ABSTRACT Objectives: to validate a scenario for clinical simulation: prenatal nursing consultation for adolescents. Methods: methodological study developed from January to December 2019, in five stages (overview, scenario, scenario design, progression, debriefing and assessment). The validation involved four volunteer students, a teacher as a facilitator and four judges. The judges filled out a Likert scale with four responses. Data was analyzed using Microsoft Excel® software, version 2016. Absolute and relative frequencies and the content validity index were calculated, considering a minimum acceptable value of 1.0. Results: the preparation of the scenario was based on the proposed learning objectives. The scenario was validated with a global content validity index equal to 1.0. Final Considerations: the study achieved the proposed objective. This scenario can contribute to preparing nurses to work in the care of pregnant teenagers, a representative public in Brazil that requires specific care.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to build and validate three clinical simulation scenarios and report the application with candidates for the specialist’s degree in stomatherapy. Methods: methodological study, building three scenarios and evaluation checklists; content validation with judges, using content validity index and Modified Kappa Coefficient; pre-test and application. Results: scenarios built based on nursing care for: 1. insufficiency and venous ulcer; 2. demarcation of intestinal stomia; and 3. Clean intermittent catheterization. In the content validation of the 24 items appreciated, 83%, 80%, and 92% were validated without change. In the pre-test, the objectives and checklists were adjusted. In the application, to standardize the evaluation, actors and evaluators were trained previously, and each candidate passed the three stations. Conclusions: scenarios built and with validated content, based on evidence and covering the three areas of stomatherapy. The pre-test allowed for adjustments in the scenarios, and the candidates achieved the expected objectives.

ABSTRACT Objective: To elaborate and validate a tool to assess knowledge and behavior of nursing professionals about standards and specific precautions in the Primary Health Care. Method: Methodological study of the elaboration and validation of the tool by thirteen experts judges, using a Likert scale of 4 points, with Content Validity Index ≥ 0.80, on clarity, relevance and pertinence. Results: A tool composed of 47 dichotomous questions to assess knowledge and 12 questions, with five options of answers, for the referred behavior. In the validation, only one item was deleted, related to the “Hands Hygiene” axis and one item was reformulated, regarding “Use of Common Gloves” and another 11 changed writing. The tool as a whole was assessed for relevance, comprehensiveness and representativeness within the scope of the topic investigated. Conclusion: The developed tool has been validated and is now available for use in Primary Health Care.

ABSTRACT Objective: to develop and validate a scenario for clinical simulation in nursing education on the management of severe preeclampsia in the puerperium. Method: methodological study in five stages (overview, scenario, scenario design progression, debriefing and assessment), developed from March to December 2019, involving 10 volunteers (one professor, five actors and four judges). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Content Validation Index. Results: the scenario was built from the definition of learning objectives that meet the needs of nursing education. From the completion of a Likert scale, by the judges in on-site validation, a Content Validity Index of 1.0 was reached, which indicates 100% agreement in the assessed items. Conclusion: the scenario was validated. It is expected that teaching by simulation will be expanded and that new studies of scenario validation will contribute to the preparation of future nurses, based on the most recent scientific evidence.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to validate the terms of the specialized nursing language used in the care of people with chronic kidney disease undergoing conservative treatment identified in the literature by mapping them with terms of the International Classification for Nursing Practice, version 2019, and representing them by means of a mandala. Methods: descriptive, documentary and methodological study. The terms were collected in 53 scientific articles, standardized and mapped with the terminology. The validation was performed by six nurses through a focus group. The Content Validity Index was used and terms with a value ≥ 0.80 were validated. Results: the normalization resulted in 957 relevant terms, of which 499 were constant and 458 not included in the terminology. Terms were validated when Content Validity Index was between 0.86 and 1.0. Conclusions: the study allowed the validation of terms that will contribute to unify the professional language of nursing in the care of people with chronic kidney disease.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to build and validate educational self-care technology for informal caregivers. Methods: methodological study, anchored in the Delphi technique, carried out in a municipality in the state of Paraná, Brazil, between September 2018 and November 2019. It was developed in three stages: situational diagnosis; elaboration of educational technology; content and appearance validation by expert judges and informal caregivers, using the content validity index and coefficient of variation. Results: after the steps of the methodological process, an educational technology called “Taking Care of Those Who Care” was produced, as an information tool that deals with the self-care of informal caregivers, receiving a content validity index above 0.86 and a variation coefficient. below 20% on all items. Conclusions: the educational technology was built and evaluated with satisfactory rates by the specialists and target audience, showing a high correlation of agreement, characterizing it as adequate and informative to informal caregivers.

