This study aims to explain the innovation process and driving factors in the mosque. This is important because innovation is too focused on the economic sector, forgetting religious institutions. Modern mosques continue to display stretching innovation, but previous studies have not been explaining how to the process. 12 innovative programs in Masjid At-Taqwa Anggut owned by Bengkulu City Government have been appointed as cases. We conducted in-depth interviews with 11 mosque officials and 7 days were used for observation. Seeing how the innovation process, we have used keyword discovery techniques and data categorization. We found a relatively similar pattern in every program. The innovation process in At-Taqwa Anggut starts the needs of worshipers, idea generation, Islamic focus discussion, development, and program execution. Requesting perspective to the Mosque Sharia Council (Islamic expert) is an interesting process. It turned out to be a unique finding because the general framework had not yet been published. Three of the driving factors considered to have a strong influence are the mayor's leadership, the love of the mosque, and the spirituality motivation in the motto of fastabikul khairat.Keywords: Innovation, Mosque Management, Religious Institution

There is a lack of broad participation in most idea generating programs in American organizations. In this paper, we consider ways to increase the participation rate in generating ideas across organizations. These approaches include measuring innovation rates and reporting them, encouraging continuous improvement in idea generation, raising participation in programs such as Business Process Reengineering and Quality Circles, and training in creativity that includes team efforts at ideation. We also consider the importance of encouragement in helping employees to take the risks necessary to generate ideas.

The objective of this study is to broaden understanding of how vulnerability is shaped more by social, cultural, and religious institutions than by individual life circumstances, exploring the case of Palestinian-Israeli single mothers’ relationships with men. Research often determines the vulnerability of a group, such as women migrants from an ethnic minority, by specific demographic characteristics. This common assumption has been challenged by calls to understand vulnerability as social processes intersecting with the action of the state and other social institutions. The study provides a nuanced examination of the social processes through which Palestinian-Israeli single mothers are simultaneously forbidden from and coerced into having relationships with men, drawing on a systematic analysis of data from semi-structured, in-depth interviews of 36 Palestinian-Israeli single mothers. The analysis exposed several mechanisms which forbid single mothers from having relationships with men, alongside mechanisms that permit, often even coerce, such relationships. These mechanisms are embedded in interrelated structural factors—massive differences in gender power relations, vast gender economic disparities, inability of most single mothers to support their families independently, and state policy of non-intervention in domestic affairs of ethnic minorities, and create a state of “dangerous vulnerability.”

Abstract The aim of this paper is to introduce an end-to-end development process for non-biomedical innovation and new business models of a Life Science company that integrates different methods such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agility and others within one framework. Since 2016 this innovation process is an essential part of the internal Employee Innovation program and proves its applicability in a real-life setting. Projects teams develop and implement their new digital business models successfully by taking the introduced innovation process as guideline. This process enables the Life Science organization to run two global entrepreneurship programs (Catalyst Fund and Catalyst Box) that foster customer focus with fast and evidence-based experimentation. The article encompasses a real-life case study out of the Catalyst Fund program about the Farm Advisory Team from India. By using this example each phase of the innovation process is described schematically. Idea generation is easy-to-apply, but the implementation of ideas is one of the biggest challenges in larger corporations. The proposed end-to-end innovation process connects the dots of different innovation methods and provides guidance to company decision makers and project teams in order to structure their business model innovation activities/strategy and discussions. Zusammenfassung Das Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, einen durchgängigen Innovationsprozess für nicht-biomedizinische Lösungen und Geschäftsmodelle eines Life-Science-Unternehmens vorzustellen, der verschiedene Methoden wie Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agilität und andere innerhalb eines Gestaltungsrahmens integriert. Seit 2016 ist der Innovationsprozess ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des internen Employee Innovation Programms und beweist seine Anwendbarkeit in einem realen Umfeld. Projektteams entwickeln und implementieren ihre neuen digitalen Geschäftsmodelle erfolgreich, indem sie den vorgestellten Innovationsprozess als Leitfaden nutzen. Dieser Prozess ermöglicht es dem Life-Science-Unternehmen, zwei globale Entrepreneurship-Programme (Catalyst Fund und Catalyst Box) durchzuführen, die den Kundenfokus mit schnellen und evidenzbasierten Experimenten fördern. Der Artikel umfasst eine reale Fallstudie aus dem Catalyst Fund Programm über das Farm Advisory Team aus Indien. Anhand dieses Beispiels wird jede Phase des Innovationsprozesses schematisch beschrieben. Die Ideengenerierung ist leicht anwendbar, aber die Umsetzung von Ideen ist eine der größten Herausforderungen in größeren Unternehmen. Der vorgeschlagene End-to-End-Innovationsprozess integriert die verschiedenen Innovationsmethoden und bietet Entscheidungsträgern und Projektteams in Unternehmen eine Anleitung, um ihre Aktivitäten bzw. Strategie und Diskussionen zur Geschäftsmodellinnovation zu strukturieren.

