The article states the investigation results and highlights the peculiarities of natural codes representation in the tales (skazy) by P.P. Bazhov through the analysis of concept "zoloto" ("gold") and the associated concepts in contrast with the data from lexicographic sources of modern Russian literary language. The tales (skazy) by the Ural writer were used as the research material. As a result of the analysis, the features of the etymological, basic, associative levels of the concept "zoloto" ("gold") were revealed in the individual author's discourse of P. Bazhov. It has been found out that etymological level of the studied concept is represented by the meaning "precious metal of yellow colour" both in the Russian literary language and in the individual author's discourse of the Ural writer. Some denotative meanings recorded in the Russian literary language are revealed not to actualize in Bazhov's discourse. The differences in the associative level of the concept reflected in the writer's tales and in the minds of the speakers of the Russian literary language are determined. The appearance of additional regionally marked meanings is caused by natural, cultural, professional activities of the inhabitants of the Urals tightly connected with the extraction and processing of precious stones and metals, as well as the regional mythology. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of a system of theoretical knowledge about the concept structure, and the identification of regionally marked meanings of the conceptual sphere of P. Bazhov's individual author's discourse.

The article defines and theoretically substantiates the factors of preparation of students of a pedagogical University to show care in the process of their future professional activity. As a result, it is determined that the process of preparing future teachers for caring includes internal and external factors, namely: the personal meaning of the knowledge acquired by students and the practical experience of humane interaction; the subjective experience of the individual; social and cognitive activity of students; the content of education, which includes knowledge of existential philosophy, humanistic pedagogy and psychology; organization of the educational process that models the social and subject content of future professional activities; creation of dialogical interaction between teachers and students. The relevance of the research is primarily due to the need to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of training future teachers to show care, the interpretation of which affects ethical, ontological and existential aspects. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that certain factors, on the one hand, can act as a methodological basis for building modern pedagogical research, and on the other hand, can be included in the practice of modern education in higher education. The article uses analytical and synthetic research methods.

The bilingual nature of the Russian literary language and its reflection in the scientific polemics and literary practice of the XVIII century are considered. Special attention is paid to the complexity of the language situation caused by the change in the vector of bilingualism: the change of Russian-Church Slavonic bilingualism to Russian-European in the era of historical changes. The increasing role of the semantics of European languages in the formation of the Russian literary language of the secular period is noted. The authors emphasize that the conflict trends in the XVIII century were determined by a number of factors: the transformation of public consciousness, historically determined features of the structure of the Russian literary language, ideological priorities and the life position of reformers (Lomonosov, Trediakovsky, Sumarokov, etc.). It is said that by the end of the XVIII century the French language is fixed as an intermediary between two cultural worlds — Russia and France. It becomes the most popular language in literature and everyday communication of representatives of secular culture. The authors of the article cite facts showing the rejection of mechanical Francophonie by Russian educators in the scientific polemics of the XVIII century. The rivalry of European languages (German, French) in determining the nature of bilingualism of so-called New period is revealed and analyzed. The conclusion is made about the contradictory nature of the process of europeanization of the Russian elite, which perceived Russian-French bilingualism as the key to world culture, and the emerging national consciousness in its appeal to the origins of the Russian-Church Slavonic bilingualism of pre-Peter Rus. The practical significance of the research is to extrapolate the experience of historical bilingualism of the Russian literary language to the study and assessment of changes taking place in the ethnic and linguistic consciousness of modern society, and the formation of multicultural tolerance.

Employees (N = 170) of a City Hall in Italy were administered a questionnaire measuring collective efficacy (CE), perceptions of context (PoC), and organizational commitment (OC). Two facets of collective efficacy were identified, namely group and organizational. Structural equation models revealed that perceptions of top management display a stronger relationship with organizational collective efficacy, whereas employees’ perceptions of their colleagues and their direct superior are related to collective efficacy at the group level. Group collective efficacy had a stronger relationship with affective organizational commitment than did organizational collective efficacy. The theoretical significance of this study is in showing that CE is two-dimensional rather than unidimensional. The practical significance of this finding is that the PoC model provides a framework that public sector managers can use to increase the efficacy of the organization as a whole as well as the individual groups that compose it.

The work is devoted to the consideration of improving the quality of teaching students the discipline “Numerical methods” through the development of the cognitive component of computational thinking based on blended learning. The article presents a methodology for the formation of computational thinking of mathematics students, based on the visualization of algorithmic design schemes and the activation of the cognitive independence of students. The characteristic of computational thinking is given, the content and structure of computational thinking are shown. It is argued that a student with such a mind is able to manifest himself in his professional field in the best possible way. The results of the application of the technique are described. To determine the level of development of the cognitive component of computational thinking, a diagnostic model has been developed based on measuring the content, operational and motivational components. It is shown that the proposed method of developing computational thinking of students, taking into account the individual characteristics of students’ thinking, meaningfully based on the theoretical and practical aspects of studying the discipline, increases the effectiveness of learning the course “Numerical methods”. The materials of the article are of practical value for teachers of mathematical disciplines who use information and telecommunication technologies in their professional activities.

