Information technology has brought great changes to China’s education. 5G technology provides a better guarantee for the sharing of curriculum resources, facing the extreme shortage of educational resources in China. The contradiction between limited educational resources and unlimited development needs of higher education has become increasingly prominent. How to effectively realize resource sharing among universities has become a problem that must be considered in the talent development of universities. In order to solve this problem, universities must improve the utilization rate of resources, maximize resource sharing, and establish a more perfect resource sharing mechanism under the background of 5G and Internet of Things. This paper analyzes the current situation of research at home and abroad, the current situation of resources development, and the application of online courses under the background of Internet of Things, thus constructing an overall framework of curriculum resource sharing mode. According to effective experiments, the offline curriculum education resource sharing and traditional resource sharing schemes in the background of 5G and Internet are compared, and the necessity and importance of applying 5G Internet of Things are verified.

With the coming of the era of cloud computing, applications of cloud computing must have a profound impact on the field of education and promote the development of education and teaching. How to apply cloud computing in education is becoming a hot research. Under this context, the services provided with cloud computing and the establishment of Digital Education Resource Cloud Sharing Mode can break through the bottleneck of digital education resource sharing in universities, and improve the efficiency of digital educational resource sharing, which is conducive to promote educational equity and help to reduce sharing cost in order to realize the effect optimization of digital education resource sharing. This paper analyzes the construction of digital education resource in Hebei universities and designs the cloud-based sharing model.

Internet of Things is a special concept of realizing intelligent sense, location, tracking, monitoring and management. It has been formally listed as one of five new large strategic industries. But because the construction of Internet of Things is still stay initial stage of research and exploration. Compared with the current internet, the Internet of Things has not only specific framework system, but also its concept, scope, technology system and standard are not clear. From above, based on grasping the definition, characteristics of the times and current situation of the Internet of Things and combining the connotation of educational resource sharing, this paper just talk over the application of the Internet of Things in education and study how to realize educational resource sharing better with the environment of the Internet of Things.

COVID 19 has had a wide impact on education internationally and specifically in Canada, with nearly all institutions now transitioning to online education, with many learning for the first time about Open Educational Resources (OER). Understanding what is happening with OER in the different regions of our country is one step in creating awareness and promoting national networks for sharing resources, serving to address local educational needs. Educators can assemble, adopt, adapt, design, and develop OER-based courses that can cost-effectively address the needs of Canadian students. This paper describes OER-related initiatives and implementations across Canada that can serve as examples to educators and administrators, who because of COVID 19, are offering online courses for the first time.

The traditional online education resource integration technology ignores the calculation of the characteristic variance contribution rate of online educational resources, and the evaluation of educational resources is biased, which leads to the low ability of resource integration. Therefore, the online education resource integration technology based on remote scheduling of teaching information is proposed. Based on the theory of remote scheduling of teaching information, the quantitative value of online educational resources integration is obtained. By calculating the integration probability of online educational resources, the influencing factors of online educational resources in the process of integration are determined. The principle of teaching information remote scheduling is integrated into the feature vector extraction of online educational resources, and the contribution rate of feature variance of online educational resources is calculated. By extracting the number of main factors of the online educational resources feature vector, the feature vector of online educational resources is decomposed. Taking the wavelet entropy of online educational resources as the fusion weight of online educational resources, the integration result of online educational resources is obtained through wavelet transform. The experimental results show that the online education resource integration technology based on remote scheduling of teaching information has ideal application performance in integration probability, the goodness of fit, and robustness.

Universities around the world have faced a new pandemic, forcing the closure of campuses that are now conducting educational activities on online platforms. The paper presents a survey about students behavior and attitudes towards online education in the pandemic period from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania. A group of 300 students participated. The questionnaire was structured in four parts to determine student’s individual characteristics, student’s needs, students’ knowledge in using virtual platforms and students’ quality preferences for online education. The students said that online education in a pandemic situation is beneficial for 78% of them. A total of 41.7% percent of students appreciated the teachers’ teaching skills and the quality of online courses since the beginning of the pandemic, and 18.7% percent of the students appreciated the additional online materials for study to support their education. However, students found online education stressful, but preferred online assessment for evaluation. This pandemic has led to the new stage of Education 4.0, online education, and the need to harmonize methods of education with the requirements of new generations.

Over recent years, massive open online courses (MOOCs) have gained increasing popularity in the field of online education. Students with different needs and learning specificities are able to attend a wide range of specialized online courses offered by universities and educational institutions. As a result, large amounts of data regarding students’ demographic characteristics, activity patterns, and learning performances are generated and stored in institutional repositories on a daily basis. Unfortunately, a key issue in MOOCs is low completion rates, which directly affect student success. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for educational institutions and faculty members to find more effective practices and reduce non-completer ratios. In this context, the main purpose of the present study is to employ a plethora of state-of-the-art supervised machine learning algorithms for predicting student dropout in a MOOC for smart city professionals at an early stage. The experimental results show that accuracy exceeds 96% based on data collected during the first week of the course, thus enabling effective intervention strategies and support actions.

The expansion of online education into massive open online courses (MOOCs) and equipment have created a unique opportunity for delivering immersive learning experiences at scale. However, although the inclusivity of the MOOC ecosystem can be commended, many online courses lack key benefits associated with traditional classroom environments: immersive, engaging, and team-driven learning opportunities. Immersive learning environments (ILEs) address these educational gaps but has not been able to operate at the broad scale that MOOCs offer. Importantly, ILEs address opportunities missing from MOOC systems, they add unique learning opportunities that would also be missing in a traditional classroom. The inclusion of this virtual reality technology is pivotal topic for educational research. This theoretical paper will briefly define immersive learning environments and the potential benefits of incorporating immersive learning environments into scalable educational systems. We will also consider developers constraints on creating these online ecosystem and suggested strategies for overcoming them.
