert equation. The coupled equations satisfied by the pre–potentials are non-linear. Remarkably, there are particular solutions of (gradient) orthogonal pre–potentials that satisfy the usual wave equation which may be used to construct exact non–trivial solutions to Klein–Gordon, Dirac, Maxwell, Rarita–Schwinger, (linearized and full) Einstein and any spin bosonic and fermionic field equations, thus giving rise to an unification of the solutions of all massless field equations for any spin. Some solutions written in terms of orthogonal pre–potentials are presented. Relations of this method to previously developed ones, as well as to other subjects in physics are pointed out.

Abstract We construct classical theories for scalar fields in arbitrary Carroll spacetimes that are invariant under Carrollian diffeomorphisms and Weyl transformations. When the local symmetries are gauge fixed these theories become Carrollian conformal field theories. We show that generically there are at least two types of such theories: one in which only time derivatives of the fields appear and the other in which both space and time derivatives appear. A classification of such scalar field theories in three (and higher) dimensions up to two derivative order is provided. We show that only a special case of our theories arises in the ultra-relativistic limit of a covariant parent theory.

Using the asymptotic iteration and wave function ansatz method, we present exact solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation for the quark-antiquark interaction and harmonic oscillator potential in the case of the position-dependent mass.

The exact solutions of the one-dimensional Klein–Gordon equation for the Rosen–Morse type potential with equal scalar and vector potentials are presented. First, we briefly review Nikiforov–Uvarov mathematical method. Using this method, wave functions and corresponding exact energy equation are obtained for the s-wave bound state. It has been shown that the results for Rosen–Morse type potentials reduce to the standard Rosen–Morse well and Eckart potentials in the special case. The PT-symmetry for these potentials is also considered.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the field equations of modified [Formula: see text] theory of gravity, where R and [Formula: see text] represent the Ricci scalar and scalar potential, respectively. We consider the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker space–time for finding some exact solutions by using different values of equation of state parameter. In this regard, different possibilities of the exact solutions have been discussed for dust universe, radiation universe, ultra-relativistic universe, sub-relativistic universe, stiff universe, and dark energy universe. Mainly power law and exponential forms of the scale factor are chosen for the analysis.

The problem of particle creation from vacuum in a flat Robertson–Walker spacetime is studied. Two sets of exact solutions for the Klein–Gordon equation are given when the scale factor is a2(η) = a+b tanh(λη)+c tanh2 (λη). Then the canonical method based on Bogoliubov transformation is applied to calculate the pair creation probability and the density number of created particles. Some particular cosmological models such as radiation dominated universe and Milne universe are discussed. For both cases the vacuum to vacuum transition probability is calculated and the imaginary part of the effective action is extracted.

In this paper, we show the instability of a charged massive scalar field in bound states around Kerr–Sen black holes. By matching the near and far region solutions of the radial part in the corresponding Klein–Gordon equation, one can show that the frequency of bound state scalar fields contains an imaginary component which gives rise to an amplification factor for the fields. Hence, the unstable modes for a charged and massive scalar perturbation in Kerr–Sen background can be shown.

Using the ontological interpretation of quantum mechanics in a particular sense, we obtain the classical behavior of the scale factor and two scalar fields, derived from a string effective action for the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) time dependent model. Besides, the Wheeler–DeWitt equation is solved exactly. We speculate that the same procedure could also be applied to S-branes.
