Given the significance of cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability, there is a need to develop an instructional model that can improve students’ awareness and behavior of autonomous learning, as well as to explore the effectiveness and optimization of this model effectively. Taking college English course as a case study, this paper constructs a blended learning mode based on SPOC, which combines advantages of online and offline teaching. 15 types of nonredundant sets resulting from 500 questionnaires has been explored, and the optimal factor combinations have been found out from 15 types with the technology of data mining to optimize the mode constructed previously. Optimized blended learning mode, emphasizing the optimal factors more, has been applied to College English curriculum design and teaching practice in China. Surveys of students’ achievement and autonomous learning behavior have been conducted after experiment. The results of the research indicate that the optimized blended learning mode will stimulate foreign language learners’ learning motivation, cultivate their autonomous learning ability, so as to construct and improve their autonomous learning behavior further.

At present, MOOCs are rapidly emerging throughout the country which bring great challenges as well as opportunities to foreign language teaching. Foreign language learners can learn language better through MOOCs. However, the teaching effect of MOOCs is directly determined by learners’ autonomous learning ability. Therefore, this article discusses the relevant theories of autonomous learning, analyzes foreign language learners’ autonomous learning on the MOOCs platform, and proposes methods to promote the autonomous learning ability of foreign language learners.

Motivation for reform and development for teaching of college English is strengthened by the increasing popularity of computers and global network technology. This paper analyzes the relationship between computer network teaching and the improvement of students’ autonomous learning ability, and the advantage of computer network teaching in actual teaching based on reviewing the theoretical basis and several learning models for autonomous learning done in the spirit of College English Curriculum Requirements issued in 2008. The promotion of a new teaching model for the improvement of students’ autonomous learning ability has been verified by the research and survey on teaching model of college English under the environment of computer network in Xi-dian University.

In this chapter, the authors demonstrate a practical view of a foreign language curriculum development in Colombia. Within the chapter, they give a brief description of language policies that guided the curriculum; a discussion of the research framework, methods, and data collection; and a reflection of the choices made with regard to education, language, and language learning. By triangulating existing policies, contextual and conceptual needs analyses, and existing classroom practices, the authors demonstrate a collaborative and flexible means of meeting foreign language teaching across a broad spectrum of inconsistencies. Conclusions review and discuss the importance of maintaining an open and adaptable perspective throughout foreign language curriculum design while establishing and creating a working, flexible English language curriculum.

This study investigated the effectiveness of college English blended education under MOOCs philosophy in China. The findings suggest that many features of MOOCs philosophy are evident in college English blended education and eight factors influence effectiveness. Relationships of the influencing factors demonstrate that interactions and evaluations are highly influencing factors in autonomous learning and motivations exert high influences on autonomous learning. However, students have low motivation in interaction and evaluation, for they are more extrinsically than intrinsically motivated. And also, collaborative learning is the least influencing factor in the study. To motivate the students, great emphasis should be laid on interactions and evaluation in student's autonomous learning. Moreover, students' negative attitude towards autonomous learning hampers their adaptability to college English blended learning, and, as attitude and motivation are highly related, this deserves equal attention.

At present, the field of natural language will also introduce in-depth learning, using the concept of word vector, so that the neural network can also complete the work in the field of statistics. It can be said that the neural network has begun to show its advantages in the field of natural language processing. In this paper, the author analyzes the multimedia English course based on fuzzy statistics and neural network clustering. Different factors were classified, and scores were classified according to the number of characteristics of different categories. It can be seen that with the popularization of the Internet, MOOC teaching meets the requirements of the current college English curriculum, is a breakthrough in the traditional teaching mode, improves students’ participation, and enables students to learn independently. It not only conforms to the characteristics of College students, but also improves their learning effect. In the automatic scoring stage, the quantitative text features are extracted by the feature extractor in the pre-processing stage, and then the weights of network connections obtained in the training stage are used to score the weights comprehensively. This model can better reflect students’ autonomous learning ability and language application ability.

Since the 21st century, the cultivation and improvement of college students' English autonomous learning ability have become an important symbol of deepening the reform of College English teaching. The reform of teaching model is the critical to it. With the help of the self-constructed flipped classroom teaching model, this paper designs the corresponding teaching process, aiming at investigating the three dimensions of self-management learning ability, self-learning psychology and self-learning behavior of non-English majors. After the investigation and experiment on the control class and the experimental class for the whole semester, the experimental results show that the self-regulated learning model of College English based on the flipped classroom can greatly improve the comprehensive English level of College students, and the flipped classroom teaching model of College English can effectively improve the students' self-management learning ability, stimulate students 'motivation of autonomous learning and activate students' autonomous learning behavior. Thus, it opens up a new path for the cultivation of College Students 'autonomous learning ability.

Through interviews with the specific needs of English abilities of the graduates in the jobs of different industries and different units, this paper will understand whether their English ability really exceeds the post demand, and will reflect on the College English curriculum according to the actual needs of English in the work. At the same time, after summarizing the English skills required by the graduates in the interview, this paper will further understand the specific situation and implementation effect of the University's highly valued English curriculum, and understand whether it meets the needs of the individual development and social needs of undergraduate students through a questionnaire survey, and find out what problem that needs to be improved. Finally, based on the interview data and questionnaire data, we summarize the learning needs, implementation effects and curriculum problems of College English curriculum, and put forward specific policy recommendations for College English curriculum.

The purpose of the following paper is to consider the development of reflection in foreign language learners. Based on the results of action research, we show to what extent the performance of group tasks affected the perception of reality and influenced changes in the communication and learning behavior of participants of an action research project. Reflection is analyzed on the basis of statements contained in student diaries and transcriptions from video recording of discussions. This means that on the one hand, we are interested in the opinions, conclusions and evaluations made by learners, but on the other hand, we attach importance to the coherence between formulated judgments and practical group action. It is not uncommon that declarations are not in accordance with the activities undertaken and that, in consequence, their value is questionable. The paper also points to difficulties associated with becoming a reflective person as well as the restrictions connected with the scientific measurements of this process.