Purpose Previous studies on innovation tend to view innovation as consisting of a creative phase of novel and useful ideas, and a non-creative, or at least a less creative phase, as this considered to be the mere implementation and validation of the initially created ideas. In contrast, this paper aims to stress on the significance of the process of validating a new idea as being a creative, learning, exploratory process that shapes the degree of novelty of the innovation as a whole. Design/methodology/approach In driving this argument, this study deductively builds on a theoretical pre-understanding derived from extant literature related to management innovation and organizational legitimacy, and inductively draws on information gleaned from three in-depth case studies. Findings The study shows that the validation phase in the innovation process is a creative process, rather than just being a set of activities that relate to the mere execution of the created ideas. Viewing the validation process as an exploratory search for new knowledge, this study establishes a relationship between the form of knowledge mobilized, vertically within an organization or horizontally from outside, and the form of legitimation required. Validation based on internally generated knowledge is effective in terms of achieving pragmatic (efficiency-driven) objectives. Inter-organizational knowledge inflows are associated with cognitive legitimacy – a form of legitimacy that leads to changes in the stakeholders’ beliefs about a the product. In contradistinction, horizontal, socio–cultural inflows of knowledge are likely to improve on the product itself, thereby generating more traction for validation. Research limitations/implications This research is based on data collected from three firms only. Practical implications The idea developed here can provide business organizations a better understanding of the validation process of management innovations. This study suggests that successful innovation often requires managers to be prepared to seek knowledge beyond the confines of their own organizations. Originality/value This study contributes in three ways: it submits that there is a dynamic interplay between the moments of creation and validation, which is largely shaped by the novelty of the mobilized knowledge, depending on whether it is internal top–down or external horizontal; relatedly, the effectiveness of validation is shaped by the novelty of the knowledge garnered to justify the initial ideas; and the present paper has extended Suchman’s (1995) framework by linking the effectiveness of the various forms of legitimacy to the source of knowledge mobilized in the validation process.

A number of empirical studies have shown the continuous lack of adherence and the growing autonomy of the population regarding religious institutions. This article reflects on the kind of relationship between deinstitutionalisation and religious experience based on the following hypothesis: the evident decline in religious institutions does not necessarily lead to the disappearance or the weakening of religious experience; rather, it runs simultaneously with a process of individualisation. Our aim is to provide empirical evidence of such transformations; therefore, we do not get involved in speculations, but take into account the contributions of scholars concerning three key terms integrated in the conceptual framework of “religious experience’’: “experience of God”, “God image”, and “institutional belonging”. We analysed 39 in-depth interviews with a qualitative approach; interviews were conducted during the years 2016–2018 amongst Evangelical and Catholic populations in three Latin American cities (Córdoba, Montevideo, and Lima) and in the city of Bilbao (Spain). These interviews clearly indicate a growing autonomy from the religious institution, while evidencing a rich range of experiences of God and a great diversity of God representations. In both cases, they point to processes of individualisation of believers who elaborate their own religious experience in a personal and complex way.

