University social responsibility (USR) is an important assessment criterion of the QS Stars. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the social orientation of universities as intellectual leaders in the development of society gains particular importance. The research purpose is to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the university activity directions in the framework of strategies (USR). An empirical assessment of the level and complementary factors of USR in the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was conducted, using the method of integral and expert assessment. Grounded on scoring according to the principal component analysis, the structure of the factors of the USR development in the BRICS countries was determined. Multifactor regression modeling allowed substantiating the priority of factors stimulating the development of USR in the BRICS countries in modern conditions and arguing the main barriers to introducing the concept of social responsibility into university activities and expanding the stakeholders’ circle in it. The research results showed that the university management creativity, effective communication with the public and stakeholders, the quality of the educational process and the development of scientific activities stimulate USR development in the BRICS countries and should be used as the basis for the strategic planning of activities in the context of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Conceptual trends in the USR development can be useful for universities in the studied countries when adapting strategic development plans regarding the social needs of modern society.

Purpose of the study: The purpose of the article is to study the characteristics of the stigmatization process of modern youth in the Russian Far East. Special attention is paid to living conditions in the Russian Far East, noting that the majority of the population in the Far Eastern region and, above all, young people, are in a situation of social inequality and marginality in relation to the rest of Russians. Many young people associate their life strategies with leaving the territory of the Far East of Russia. Methodology: At the first stage of the study, the method of participant observation was used, which provided primary information about the impact of stigma on the self-identification of young people. At the empirical level of research, such sociological methods as document analysis, sociological surveys in the form of questioning and interviewing were applied. A sociological survey was conducted as a pilot study of the problems of stigmatization among high school and university students of the cities of Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Main findings of this article: Stigma is manifested in its own way in different times and in different communities, it is historically and socioculturally specific. Territorial stigma possesses signs of ambivalence, on the one hand, it has a negative effect on the socialization and self-identification process of young people in the Russian Far East, but on the other hand, it can act as an incentive for young people to make an active and conscious choice of their life strategy. Applications of this study: The findings can be used in the implementation of youth policy in the Far Eastern Federal District by state and local authorities in order to prevent the outflow of young people from the region. The main results of the study can be useful for use in the educational process in such disciplines as sociology, political science, regional studies, as well as for the further study of the problems of social stigmatization. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty and significance of the study lie in the fact that in Russian sociology practically no attention is paid to the problems of territorial stigmatization. The theoretical conclusions were obtained on the basis of the original sociological research conducted by the authors of the article in the cities of the Far Eastern region of Russia. The results provided new knowledge of both territorial stigmatization and social stigmatization in general. The novelty of the conducted study lies in the actualization of the problem of social stigmatization of Russian youth living in the Far Eastern region remote from the center of Russia.

The modern world society is on the threshold of total digitalization of all spheres of human activity. As a result, the process of digitalization has become widespread at the beginning of the 21st century. Ukraine does not stand aside from these processes. She joined the process of digital transformation. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy and Society of Ukraine for 2018–2020. Digitalization provides for the saturation of the physical world with electronic-digital devices, means, systems and the establishment of electronic communication between them. Readiness to use information and digital resources in professional activities over time becomes decisive for the industry. The number of jobs in Ukraine that require employees to have at least a basic understanding of information and communication and digital technologies is growing rapidly. The ability to use modern technology is becoming one of the main requirements for staff. There is a problem of reviewing the competencies that must be formed in students in accordance with the requirements of the time. One of such competencies is design and technology. Therefore, in the article we focused on the problem of forming project-technological competence in students by introducing 3D-modeling in the educational process of technical, physical-mathematical and natural sciences. 3D-modeling software allows you to transform ideas into models that can be used in teaching, design, architecture, cinema and many other areas of human life. Today, there are many programs used for 3D-modeling. They differ in the degree of complexity and the functionality required for the task. To ensure the formation of design and technological competence in the educational process, we propose to use the program Blender version 2.82a. We offered an example of practical work «Transparent vase and fabric simulation» performed using the Blender program. We have described in detail the stages of creating an object. We have developed elements of the methodology of formation of design and technological competence during the implementation of 3D-modeling. Its contribute to the renewal of the content of education and educational technologies, which aligns them with the modern needs of society. Total digitization of all areas of human activity outlines the prospects for further development in the direction of improving the organization of the educational process.
