In order to improve the multisource data-driven fusion effect in the intelligent manufacturing process of complex products, based on the proposed adaptive fog computing architecture, this paper takes into account the efficient processing of complex product intelligent manufacturing services within the framework and the rational utilization of fog computing layer resources to establish a fog computing resource scheduling model. Moreover, this paper proposes a fog computing architecture for intelligent manufacturing services for complex products. The architecture adopts a three-layer fog computing framework, which can reasonably provide three types of services in the field of intelligent manufacturing. In addition, this study combines experimental research to verify the intelligent model of this article and counts the experimental results. From the analysis of experimental data, it can be seen that the complex product intelligent manufacturing system based on multisource data driven proposed in this paper meets the data fusion requirements of complex product intelligent manufacturing.

Experience accumulation and reuse are very important for manufacturing of complex product. However, there is no mechanism to support such function in the integrated manufacturing system based on semantic SOA which is generally accepted as an effective approach to raise productivity. Specific to this problem, we propose a solution by building a case-base in semantic SOA to improve the traditional framework, in which case-base can accumulates the experiences by case study and reuse them by case retrieve. In this paper, the new architecture and workflow of the semantic SOA with build-in case-base is designed, merging and maximizing the advantages of both case-base and SOA to make up the lack of experience accumulation and reuse mechanism. Then, combined with field characteristics of complex products’ manufacturing process, construction and implementation concerning key technologies and methods of case-base are comprehensively elaborated.

AbstractThis research work presents a methodological support for the specification of complex products. This is achieved by developing a specification structure in a MBSE environment. The new method draws on success factors of complex product specification, principles of MBSE and the explanatory model of PGE – Product Generation Engineering. For evaluation, the method is applied within a student development project. A high applicability and the realization of novel synergies for coping with continuously increasing product complexity is demonstrated.

With growing evidence of the operational performance of cyber-physical manufacturing systems, there is a pivotal need for comprehending sustainable, smart, and sensing technologies underpinning data-driven decision-making processes. In this research, previous findings were cumulated showing that cyber-physical production networks operate automatically and smoothly with artificial intelligence-based decision-making algorithms in a sustainable manner and contribute to the literature by indicating that sustainable Internet of Things-based manufacturing systems function in an automated, robust, and flexible manner. Throughout October 2020 and April 2021, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was performed, with search terms including “Internet of Things-based real-time production logistics”, “sustainable smart manufacturing”, “cyber-physical production system”, “industrial big data”, “sustainable organizational performance”, “cyber-physical smart manufacturing system”, and “sustainable Internet of Things-based manufacturing system”. As research published between 2018 and 2021 was inspected, and only 426 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria. By taking out controversial or ambiguous findings (insufficient/irrelevant data), outcomes unsubstantiated by replication, too general material, or studies with nearly identical titles, we selected 174 mainly empirical sources. Further developments should entail how cyber-physical production networks and Internet of Things-based real-time production logistics, by use of cognitive decision-making algorithms, enable the advancement of data-driven sustainable smart manufacturing.

AbstractWhen does the complex product of a given number of subsets of a group generate the same subgroup as their union? We answer this question in a more general form by introducing HS-stability and characterising the HS-stable involution subsemigroup generated by a subset of a given involution semigroup. We study HS-stability for the special cases of regular $${}^{*}$$ ∗ -semigroups and commutative involution semigroups.

A framework for building EDM collaborative manufacturing system using multi-agent technology to support organizations characterized by physically distributed, enterprise-wide, heterogeneous intelligent manufacturing system over Internet is proposed. According to the characteristics of agile EDM collaborative manufacturing system(AEDMCMS), the agent technology is combined with Petri net in order to analyze the model. Based on the basic Petri Net, the definition is extended and the Agent-oriented Petri net (APN) is proposed. AEDMCM is turned into the model of Petri Net which is suitable to the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes.