In the world economic space there is a complex transition from industrial technological system to postindustrial, in which the high tech, informatization and knowledge economy takes on the dominating role of the driving forces of development. Naturally, for such a turn of events, economic science was not well prepared, and today there is a certain gap between the practice of accelerated changes and the scientific provision of these processes. First of all, it concerns the development of a strategy and mechanisms for the development of the country's economy and identifying opportunities for realizing its innovative potential by doing innovative management. The researchers consider innovative management in their work in a number of aspects: science and art of innovative management (I. Dichkivska, P. Zavlin); kind of administrative activity in making decisions on innovations (I. Balabanov, M. Yon, V. Stadnik,); management of innovations (N. Kruglov, A. Porshnev); a system of rules of principles, norms, values orientations that regulate various spheres of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Oholova). In innovative management, the methods of socio-psychological series, heuristic and collegial (I. Ansoff, B. Gates, L. Karuushkha, A. Morita) prevail. There is a change in the general functions, structure and objectives of management (L. Danilenko, L. Oholova), there are special means and forms of organization of innovation activity (V. Vasilenko, L. Vashchenko).The study of literary sources and their generalization shows the importance of this issue, and requires a more in-depth study and analysis of international experience in implementing innovative measures. The research objective. The main purpose of this study is to analyze measures to stimulate innovation development in the countries of the world, assessment of their effectiveness, as well as consideration of the directions on the basis of their activation of innovation activity in Ukraine. The article reveals the essence of the concept of "innovative management", analyzes the international experience in implementing and stimulating the innovation process. Thus, to summarize, it can be concluded that the experience of leading countries in stimulating innovation usually involves quite similar measures, namely: subsidies, tax cuts or, in some cases, tax holidays, payment of a share of R & D expenditure. The following organizations are created: informational, technical, financial support for business engaged in innovation activities. Bendega is a traditional institution in the field of maritime and fisheries on indigenous peoples in Bali in the coastal region, economic, social, cultural and religious that has historically continued to grow, evolving in accordance with the culture, and also the local wisdom of Bali. Bendega is one of three traditional institutions in Bali, namely, Desa Adat, Subak and Bendega. This purpose of this study to understand and interpret the characters of the form and character of the contents of the Bali Regional Regulation 11/2017 which are based on formal and material principles, and study settings using the method of thinking Regulatory Impact Assessment. This research used a normative research method. The results showed that the formation of the Bali Regulation 11/2017 was based on philosophical, sociological and juridical considerations. The establishment of the Bali Regulation 11/2017 is based on attribution authority and delegation. The content character of the Bali Regulation 11/20 is discretionary, in the sense of giving the Governor and the Regency / City Government the freedom of space. Bali Regional Regulation 11/2017 has addressed the character of responsiveness to pluralism in the legal order that applies in areas that have certainty and fulfill people's desires. The certainty of the rules of traditional socio-cultural and religious institutions in the field of fisheries which are part of the culture of traditional Balinese society. Furthermore, it is hoped that there will be a further scientific review of the Bali Provincial Regulations that have been stipulated in the Regional Gazette Bendega adalah lembaga tradisional di bidang kelautan dan perikanan pada masyarakat adat di Bali yang ada di wilayah pesisir, bersifat ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan religius yang secara historis terus tumbuh, berkembang sesuai dengan budaya dan kearifan lokal Bali. Tujuan penelitian adalah memahami dan menginterpretasi karakter bentuk dan karakter isi Perda Bali 11/2017 yang berlandaskan pada asas formil dan materil, dan kajian pengaturan dengan menggunakan logika berpikir Regulatory Impact Assessment. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum normatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembentukan Perda Bali 11/2017 adalah berdasarkan pertimbangan filosofis, sosiologis, dan yuridis. Pembentukan Perda Bali 11/2017 didasari pada kewenangan atribusi dan delegasi. Karakter isi Perda Bali 11/20 bersifat diskresioner, dalam pengertian memberikan ruang kebebasan kepada Gubernur dan Pemerintah Kabupaten/ Kota. Perda Bali 11/2017 telah menujukan karakter responsifitas terhadap kemajemukan tatanan hukum yang berlaku di daerah yang memiliki nilai kepastian dan memenuhi keinginan masyarakat. Kepastian aturan lembaga tradisional yang bersifat sosial budaya dan religius di bidang perikanan yang merupakan bagian dari budaya masyakat tradisional Bali. Untuk selanjutnya diharapkan adanya pengkajian ilmiah lebih lanjut tentang Perda-Perda Provinsi Bali yang telah ditetapkan dalam lembaran Daerah.

Abstract Background Religious institutions found at the community, not only uphold belief and cultural values but also as a force for positive change and development. Improved sanitation and hygiene is crucial in these institutions to decrease preventable infections due to unsanitary conditions. However, there are no studies among religious institution on availability of latrine. So this study was conducted to assess the latrine availability and associated factors among religious institution in Tigray Region, Ethiopia.Method Institution based cross – sectional study design was conducted in Tigray Region, Northern Ethiopia. Multi-stage sampling was used to sample 385 religious institutions. Data was collected using pre tested, structured questionnaire and observation checklist. Logistic regression was fitted and odds ratio with 95% confidence interval (CI) with p-value less than 0.05 was used to determine the predictors of latrine availability. Analysis was carried out using SPSS 20 TM - software package.Results In this study latrine availability was 32.8%. And was significantly affected by currently saved money towards having a latrine (Adjusted Odds ratio (AOR): 0.32, 95% confidence interval (CI) [0.25, 0.42]), any messages seen, heard or received on sanitation and hygiene (AOR: 0.43, 95% CI [0.38, 0.51]) and place where messages seen, heard, received (AOR: 2.95, 95% CI [1.11, 5.55]).Conclusion Availability of latrine was very low when compared to the national target of 100% among the religious institution and was affected by the currently saved money towards having a latrine, any messages seen, heard or received on sanitation and hygiene and place where the messages receive. Information regarding latrine availability should be provided to the community visiting religious institutions through available channels and practical models promotion.