AbstractAnglo-American and Russian stylistics influenced each other substantially in the 1960s and 1970s. From the 1980s on, however, this fruitful mutual influence came to an end. The two schools started to grow apart, but despite that, they would develop almost parallel to each other, displaying many theoretical and methodological similarities. The present paper illustrates this by highlighting one such specificity – the idea of the possible reflection of one's conceptualization of the world in the use of literary language, and the possibility of reconstructing that conceptualization by means of a stylistic analysis (‘mind style’–‘kartina mira’). By comparing the Anglo-American and Russian theories on the topic, it is shown that the separately evolved conceptions are similar and even complement each other: the differences between them clarify and help solve possible theoretical and methodological gaps. Moreover, the juxtaposition of both conceptions allows us to perfect the notion of ‘mind style’ and its practical applications. A similar approach to other conceptions and tendencies in current seemingly mutually independent Anglo-American and Russian stylistics have the same potential, and may lead to a new convergence between the two schools.

Abstract The article examines the nature and importance of using aesthetic and therapeutic concept and educational logotherapy, in particular, for creating a special emotionally comfortable socioeducational environment for primary education The author has represented inteipretation of foreign scholars' views (J. Bugental, V. Frankl, A. Maslow, R. May, J. Moreno, C. Rogers et al) on such terms as “communication ”, “aesthetotherapy ”, “educational logotherapy” etc. An attempt has been made to analyze the social coTitent of pedagogical activity in the context of using logotherapy in primary school based on an agogical paradigm. In the scope of the article, the specific of using the therapeutic metaphor in the educational environment of primary' school has been represented as well as the basic stages of its implementation have been determined. These stages are the following: description of the storyline, persuasion and binding. The author has defined the role of the “living metaphors” in organization of the therapeutic interaction between the teacher and primary' schoolchildren. Particular attention has been paid to formation of the humanistic competency among primary schoolchildren; this competency is to be based on their understanding of the following philosophical and pedagogical categories: a norm (as a means and a results of pupils' social activity), freedom (as a mean and a result of individual self-expression among primary schoolchildren) and happiness (as an individual self-expression among primaryr schoolchildren). The author has assessed the role of deflection method and paradoxical intention for the social development of the pupil and further formation of the individual. Additional attention has been paid to determination of the socioeducational and psychological and pedagogical potential of such leading method in logotherapy as “The Socratic dialogue” (or “The Socratic circle”): as well have been highlighted the main stages of its implementation: consent (search for what pupil may agree), doubt (an expression of doubts towards weak arguments of interlocutor) and arguments (the teacher must convey' one’s opinion, without any resistance from the child): have been represented different various algorithms of its realization: the method of “aquarium”, “panel method” and “questioning technique”.

In this article, we examine the individual predictors that are responsible for accurate beliefs about the link between vaccinations and autism. We then show how these beliefs affect policy preferences about vaccines. We derive two hypotheses from motivated reasoning theory and test these on national survey data from Gallup and CBS News. Republicans were less likely to report accurate beliefs than Democrats. In addition, educational attainment modified the impact of party identification. The gap between Republicans and Democrats in likelihood of reporting accurate beliefs was largest among the most educated portion of the public. Finally, we show that accurate beliefs about vaccines, independent of statistical controls, are important predictors of policy attitudes about unvaccinated children attending public school and parental choice about the decision to vaccinate. We discuss the theoretical and practical significance of these findings.

The article focuses on the problems of teaching social studies at high school. The author tries to actualize the use of gaming technologies during lessons. The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the game in teaching social studies to schoolchildren. During social studies lessons, it is necessary to use various teaching methods, one of which is the game. Thanks to the game, the theoretical knowledge gained during the lesson will be much better assimilated by students. Also, thanks to game technologies, it is possible to solve the problem of educational motivation of schoolchildren; it will be interesting for any student to participate in a game. Play activity today is of great importance in the development and education of the individual, as it gives each child an opportunity to feel themselves as a subject of a certain type of activity, to express themselves, to form thier own abilities. During the game, an intellectually passive student can perform such a volume of work that is completely inaccessible to them in a traditional educational situation. In scientific and other pedagogical studies related to play activities, one can find the concept of an "emotional accelerator" of learning. In addition to theoretical research, the article describes a pedagogical experiment, in which 20 students of 10th grades took part. The article says that using various play forms and methods it is possible to alternate between “serious” and “frivolous” work, and thereby ensure sustained attention to the studied material in the classroom, and the study of the course “Social Studies” at high school is a vital necessity. It is important to provide quality education using various active methods and techniques, in particular, using the form of business games.
