The purpose of this research is to present empirical findings related to the impact of CSR on the job satisfaction level of employees during the Pandemic times, especially in reference to the case of multinational corporations operating within the boundaries of United Arab Emirates. In this context, the factor of CSR was further categorised into three essential constructs of philanthropic responsibilities, environmental responsibilities, and welfare of general public. In reference to the methodological choices, the study has undertaken quantitative research design, which has been supported through the use of positivist philosophy and deductive approach. In addition, the study has collected primary data from a total of 250 employees through questionnaire, which had a total of 5 sections including; demographics, philanthropic responsibility, environmental responsibility, welfare of general public, and employee satisfaction. The study found that employee satisfaction had strongly positive (uphill) linear relationship with the variables of philanthropic responsibilities and environmental responsibilities. The study further elaborated that the organizational philanthropy in the era of Covid-19 has significantly positive impact on the satisfaction levels of employees.

The innovativeness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) is dependent on accessibility to appropriate knowledge resources that enable creation of new market offers. Due to inherent limitations related to the possibilities of investing in the acquisition or creation of new knowledge, smaller entities may benefit from the proximity of large companies, especially multinational corporations, which are actively involved in new knowledge creation, and this knowledge has the ability to spill over. The flow of knowledge from service centres to local smaller companies has the potential to stimulate innovativeness in regional service functions, creating opportunities for paper is to analyse the impact of the flow of knowledge from service centres to MSMEs as a result of interactions between them. For this purpose, empirical data from quantitative research carried out by the research team in 2016 on a representative sample of 1,100 micro small and medium-sized enterprises in the Zachodniopomorskie (West Pomerania) voivodeship were used. The analysis shows that service centres can have a positive impact on the innovativeness of companies in the regions in which they are located, provided that there is a flow of knowledge as a result of direct transfer or personal interactions.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) dampak PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Panas Bumi terhadap ekonomi di Kecamatan Pahae Julu, (2) untuk mengetahui dampak PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Panas Bumi terhadap lingkungan (pencemaran air) di Kecamatan Pahae Julu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Daerah Aliran Sungai Batang Toru dan masyarakat Kecamatan Pahae Julu dari 19 desa yang berjumlah 12.343 jiwa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) ada dampak positif dari keberadaan PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Panas Bumi terhadap ekonomi masyarakat seperti di bidang pekerjaan masyarakat memiliki peluang menambah penghasilan seperti membuka warung, rumah makan, kontrakan/kos-kosan, jual jasa sopir dan laundry sehingga dengan ini pendapatan masyarakat meningkat, 2) berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai lingkungan (pencemaran air) yang dilakukan dengan uji laboratorium, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air Sungai Batang Toru yang ada di sekitar PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Panas Bumi tergolong tercemar dengan parameter yang diuji yaitu pH, BOD, DO, Posfat dan COD dan Nitrat tergolong tidak tercemar. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Geothermal on the economy in Sub Pahae Julu, (2) to know the impact of PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Geothermal on the environment (water pollution) in District Pahae Julu. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research methods.This study uses primary data and secondary data. The population in this study is the Watershed District of Batang Toru and Pahae Julu community of 19 villages totaling12 343 inhabitants.The research was conducted by survey and interview. The results showed that 1) there is a positive impact of the presence of PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Geothermal towards economic communities such as in the field of community work have the opportunity to increase revenue such as small store, restaurants, rent/boarding houses, selling services of a driver and laundry so that these people's income increases, 2) based on the results of research on the environment (water pollution) conducted by a laboratory test, the results showed that the waters of the Batang Toru around PT. Sarulla Operational Limited (SOL) Geothermal classified as contaminated with the parameters tested, namely pH, BOD, DO, Phosphate and Nitrate COD and relatively uncontaminated. It has been observed in many organizations that some employees feel unsatisfied with their work, the justification behind the dissatisfaction could be due to various reasons such as skills and abilities of an employee if not match with the job or task requirements or the work assigned is not according to individual capabilities. As far as the previous studies are concerned, it is revealed that person job fit, and person organization fit have a significant positive relationship with job satisfaction. Thus, in this regard, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between person-job fit, and person-organization fit on job satisfaction. To gather the primary data, a questionnaire was adopted from previous similar published studies. The data were collected from employees working at Aspin Pharma, a pharmaceutical company in Karachi, Pakistan. The total number of study sample was 313 employees out of which 173 useable responses were employed for data analyses. In addition, this research study has adopted a descriptive survey design, and which utilized primary data to obtain information on the study variables. The method of the research is mono method, and the examination of the study is based in quantitative research through descriptive statistics to measure the multi-dimension of employee satisfaction, person job fit, and person organization fit. To conclude, the result reveals that Person Job Fit as well as Person Organization Fit have a significant relationship with job satisfaction. The study findings will be useful for managerial decision makers to improve person job and organization fit dimensions in their organization to enhance employee satisfaction and work productivity.

