Purpose. The authors aim to assess the reliability and technical diagnostics of the bridge structure, as well as to develop the methods for eliminating defects and restoring the serviceability of damaged building structures, as most accidents occur due to unsatisfactory technical condition of structures and their significant wear due to expiration of the standard service life. Methodology. An important role in the study is played by the formation of knowledge and skills of using a modern engineering approach to the survey of building structures in order to restore their serviceability. Inspections of construction sites are carried out in accordance with the rules set by the relevant regulations. Defects and damages are described in inspection materials with the indication of the possible reasons of their occurrence and forecasting their further influence on reliability and durability of construction. Findings. The analysis of scientific research and normative documents reflecting a problem of the operation safety increase of buildings and structures and estimation of a technical condition of structures is carried out in work. Methods of assessment of reliability and technical diagnostics of bridge constructions are applied. The results of the inspection are substantiated and recommendations are developed to ensure the serviceability and increase the service life of damaged structures of the object of study. Originality. Based on the design and technological documentation, normative base, scientific research, the model of competent systematization of the construction inspection data is obtained. Attention is paid to the timely major, as well as current medium repairs to improve the technical condition of the bridge elements, and in some cases the entire structure. Practical value. Application of the survey methods – visual and instrumental – allowed formulating the conclusions and recommendations aimed at widespread implementation in practice of assessing the reliability and technical condition of structures.

The use of expanded lightweight concrete for the production of building structures can significantly reduce the weight, which is important in the manufacture of hollow-core slabs; the weight is a significant proportion of the total load. In the current regulatory documents, the physical and mechanical properties of expanded lightweight concrete differ significantly, and sometimes contradict each other. The defects and damages of expanded lightweight concrete hollow-core slabs are described in the case of the kindergarten built near 50 years ago. They appeared during the manufacture of the slabs - uncompacted concrete and uncovered ribs, or in the course of exploitation of the building - normal cracking, holes for pipes and corrosion of reinforcement. Two slabs in emergency condition have numerous longitudinal and shear cracks and chips of concrete caused by overloading. The differences in normative documents and methods of calculations used at the time of designing the kindergarten building and at the present time are shown. The assessment of the technical condition of the expanded lightweight concrete hollow-core slabs considering defects and damages are carried out

This article contains a survey of the building in a. Sary-Bulak. A detailed visual examination of the object of study, an assessment of the technical condition of the main loadbearing building structures of the building, an analysis of the causes of defects and damage, and preliminary installation of the technical condition category were carried out. As a result of the survey, design recommendations, measures for the restoration or strengthening of building structures were developed.

The article deals with the procedures for certification of private locomotives in order to grant authorization for their operation on certain public railway lines. The special feature of the certification is that, as a rule, locomotives belonging to departments, enterprises and organizations that are not within the management sphere of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" and were not previously used on public railway lines of Ukraine, but are now presented for participation in the project, can be of several types, different years of construction, have different diesel operating hours (SMU hours), different degrees of wear of the mechanical part of load-bearing structures, wheelsets, trolleys, couplings, braking equipment, different technical condition of measuring instruments, safety devices and air tanks, devices security, etc. Therefore, the article presents the provisions of certification schemes (models) that can be used by the certification body for the certification of single locomotives and batches of private locomotives, and their aspects. The paper also presents the basic normative documents according to which certification procedures are carried out. The key aspects of existing certification testing of locomotives are specified. The scope of work on technical diagnostics of locomotives for certification is described. The procedure and duration of the direct certification process are given taking into account the analysis of documentation, technical inspection, provision of expert evaluation, selection and identification of a sample (samples) of a representative item from the batch submitted for sampling, certification testing, processing and registration of test results, comprehensive conclusion on compliance of the locomotive with the requirements of regulatory and technical documents, decision-making on the possibility (or impossibility) of issuing a certificate.

Abstract Identification of the technical condition of bridge structures should be supplemented by determination of structural displacements in relation to the adopted frame of reference and measurement of changes to the geometry of its individual elements. Of special value are the results of measurements of the same values obtained along an extended service life. They provide an opportunity to compare results, track down tendencies, and more quickly recognise signs of aggravating technical condition of structures. The paper presents an analysis of changes to the geometry of a bridge structure – a cable– stayed footbridge used for pedestrian and bicycle traffic across the Brda river in Bydgoszcz. Measurements were made by means of surveying techniques within a period of 25 years of the structure service life. The collected data enabled numerous comparative analyses to be conducted. Displacements of footbridge structural elements observed across time led to formulation of recommendations for further use of the footbridge. For instance, recommendations for footbridge adjustment, including improvement of its geometry, were provided. In addition, a general analysis of the effect of footbridge displacements on its static operation was conducted.

