The article gives a brief analysis of the current state and structure of higher education in Russia with the aim of identifying current challenges in harmonization in the part of the moral education of students. Some additional requirements arising from these tasks, in respect of the teaching staff are presented.

The article deals with the implementation of the national-patriotic education of student and cadet youth that is especially important in the sociopolitical conditions of development of modern society. Due to this the purpose of the article is the disclosure of the objectives, purpose, principles, content, forms and methods of national-patriotic education, features of its implementation and improvement path in the system of higher education. In the article such research methods were used: theoretical – analysis, systematization, comparison of scientific approaches and definitions, generalization of the main characteristics of concept (to study the theoretical issues of the nature and structure of national-patriotic education, its implementation, the selection of criteria, indicators and levels of the studied education); empirical – observation, testing, questioning, experiment (to determine the level of national-patriotic education of students/cadets, the formulation of recommendations for its improvement); statistical – methods of statistical processing of results. The system of national-patriotic education of students/cadets development by the authors was experimentally verified and its effectiveness was proved. The main tasks that should be solved by higher education institutions with the aim of raising to a qualitatively new level the system of national-patriotic education of student and cadet youth, namely: development and planning of the concept of national-patriotic education for the entire period of study; preparation of methodological recommendation and didactic materials for the teaching staff, aimed at the national-patriotic education of students/cadets; unity of class and out-of-class work on national-patriotic education.

Improving the quality of training military specialists at the command level is undoubtedly an urgent problem for law enforcement agencies and the state as a whole. This fact is directly related to the maintenance in a combat-ready state of military units deployed both in the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. The article analyzes the views of domestic and foreign scientists on the problem of digitalization of education. Its goals, objectives, current state and prospects for further development are revealed. The ways of improving the quality of the organization of the educational process in terms of learning in a distance (digital) format are presented. The current state of integration of immersion technologies in higher education, including military education, is analyzed. A method of giving military education a practical orientation is presented, which consists in the use of immersive technologies. The main provisions of the immersive approach in military education are analyzed. Within the framework of this article, the ways of further development of immersive technologies in the military education system are presented. The parallel development directions of immersion technologies are highlighted: virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). The possibilities of using these technologies in the perspective of the development of military education are revealed. The necessity of re-profiling the role of the teaching staff of military educational institutions of higher education due to the further integration of immersion technologies into the training system of officers of the Russian army is proved.

In the article it is studied out that the spiritual and moral value orientations education of students is becoming increasingly important. It is determined that the need to establish in education approaches that ensure a harmonious balance of moral and professional qualities of graduates of higher education institutions is emphasized in the strategic documents of education of Ukraine. The research emphasizes that the effectiveness of spiritual and moral education of future engineers is realized due to students' awareness of the essence of spiritual and moral value orientations, as well as stimulating the need for professional self–development of future professionals. The article describes the implementation of the author's special course “Spiritual and moral value orientations: ways of education” in the educational process of Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University.

The paper is devoted to theoretical and methodological analysis of the issue of synergetics development as a universal interdisciplinary approach. The article presents an analysis of the main provisions of the synergetic paradigm and the current state of natural science edu-cation in higher education, justifies the need to improve its quality. Based on the experience gained at Samara state social and pedagogi-cal University, new approaches are proposed in natural science education at the higher pedagogical school. Much attention is paid to the problem of synergetic modeling in the humanitarian sphere. The article describes the applications of synergetic methodology in pedago-gy and in natural science education of students of Humanities.

The current state of the problem of informatization of education in Ukraine has been analyzed. It is shown that information technologies largely determine the nature and direction of higher education, and their active implementation in the educational process contributes to effective training of future competitive professionals. The main aspects of solving the problem of informatization are considered: computerization of educational institutions and acquisition of information and communication competencies by research and teaching staff of universities.