ABSTRACT Objective: to validate the content of a Standard Operational Procedure, regarding nursing interventions in emergency patients treated with vasoactive drugs. Method: methodological study, carried out from December 2015 to January 2016. Content validity was determined by 16 experts (13 nurses, 2 pharmacists and one biomedical scientist), who judged it through a four-point Likert scale. The items were evaluated in terms of: feasibility, objectivity, simplicity, clearness, pertinence and accuracy. The Content Validity Index was applied, accepting the value ≥ 0.90. Results: two rounds of evaluation were required to achieve the minimum index. The items were reviewed regarding writing, dilution, indication and replacement interval. The instrument was validated with 33 items and with total Content Validity Index of 0.99. Conclusion: the instrument was considered appropriate, fractionally and globally, for nursing care for the patient treated with vasoactive drugs in emergency, in a safe and reliable way.

Objective: Create and validate a podcast for dental surgeons as a guide after a dental avulsion. The validation was done through Google forms. Nine expert judges participated, following four aspects: characterization of the judges, content, functionality and appearance. The quantitative analysis was performed with Excel software to calculate the content validity index. Method: Methodological study with a quantitative and validation approach, carried out in three stages: integrative review of the literature; technology construction; validation of a post-avulsion podcast presented to nine expert judges. A Likert scale was used for data collection. For the analysis, a content validity index ≥ 0.75 was adopted. Results: The Content Validity Index presented values ​​of 0.84% ​​in its structure and presentation, 099% of high relevance for expert judges. Conclusion: The “Al Dente” podcast contains important information on dental reimplantation after an avulsion, resulting in preventive measures that directly influence health services.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to create and validate a serial album for Pressure Ulcer prevention in the hospital environment. Methods: a methodological study with the production of the serial album and validation by 22 judges and 22 patients. The content was based on the integrative review and the reports of the World Health Organization. It was considered a Content Validity Index equal to or greater than 80% in the items and the binomial test for the judges’ agreement. Results: the serial album entitled “Pressure Ulcer Prevention in the hospital environment” has 13 pages. In the content and layout validation, all items had an agreement above 80% among the participants. The overall Content Validity Index was 0.99 for the judges and 1.0 for the patients. Conclusions: the constructed and validated material presented itself as an adequate instrument to be used in health education activities.

Objective: To build and validate an educational leaflet for treatment of patients with ulcer of venous etiology. Methods: Methodological study, developed in two stages: construction of the educational leaflet by literature review and content validation of the material by judges specializing in the subject. Results: The instrument obtained a Content Validity Index (CVI) above 0.80; only one item was modified after the judges’ suggestion. Conclusion: The educational leaflet was presented to be understandable and comprehensive for the content.

Objective: to translate, culturally adapt, and validate the Calidad de la relación con su persona cercana Scale into Brazilian Portuguese. Methods: a methodological study, whose steps were: initial translation; translation synthesis; back-translation; pre-final version development by a panel of nine experts; pre-final version content validity, with 14 judges; pre-test with 30 pregnant women; reliability analysis; sending the translated version to the two authors of the original instrument. Results: outliers were reviewed and adjusted during translation and adaptation. The scale achieved conceptual and idiomatic equivalence. Content validity index was 0.92 and Cronbach’s Alpha was 0.869. The general score in the application ranged from 59 to 124, with an average of 94.4. Conclusion: after translation and adaptation, the scale was entitled Qualidade da Relação com a Pessoa Próxima, achieving semantic and idiomatic equivalence.
