The purpose of this article is to present a theoretical reading of the nucleus of the ego, closer to the theory of the identity matrix by J. L. Moreno, deeply developing the Rojas-Bermúdez’s concept of incipient ego. I associate this egoic experience with the relationships established between the baby and its family nucleus, right after recognizing a minimally stable ego, in neuropsychological conditions to link itself to the maternal, paternal and fraternal images. According to this reading, the nucleus of the ego completes its structuring at the age of four, following the Rojas-Bermúdez School, after carrying out the process of synthesis of this nuclear matrix, from which the natural ego emerges and, later, the social ego, as a product of the triangulation and circularization of roles. The image construction technique is the method that supports the theory in question.

Tourists' perceptions of climate change affect decisions and choices to visit destinations, which are disappearing because of climate change impacts. Values and motivations are two of the personal variables underpinning tourists' decisions. The study addresses both the limited values research in tourism and reveals unconscious motives by using projective techniques. Projective techniques avoid some of the social desirability bias present in much ethical research. Choice ordering technique and the list of values assist by assigning importance, with narrative responses providing meaning. The construction technique builds a story from a stimulus, with photo-elicitation using participants' personal holiday photographs. A sample of pre, during and post visit tourists to the Arctic and Venice were interviewed. Results, which provide a more nuanced understanding of how the personal variables of values and motivations are underpinned by self-interest, inform policies and the messages designed to influence pro-sustainability behaviour.

Pasini konaci (Pasha?s residence), Selamluk and Haremluk in Vranje, are typical representatives of Balkan Oriental architecture of 18th century. In spite of the buildings becoming very decrepit and prone to dilapidation due to their structural characteristics, in terms of their function and construction technique, they represent an evidence of the living standard of a social class and the social relationships of the historical age they belong to. With the aid of an analysis of historical data, the part 1 of this paper presented the results of the research of the origins and development of the Selamluk in Vranje and its surrounding area with an attempt to determine architectonic genesis from the original structure, through the destruction phases and reconstruction to the present day status. In addition to the information published in the relevant literature, the data were collected by analyzing old plans, photographs and documents archived in various cultural institutions. In the part 2 of this paper, the structural and decorative elements of the Selamluk are discussed for the first time in literature.

Throughout its history, the cinematic medium has shown great potential as an instrument of dehumanization and demonization. In this chapter, enemy image construction is investigated as both a discursive construct and a set of textual practices in popular film. Hoping to create effective villains for their stories, filmmakers accentuate such characters’ dangerousness and deviance to the social norm. The author provides a framework for the analysis of enemy image construction in cinema by offering an introduction into how villain-characters get formally articulated as enemies, and how such practices can be subjected to further scholarly analysis.

This article is devoted to the methods of image analysis used in three-dimensional vision systems. Based on a sample set of 3D images, their defects resulting from the adopted three-dimensional image construction technique are discussed. Those defects are discussed in relation to the following parameters: speed of the vision system, power of the laser, laser mode, laser arrangement relative to the vision system sensor and relative to the tested surface. To illustrate the cases discussed, images showing the effects of selected parameters on the quality of mapping of the tested object onto a three-dimensional image were presented. The next part of the article discusses methods of range image filtering that removes or reduces the importance of defects of the adopted method in any control and measuring tasks. Particular attention is given to methods of removing data described as missing data.

Emitter signal waveform recognition and classification are necessary survival techniques in electronic warfare systems. The emitters use various techniques for power management and complex intra-pulse modulations, which can create what looks like a noisy signal to an intercept receiver, so emitter signal waveform recognition at a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) has gained increased attention. In this study, we propose an autocorrelation feature image construction technique (ACFICT) combined with a convolutional neural network (CNN) to maintain the unique feature of each signal, and a structure optimization for CNN input layer called hybrid model is designed to achieve image enhancement of the signal autocorrelation, which is different from using a single image combined with CNN to complete classification. We demonstrate the performance of ACFICT by comparing feature images generated by different signal pre-processing algorithms, and the evaluation indicators are signal recognition rate, image stability degree, and image restoration degree. This paper simulates six types of the signals by combining ACFICT with three types of hybrid model, the simulation results compared with the literature show that the proposed methods not only has a high universality, but also better adapts to waveform recognition at low SNR environment. When the SNR is –6 dB, the overall recognition rate of the method reaches 88%.

The Rich Kids of Instagram (RKOI) portray luxury lifestyles on social media. The potential roles of travel and transport within these online displays of affluence have not yet been examined. This paper’s purpose is to analyse how transport modes and luxury travel are depicted and interrelated through RKOI images. Co-occurrence analyses were conducted using a data set of Instagram posts with RKOI as a hashtag (2012–2018) to visualize the roles of transport modes and luxury travel in RKOI image construction. The findings demonstrate that both energy-intensive transport modes and luxury travel, whether through air/watercraft or luxury cars, play a vital role in signaling RKOI’s self-image on Instagram, with gendered differences. The article contributes an original conceptual model of how RKOI construct their image using transport modes and luxury travel. Implications for the social normalization of carbon-intensive transport choices, coupled with luxury destinations as a backdrop, are discussed.

The research of the Image Construction of Islamic Political Party at 2014 Election in Indonesia aimedat knowing the image construction of Islamic political party, especially at Republika and Sindo newspaper. The thoeries used in this research are fikih siyasat (the characteristic of muslim leader), socialconstruction of mass media and hierarchy of influence by using discourse analysis as an analyticaltechnique. The method of the research is qualitative. And the Informans as research subject are thejurnalist, redaction and management representative of both newspaper. The founds of research showedthat the news characteristic of both newspaper were almost same. From the social cognition there werea difference. Republika strived to counter every news related to the image of Islamic political party andSindo did not. From the social context, the background of this news was 2014 Election. And fromhierarchy of influence perspective, the impact of media organization level was strong as shown in thepower of the owner like Hary Tanoe in Sindo as a chairman of MNC Group. So, Sindo never producednews that contradicted to Hary or Hanura Party. The impact of ideological level also strong as we can seein the news of Republika which not only related to the profit, but also the benefit of Islamic Party.