Categoiy of technical condition (normative, workable imited operational or emergency), which is determined by engineering inspection of buildings and structures, is the main criterion in making decisions about the degree of accident or the need to take measures to bring it to further use. The decisions taken depend on the objectivity and reliability of the information provided ty expertswhich sometimes cannot be interpreted as completely true or complete^ false. It seems advisable to strengthen and expand the professional capabilities of specialists who are engaged in the survey of construction sites through the use of expert systems on the basis of the mathematical apparatus of the theoiy of fuzzy sets and fuzzylogic. This makes it possible to take into account the scatter of individual opinions. Information from the subject area of technical diagnostics of buildings is formalized in terms of fuzzy sets with the use of membership functions created for both input and output control parameters. To implement the fuzzy logical inference, Mamdani's algorithm, modified and adapted to the given problem, was proposed. This technology allows to give a strict mathematical description of vague statements realizing an attempt to overcome alinguistic barrier between a person whose judgments and assessments are approximate and indistinct and a computer that can on^ perform clear instructions. A computer program has been developed that implements the method of identification of the category of technical condition of building structures on the basis of fuzzy knowledge bases.

The intelligent and digital technologies implementation into the civil engineer expert activities is able to provide alternative solutions to different qualifications specialists. This will increase the speed of data processing and the reliability of the expert opinion on the technical condition of the operated construction objects as well as will allow assessing their real residual resource for making a decision on the possibility of further exploitation. The ontology and the original technology for the main system components determination are necessary to achieve the goal (the confinement model) used for the structural and functional analysis of the knowledge system. The entire technologies set for the architectural and construction objects (digital documentation, scan results, thermal imager data, non-destructive survey methods data), data about structure’s defects and damage, appropriate software as well as intelligent technologies (fuzzy logic, neural networks) are used for more thoroughly diagnose certain construction parts and transmit digital information to determine the technical condition category. Also, this data set can be used for following situations: a control of the dynamics of changes in the technical state of a construction object, an improvement the accuracy of determining the scope of repair work, an enhancement the quality of project documentation, methods for assessing the quality of restoration work and measures for the conservation of architectural monuments, etc.

The article describes the features of usingо information systems and technologies for inspection of buildings and structures. The author notes that the main criterion for making decisions about the need for major repairs or the recognition of the building as an emergency is the category of technical condition of the building. To assess the category of technical condition of structures, conducting a survey of real construction objects, you need to take into account a number of possible reasons that lead to a change in the category of technical condition. Collecting informal information into the knowledge base is a strategically important and most difficult task in the development of ES. Sources of knowledge can be defined as an extensive base of practical and theoretical research in the framework of technical diagnostics of buildings and structures, regulatory documentation, a set of heuristic knowledge and reasoning of specialists. The ability to automate the solution of tasks of expert activity in the framework of diagnostics of building structures in conditions of uncertainty should be sought in the field of artificial intelligence systems. Decisions are influenced by the objectivity and reliability of information provided by experts, but often such information is influenced by their subjective opinion. The use of information technology allows you to take into account the diversity of individual opinions. Among the advantages of using information technologies for building surveys is that the contractor can track data collection in the "field" conditions on the site; the productivity of work increases due to the fact that the time for collecting and subsequent processing of information is significantly reduced; the accuracy of monitoring a number of parameters (geometric, structural) increases and it becomes possible to automate the process of obtaining information about the object, as well as calculating and evaluating the strength characteristics of the studied building structures. These technologies allow us to give a strict mathematical description of vague statements about the technical condition of the building at the moment.

The hydraulic drive of a construction machine is a complex dynamic system that is subjected to many dynamic loads of a variable nature and operates under conditions of variable external influences caused by various factors. During operation, these loads cause failure of the hydraulic transmission elements. To prevent these malfunctions, technical diagnostics should be applied by determining their current technical condition and remaining service life. The article assesses the working condition of hydraulic cylinders using a mathematical model. Using matlab/simulink software to simulate the hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic piston speed when changing the hydraulic cylinder clearance. The simulation results are presented.