This paper examines the impact of microfinance on some selected women borrower respondents of Bangladesh, who have been selected through a systematic random survey process. This is a quantitative research based on primary and secondary data. The primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire on sixty women borrowers of the Dhaka City, Bangladesh. This paper finds that microfinance has a highly significant positive impact on the income of these women borrower respondents. Moreover, though microfinance encourages for savings and buying new asset but it has no significant impact on their asset building and savings.Overall, there has been a mixed outcome from this cross-sections data: microfinance has been found as a matter for women borrowers’ income increasing aspects, whereas not much effective in increasing savings or building up of assets. Finally the paper recommends some steps to increase effectiveness of microfinance on the women borrowers, including expanding training facilities and lower interest rates particularly for women borrowers.

Corporate are also now introducing Yoga for employees as a means to relieve their stress and improve productivity. Long Hours of sitting, standing and excessive use of electronic gadgets puts pressure on bones, joints and responsible for Lifestyle diseases. Yoga is now increasingly used as a wellness solution replacing high cost antibiotic drugs. Employee well-being leads to Cost Savings in terms of personnel by reduced payment of Insurance and Medical Bills. The paper studies the Impact of Yoga to Financial benefits in MSME Organizations in Odisha in light of three different perspectives of Internal Control, Inventory management and Cash Flow. The primary data was collected from a sample of 155 high profile finance executives working in the MSME sector. Ranking Table and Regression Analysis Methodology was used to derive meaningful conclusions. The research takes initiative to transform the effectiveness of Yoga into improved financial health for the Organization. The observation from the study interprets a positive impact of Yoga on good financial health of Organization.

<em>Organizational learning has the potential to improve organizational performance. For any organization to sustain long term benefits it requires to establish a mechanism to tap the knowledge and use this knowledge in taking future decisions. This study tries to capture the role of Organizational Learning and Employee Motivation and its impact on the Employees’ Performance. The study is exploratory and descriptive in nature. The questionnaire used for primary data collection has its items collected and derived from various standardized questionnaires available. The analysis of the primary data shows that there is a positive correlation between Organizational Learning and Organizational Performance. On understanding Herzberg theory of motivation the study came to conclusion that employees consider hygiene factors of motivation more significant than the motivator factors. The motivation level of employees in an organization has positive impact on the overall performance of any organization. The study helps the organizations to understand the relationship between learning and performance considering motivation as a mediating variable. </em>

