The promotion of ice and snow sports not only provides professional athletes for the Winter Olympics but also acts as appreciative mass bases for ice and snow sports. The appearance of ice and snow sports will bring a new consumption pattern and develop a new ice and snow industry. In this paper, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based sports information collection system which is specifically designed and developed for the healthcare domain specifically in the snow and ice sports is proposed. The physiological parameters such as body temperature, ECG, blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood oxygen saturation are captured through various monitoring devices. These physiological parameters are transmitted to the mobile device by the wireless module and mobile device that receives and displays these physiological parameters. A complete hardware design of the whole ice and snow sports health and sports information acquisition system, which is based on the Internet of Things, is given, and then, there is the overall design scheme of the system, such as adopted modular design for the system, attitude measurement unit, UWB positioning unit, data storage, and communication unit, respectively. The measurement results of the professional medical equipment are compared with those of acquisition equipment in real environment of ice and sports. These results have verified accuracy of data collected by acquisition equipment and meet the design requirements of the proposed system.

To meet the requirements of high quality of people’s life, a remote healthcare service with Internet of things (IoTs) is developed in this paper. The proposed system includes microcomputer, physiological sensors and corresponding signal preprocessing circuit, and wireless transmitting module etc. Sensors are used to detect the various vital signals. The collected data is transmitted to mobile device using Bluetooth. The doctors get patient’s physiological parameters through the GPRS which connects the mobile device and medical center. As a result, doctor can give diagnostic message to the patient without face to face. The detecting device is designed as a watch form which is wrist-worn enclosure, unobtrusive and low power consumption. An android mobile app is also designed to transmit data as well as display the collected data. The experiment validates the performance of the proposed system.

Electricity monitoring systems have long been used in industrial scenarios such as process scheduling and distribution. This monitoring system needs to be developed for domestic use such as in homes and shops. In recent times, the electricity demand has increased in households with the use of different appliances. The advent of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) has made real-time data acquisition and analysis possible. This project is designed to control and monitor household electricity consumption via smartphones using the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module as a communication protocol and the Blynk application as a private server. The used wifi module provides notification through the Blynk application. The system uses an Arduino Mega2560 microcontroller to control all devices in this project. For monitoring the energy usage, a current sensor type Split Core Current Transformer (SCT013) was used. From the experimental results, it is confirmed that the system is capable of monitoring the whole house’s electrical usage easily. With this system in place, end-users are provided with proper awareness and able to plan their home’s electrical consumption pattern effectively.
