Based on the definition of 6 basic body types in the group, the family Cyclocoelidae is revised with the erection of Skrjabinocoelinae n. subf. and Szidatitreminae n. subf., and the resurrection of the subfamily Hyptiasminae. Subfamily keys and keys to genera that accommodate the original 3 subfamilies (Cyclocoelinae, Ophthalmophaginae, and Haematotrephinae), the 3 additional subfamilies proposed, the 6 body types used in the revision, and the recently described genus Selfcoelum are provided. Morishitium texanense n. sp. is described from the common snipe, Gallinago gallinago, in Texas, U.S.A., the genus Neoallopyge is synonymized with Allopyge, and the genus Neohyptiasmus is synonymized with Morishitium.

A description is given of a new species of paruterinid Cestode, belonging to the subfamily Paruterinae Fuhrmann, 1907, of the family Dilepididae Fuhrmann, 1907, to which the name Lallum magniparuterina gen. et sp.nov. is given. It is parasitic in the intestine of the common teal, Nettion crecca Linn.

1. A new species of Bothriocephalus—B. pycnomerus—is described from the intestine of Ophiocephalus marulius Ham. Buch., from the Ganges and Jumna at Allahabad, India.2. B. pycnomerus closely resembles B. histiophorus (Shipley 1901; from the marine sword-fish Histiophorus) in structure but differs chiefly in the possession of an armed scolex and its crowded indistinct segmentation.3. Lühe's definition of the genus Bothriocephalus must be amended to include forms with armed scolices and forms in which the ventral uterine apertures are a-median and irregularly alternate.4. Two new species of Proteocephalidae are described which possess armed muscular rostella, and for these a new genus Gangesia is created and defined. The definitions of the Order Tetraphyllidea (Lühe 1910) and of the Family Proteocephalidae (La Rue 1914) must be amended to include forms possessing muscular rostella, armed or unarmed.5. These two new species—Gangesia wallago and G. macrones—were found in the intestines of Wallago attu Bleek and Macrones seenghala Sykes (both Siluroids) respectively, from the Ganges and Jumna at Allahabad.6. Southwell's “Ophryocotyle bengalensis,” from Ophiocephalus striatus, Labeo rohita and Wallago attu, is probably identical with Gangesia wallago.

The genusMesodiplatys(Dermaptera: Diplatyidae) comprises eight species from Madagascar and one species from Peru. Based on a sample collected from a cave in Brazil, a new species of this genus,MesodiplatysfalciferKamimura,sp. n., is described as the second species from South America. Based on a reexamination of the holotype ofMesodiplatysinsularis, a revised key toMesodiplatysspecies is provided. The definitions of the generaMesodiplatysandHaplodiplatysand the family Haplodiplatyidae are also reconsidered.

The monotypic genus Pseudoxistrella Liang, 1991 was established for P. eurymera Liang, 1991 from Hainan Island in China (Liang, 1991) as a genus closely related to Xistrella Bolivar, 1909. It was listed by Blackith (1992) and Otte (1997) without definition of subfamily of Tetrigidae. Later Pseudoxistrella was placed in the subfamily Metrodorinae (Liang & Zheng, 1998). But this genus is characterized by the rounder and turned downward posterior angle of lateral lobes pronotum like in subfamily Tetriginae (in Metrodorinae posterior angle truncated and turned outward), therefore now Pseudoxistrella is considered as a genus of uncertain position within subfamilies of Tetrigidae (Eades et al., 2012). A new species of the genus Pseudoxistrella was found in Vietnam. This gives us the possibility to clarify the diagnosis of Pseudoxistrella and its place in the family Tetrigidae.

The genus Rapisma McLachlan, 1866 (montane lacewings) is a rare and little known group of the family Ithonidae (Insecta: Neuroptera). There have been 21 described species of Rapisma, and all of them are distributed from East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Here I report a new species of Rapisma from northwestern Yunnan, China, namely Rapisma weixiense sp. nov. The new species belongs to a group of Rapisma species with very short antennae.

Abstract During a parasitological survey of fishes at Iguazu National Park, Argentina, specimens belonging to the allocreadiid genus Auriculostoma were collected from the intestine of Characidium heirmostigmata. The erection of the new species is based on a unique combination of morphological traits as well as on phylogenetic analysis. Auriculostoma guacurarii n. sp. resembles four congeneric species – Auriculostoma diagonale, Auriculostoma platense, Auriculostoma tica and Auriculostoma totonacapanensis – in having smooth and oblique testes, but can be distinguished by a combination of several morphological features, hosts association and geographic distribution. Morphologically, the new species can be distinguished from both A. diagonale and A. platense by the egg size (bigger in the first and smaller in the last); from A. tica by a shorter body length, the genital pore position and the extension of the caeca; and from A. totonacapanensis by the size of the oral and ventral sucker and the post-testicular space. Additionally, one specimen of Auriculostoma cf. stenopteri from the characid Charax stenopterus (Characiformes) from La Plata River, Argentina, was sampled and the partial 28S rRNA gene was sequenced. The phylogenetic analysis revealed that A. guacurarii n. sp. clustered with A. tica and these two as sister taxa to A. cf. stenopteri. The new species described herein is the tenth species in the genus and the first one parasitizing a member of the family Crenuchidae.

Four additional species of quill mites of the family Syringophilidae Lavoipierre have now been recorded in England. This includes one new species, Bubophilus aluconis sp. nov., which parasitizes the tawny owl Strix aluco (Strigiformes: Strigidae). It differs from other species of this genus, B. ascalaphus Philips et Norton, 1978 and B. asiobius Skoracki et Bochkov, 2002 by the number of chambers in transverse branch of the peritremes (2-3), the length ratio of setae vi and ve (1:1.6-2), and the lengths of the stylophore and aggenital setae ag1 (180 and 135-145, respectively).

A new genus, Cryptofavognathus is proposed for two species, Cryptofavognathus afyonensis (Koç & Akyol, 2004) comb. nov. and C. anatolicus sp. nov. The adult female and male of C. anatolicus sp. nov. collected from moss and a bird’s nest are herein described and figured.
