The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological approach to determining the key characteristics of the assessment of ecosystem assets of territorial communities related to water. The study considers the theoretical and methodological principles of assessing ecosystem assets for sustainable development of local communities. The initial methodological approaches of the accumulated world experience on the assessment of ecosystem services and ecosystem assets of local level territories in the context of three components (ecological, economic and social) in the context of water-related ecosystems are specified. An algorithm for estimating ecosystem assets is proposed. The key guidelines for assessing the ecosystem assets of territorial spatial entities based on European experience are revealed. The list of scientific recommendations for the assessment of water-related ecosystem assets to enhance the capacity of local communities and preserve and restore ecosystems is substantiated. The novelty of the study lies in the proposals for the implementation in Ukrainian practice of general approaches to the methodology of assessment of ecosystem assets and services, according to the recommendations of the international project of the European Commission “The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity” (TEEB). The key Euro-benchmarks proposed by the author for the assessment of water-related ecosystem assets will help increase the investment attractiveness of spatial territorial formations and create preconditions for the development of a new economy on an ecosystem basis. Further research has prospects in the following areas: formation of a comprehensive strategic approach to the introduction of ecosystem asset valuation at the local level; development and introduction of effective methodological approaches to the assessment of ecosystem assets for the formation of investment attractiveness of the territory through the use of local natural resources, including water, as ecosystem assets of sustainable spatial development.

To achieve a necessary level of environmental training is possible only by adjusting and updating existing educational programs. The paper contains a model of development of ecological culture through art; it determines the content, terms and stages of its implementation. The model consists of three levels and the paper discusses each of them; the author also describes necessary organizational-pedagogical conditions, methodological approaches (cultural studies, local history, student-centered, activity-based) and methodological principles (of scientific character, systematic character, consistency, clarity, orientation, training, conformity to culture, of natural law). The work is devoted to the problem of intensification of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the process of formation and development of the lexical competence of students. The role of educational dictionaries of various types is emphasized. The Experimental Electronic Multilingual Dictionary of Military Terms is presented. It is based on ABBYY Lingvo software for teaching Russian to foreign students of military universities. His vocabulary includes a special vocabulary describing various segments of military activity (weapons, equipment, commands, military life, etc.). For each word there are translations into European languages (boi - English batttle, combat; French combat (m); Portuguese combate) and Asian languages (Laos ; Arabic ; Pashto ). The potential of an electronic multilingual dictionary in the implementation of multicultural and professionally oriented teaching of Russian as a foreign language in a non-linguistic university is identified. The role of the electronic translated multilingual thesaurus in the formation of speech professional competence, which ensures the removal of language barriers in the study of military-technical sciences by foreigners, is determined. The universality of the dictionary is characterized. It was created taking into account those national languages whose speakers receive special education in Russian military universities, and provides opportunities for the redistribution of classroom and independent work of students. Its effectiveness has been proven as a tool for modern interactive, multilingual and multicultural education.

The article considers the history of formation of qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches in sociology. The  historical reconstruction of the fundamental ideas of representatives of these areas makes it possible to better understand their relationship, to determine the possibilities of their interaction in the study of social reality. In this regard, the article analyses the qualitative and quantitative strategy of sociological research taking into account their ontological, epistemological, axiological and methodological principles. A meaningful analysis of the three «waves», the stages of sociological cognition makes it possible to understand the specifics of the development of sociological knowledge, determine central ideas and values, and better understand the dynamics of the interaction of existing approaches and paradigms. Qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches in social sciences arose almost simultaneously, but their further development was extremely uneven, and their use to study and explain social reality for a long time was not based on the principles of parity interaction. The expansion of the practice of sociological research in a situation of high dynamics of social processes made it possible to increase the level of research culture, the understanding of values and cognitive differences in qualitative and quantitative methodologies made it possible and necessary to use them together. The basis for combining qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches is their functional additionality, which is expressed in the ability to most fully represent various aspects of the study of the same subject area. We are talking about methodological, conceptual triangulation as a strategy for the interaction of qualitative and quantitative approaches in the study of social problems using qualitative and quantitative methods for collecting and analysing sociological information. Such a technique increases the completeness and reliability of the received information, expands research capabilities.

The paper describes the issues of the origin, development, distribution and use of French oral speech corpora. The specifics of collecting, constituting and treatment of oral data were also analyzed. The choice of the French investigation tradition was caused by the fact that it is not well-known in Ukrainian corpus research. It was noted that the development of oral speech corpora by French researchers occurred with a delay, mainly due to technical reasons. The compilers of early collections of sound texts followed their own rules of recording, transcribing and saving, so today it is almost impossible to use them. Based on the analysis of the available speech corpora, it was found that they are characterized by heterogeneity, a variety of purposes for their creating, including scientific ones, and blurred chronological boundaries. Dissimilarity in researchers’ epistemological orientations, differences in knowledge and tools, corpora’s heterogeneousness involve a diversity of methodological approaches to their constitution and usage. It is worth mentioning that the insufficiency of big and multi-level oral speech corpora in terms of their quantity, quality and scientific reliability, is directly related to the conditions of their implementation and depends on a combination of scientific, technological and institutional factors. Oral data treatment involves transcription, which includes technological, theoretical and interpretation issues. In conclusion, it should be emphasized that the constitution and the use of French speech corpora are not limited to voice recordings and purely technical aspects as they acquire importance in the openness and availability of their data.

The article deals with the possibility of creating a rational system for teaching a foreign language. Russian methodologists have previously developed original techniques for teaching oral speech, some of which can now be used in modern conditions. The development of effective methods of teaching oral speech and communication cannot be sufficiently successful if the methods and techniques developed earlier by both Russian (previously Soviet) and foreign methodologists are not studied and used. It would be appropriate to make critical use of the achievements of the past. The methodological principles of teaching scientists of that era were formulated at a time when the Soviet method of teaching foreign languages was in its infancy, when the Soviet school was going through a period of searching for new ways in the upbringing and education of the younger generation. One of the most interesting achievements in the field of teaching foreign languages should be mentioned the experience of the methodologist of the Soviet period N. S. Koblenz. The advantage of the N. S. system Koblenz can also be considered the organization of the study of the developed standard, which ensures greater activity of students their desire to creatively apply previously learned material in a new language situation. This is achieved by a skillful combination of semi-mechanical and conscious techniques of work. Assessing the views of N. S. Koblenz on the study of vocabulary, it should be noted that he was one of the first in the Soviet methodology in practice to select lexical material when teaching a foreign language. In all the texts of the lessons, and especially in the standards, only selected words and expressions are introduced, which the author of the method tries to activate as much as possible.