Government Regulation No. 53 of 2010 regarding the discipline of the Civil Servant loading obligations, prohibitions, and disciplinary action which could be taken to the Civil Servant who has been convicted of the offense, is intended to foster a Civil Servant who has committed an offense, the form of disciplinary punishment is mild, moderate, and weight. Disciplinary punishment for the Civil Servant under Government Regulation No. 53 of 2010 Concerning the Discipline of Civil Servants. The formulation of this journal issue contains about how the process of disciplinary punishment, and constraints and efforts to overcome the impact of the Civil Servant disciplinary punishment in Government of Demak regency. The approach used in this study is a sociological juridical approach or juridical empirical, that is an approach that examines secondary data first and then proceed to conduct research in the field of primary data normative. The process of giving disciplinary sanctions for State Civil Apparatus in Government of Demak regency begins with the examination conducted by the immediate supervisor referred to in the legislation governing the authority of appointment, transfer and dismissal of civil servants. The results showed that in general the process of sanctioning / disciplinary punishment of civil servants in the Government of Demak be said to be good and there have been compliance with the existing regulations / applied in Government Regulation No. 53 of 2010, although it encountered the competent authorities judge still apply tolerance against the employee, but also a positive impact among their deterrent good not to repeat the same offense or one level higher than before either the Civil Servant concerned or the other. Obstacles in carrying out disciplinary punishment in Government of Demak regency environment is still low awareness of employees to do and be disciplined in performing the tasks for instance delays incoming work, lack of regulatory discipline, lack of supervision system and any violations of employee discipline. There must be constraints to overcome need for cooperation with other stakeholders comprising Inspectorate, BKPP, and the immediate superior civil servants in this way can be mutually reinforcing mutual communication, consultation, coordination so that if later there is a problem in the future could be accounted for.Keywords: Delivery of Disciplinary Sanctions; Civil Servant; Government Regulation No. 53 of 2010.

Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) evolved in Bangladesh with the commitment of bringing positive social change and attaining balanced socio-economic development through the disbursement of micro-credit among the marginal people in society. The main intention of the study is to assess the impact of micro-credit on the overall socio-economic development of micro-credit receivers. The Chi-square (χ2) and Multinomial Logistic Regression techniques have applied on primary data collected from 260 beneficiaries of micro-credit of ASA and BRAC NGOs in the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. The χ2 analysis shows that the amount of micro-credit taken has a significant positive impact on respondents’ type of home, sanitation facilities, ownership of other household assets, health service received, yearly income, expenditure, and savings, and participation in family’s decision making, whereas an insignificant relationship is observed for occupational status, children education, ownership of land and livestock, sources of drinking water, economic solvency, and social status of the respondents.

This study examines the factors influencing online education for selected Sri Lankan universities during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also analyses the moderate effect of gender and type of the university on online education. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire via google form from Management students in Sri Lankan selected universities. Data analysis was done through structural equations using analysis of moment structures (AMOS) version 22.0. Attitude, internet and related facilities, curriculum, and self-motivation were found to have a significant positive impact on online education, while workload & time have no significant effect on online education. Among four factors, the strongest influence was derived from self-motivation followed by the curriculum. We have not found significant differences among male and female students’ views on online education, while the impact from the type of university is different among the two categories. This study effectively guides policy makers and university administrators across the educational institutes to decide on continuing online education. It reveals some insights to the teachers, students, and parents to understand the significance of the modern online learning environment and its positive impact on the new learning mode. There is no study related to the factors associated with the impact of online education during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Sri Lankan context.

Institutional voids faced by emerging economies have received a lot of attention in recent literature. However, the impact of institutional voids in an emerging economy on the level of company innovation strategies and output is a less researched topic. Using India as a case study, this paper presents a qualitative assessment of the impact of the institutional context of this emerging economy on innovation strategies and consequent outputs of private Indian companies of various sizes and ages. Primary data for the study were collected by means of surveys, in-depth interviews, and secondary data sources including government reports, World Bank and United Nations reports, research articles, and in-depth industry surveys. The paper concludes that in India, large companies and start-ups are more innovative. Most innovations are imitative in nature, and/or driven by customer requirements, and/or international quality norms. “New-to-the-world” innovations are scarce and are mostly driven by multinational corporations (MNCs), government institutions, and to some extent large Indian companies. The paper concludes that in a rapidly emerging economy like India, large companies are more innovative because of their resilience, internal systems, and capabilities that can overcome voids, and exploit opportunities. The fast-paced transitions have created more opportunities for start-ups than small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thereby creating unequal innovation opportunities for companies of different sizes and ages, as distinct coping strategies are required for innovation to occur.
