The general questions raised at the beginning of the article are the relevant developments in the performance appraisal system in the field of nuclear industry and positive development’s tendencies in comparison with previously adopted concepts of the performance appraisal system. The article examines processes, which are currently in force in the nuclear industry. Furthermore, the requirements for workers «with the right to carry out qualification» are provided. The statistics of performance appraisal, which was collected since the inception of the performance appraisal system, is provided in this article. Moreover, there are considered types of professional qualification and methods of destructive and nondestructive testing assigned by relevance.

The 360 degree feedback method is one of the performance appraisal methods which implementation takes an assessment of the parties around the employee being assessed. The 360 degree feedback method performance appraisal system conducted at PT. Pertamina RU IV (Persero) Cilacap aims to determine the implementation of the performance appraisal system using the 360 degree feedback method, determine employee performance with what variables are used in performance appraisal, and obtain performance optimization. The research method used in this research uses qualitative methods with a quantitative approach. The 360 degree feedback method is used to find data from respondents, namely from superiors, colleagues, themselves and subordinates. Based on the research that had been done, it had succeeded in determining the best workers from each discipline and position based on the calculation of variables and indicators used. The 360 degree feedback performance assessment can help the company appropriately to provide rewards for workers with the highest percentage and provide punishment for workers with lowest percentage. The calculation of these variables and indicators helps the company to find the right solution in an effort to optimize the performance of its employees. Keywords: performance, performance appraisal, 360 degree feedback method

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to investigate and articulate the performance appraisal process as a tool, used for the development of voice behavior through the fostering of trustworthiness and empowering culture in the organization.Design/methodology/approachData has been collected through survey instruments, filled by employees and their coworkers. The study proposes and tests a new model based on the relationship between performance appraisal and voice behavior through the moderation-mediation mechanism. Data analysis has been performed using SEM through SMART PLS 3.FindingsResults show that a strong and positive relationship exists between performance appraisal and voice behavior through the mediating variable of psychological empowerment. The moderators, empowering leadership and perceived fairness have played vital role in boosting psychological empowerment and strengthening the relationship with performance appraisal.Research limitations/implicationsThe study presents the performance appraisal system as one of the antecedents of employees' voice behavior generated through psychological empowerment (mediator) and perceived fairness and empowering leadership (moderators) since the appraisal system is to be implemented through the leader.Originality/valueThe study presents a unique and innovative idea while it tries to explore and measure the different effects/impacts of the relationship between performance appraisal and voice behavior.

The inspection and control of sodium-cooled fast reactors (SFR) is a major issue for the nuclear industry. Ultrasonic solutions are under study because of the opacity of liquid sodium. In this paper, the use of leaky Lamb waves is considered for non-destructive testing (NDT) on parallel and immersed structures assimilated as plates. The first phase of our approach involved studying the propagation properties of leaky Lamb waves. Equations that model the propagation of Lamb waves in an immersed plate were solved numerically. The phase velocity can be experimentally measured using a two dimensional Fourier transform. The group velocity can be experimentally measured using a short-time Fourier transform technique. Attenuation of leaky Lamb waves is mostly due to the re-emission of energy into the surrounding fluid, and it can be measured by these two techniques.