The article discusses the current state of professional training of engineers, in particular, electronics engineers in Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) and explores best practices from US HEIs. The research outlines the features of professional training of electronics engineers and recent changes in Ukrainian HEIs. Such challenges for Ukrainian HEIs as lack of collaboration between higher education and science with industry, R&D cost reduction for HEIs, and downsizing the research and academic staff, the disparity between the available quality of human capital training and the demanded are addressed. The study attempts to identify successful practices of US HEIs professional training of engineers in order to suggest potential improvements in education, research, and innovation for training electronics engineers in Ukraine.

Аннотация: В современном развивающемся обществе все больше расширяется роль и значение информации. Информация становится ключевым фактором развития человеческой цивилизации. В этих условиях важное место в структуре личности принадлежит ее информационной культуре, предполагающей владение источниками информации, способностью к ее поиску и активному использованию в жизненных процессах. В овладении молодежью информационной культуры важная роль принадлежит вузам и вузовским библиотекам. В статье показаны актуальность рассматриваемой проблемы, значение этих факторов становлении информационной культуры молодых поколений в период получения высшего образования, когда идет формирование всей культуры личности в целом. Раскрывается содержание понятия информационной культуры, кратко характеризуется современное состояние формирования информационной культуры в вузах Кыргызстана, определяется роль вузовских библиотек в воспитании информационной культуры студентов. An important role in the mastery of information culture by young people belongs to universities and university libraries. The article shows the relevance of the problem, the importance of these factors in the formation of the information culture of young generations during the period of higher education, when the formation of the entire culture of the personality as a whole is in progress. The content of the concept of information culture is revealed, the current state of the formation of information culture in universities of Kyrgyzstan is briefly characterized, the role of university libraries in the education of students' information culture is determined. Современное состояние и развитие уголовно-исполнительной системы Российской Федерации диктует необходимость овладения будущими специалистами комплексом определенных знаний, умений и навыков, позволяющих им эффективно решать служебные задачи. Одним из путей повышения профессионального уровня специалистов является формирование и развитие профессиональной культуры. Проведенный в статье анализ понятия «профессиональная культура» позволяет констатировать сложность его содержания, что связано с особенностями профессиональной деятельности сотрудников УИС, многообразием решаемых задач. Автором подробно исследуется процесс формирования профессиональной культуры в вузах ФСИН России, рассматриваются особенности работы в данном направлении профессорско-преподавательского состава, командиров строевых подразделений, сотрудников отделов по работе с личным составом, приводятся возникающие при этом проблемы и предлагаются возможные пути решения. Отмечается, что успешность формирования профессиональной культуры курсантов зависит от их профессионализма, дисциплинированности, инициативности, настойчивости и личного примера сотрудников. В заключение подчеркивается, что высокий уровень профессиональной культуры сотрудника УИС является условием успешной служебной деятельности и целью дальнейшего профессионального самосовершенствования.The current state and development of the criminal Executive system of the Russian Federation dictates the need for future specialists to master a set of certain knowledge, skills and abilities that allow them to solve official tasks effectively. One of the ways to improve the professional level of specialists is the formation and development of professional culture. The analysis of the concept of «professional culture» in the article allows us to state the complexity of its content, which is associated with the peculiarities of professional activity of employees of the UIS, the variety of tasks to be solved. The author studies in detail the process of formation of professional culture in the universities of the Federal penitentiary service of Russia, examines the features of work in this direction of the teaching staff, commanders of combat units, employees of departments for work with personnel, presents the problems arising in this case and suggests possible solutions. It is noted that the success of the formation of professional culture of cadets depends on their professionalism, discipline, initiative, perseverance and personal example. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the high level of professional culture of the employee is a condition of successful performance and the purpose of further professional self-improvement.

The purpose of looking at Indian universities in a comparative perspective is obviously to locate it among higher education institutions across the world and to identify its strengths and weaknesses in the advancement of learning and research. In doing so, one can discern the directions for reform in order to put the university system in a competitive advantage for an emerging knowledge society. This chapter looks at the current state of universities in India and highlights the initiatives under way for change and proposes required policy changes.
