Abstract. The paper is focused on identifying interlinks between migration growth and economic development indicators. The main idea is to check the statements that migrants move to the countries with high levels of urbanization, high export-import, and budget potential, social, economic, and infrastructural development, high rates of innovations, accessible and effective health care system, financial stability. The previous studies in the sphere of migration were analyzed in detail, and their outcomes became a starting point for selection of the parameters that may affect the net migration growth. The paper is designed as quantitative research, based on Fuzzy-Logic Cognitive Maps (FCM) modeling for mapping the most influential parameters of nine systems (concepts) of national economic development and migration growth. In this study the matrices of causality and directions of influence of parameters of the nineconceptsand 53 sub-concepts and migration growth were computed, and cognitive maps of causal links between net migration growth and chosen parameters of national development were visualized. It was found that the highest level of positive interaction exists between net migration growth and such indicators as «International Tourism», «Income», «Total Government Spending», «Birth rates», «GDP per capita». And negative interactions were found between migration growth and risk of not covering the expenditures of surgical care, including catastrophic non-coverage, and mortality. The recommendations for further improvements of migration policy, social policy and budgeting policy were offered. Keywords: migration, net migration growth, national development, fuzzy cognitive maps, FCM modelling, determinants. JEL Classification F22, J01, O15 Formulas: 3; fig.: 11; tabl.: 17; bibl.: 45.

To make managerial decisions on labour market regulation on the regional level it is necessary to have an objective statistic estimation of interconnection between informal employment and indicators of social and economic development. The article describes preconditions of forming a complex system of indicators on the basis of documents of strategic planning and analysis of works by Russian and overseas researchers dealing with issues of informal employment. Informal employment is an independent field of research that attracts scientists from different spheres and disciplines: from economics and anthropology to gender research, politology, sociology and city planning. Due to the fact that sizes and composition of informal employment, causes of its arising and consequences, lines of impact and interconnection with other figures are different, the author took analysis of documents of strategic planning and goals of national development of the Russian Federation up to 2024 as a starting point for shaping the structure of the system of indicators. In the research indicators of social and economic development were grouped by blocks corresponding to lines in national projects and supplemented by the block of indicators characterizing the macro-economic situation. This categorization based on priorities of national development fosters conclusion drawing with due regard to human capital, comfortable environment for life and economic growth.

Development of accessible and cheap sensors as well as the possibility to transfer and process huge amounts of data offer new possibilities for many areas utilizing till now conventional approaches. Navigation of robots and autonomous vehicles is no exception in this aspect and Internet of Things (IoT), together with the means of computational intelligence, represents a new way for construction and use of robots. In this paper, the possibility to move sensors from robots to their surroundings with the help of IoT is presented and the modification of the IoT concept in the form of intelligent space as well as the concept of ubiquitous robot are shown in the paper. On an example of route tracking, we will clarify the potential of distributed networked sensors and processing their data with the use of fuzzy cognitive maps for robotic navigation. Besides, two modifications of adaptation approaches, namely particle swarm optimization and migration algorithm, are presented here. A series of simulations was performed, which are discussed and future research directions are proposed.

One of the most prominent features in the evolution of the European Union (EU) has been its geographical expansion. Using a dynamic general equilibrium approach, this paper predicts the effects of future eastward expansions of the EU on both inter- and intra-national flows of trade and labor. Underlying the simulations is a spatial model of the EU incorporating heterogeneous firms, intra-industry trade, iceberg trade costs, and many possible locations. Locations are populated by a large number of potential firms, and these firms employ labor that varies across countries in its relative skill. The dynamics of the model are such that unprofitable firms are forced to exit in the long run, and workers have the opportunity to migrate in response to steep gradients in real compensation. Novel features of the data used here are that locations are defined in a very precise way and that the simulations take as their starting point a proxy for the actual distribution of economic activity across the European landmass. The model is calibrated to match aggregate trade and migration data from the 2004 enlargement as well as data on exporter characteristics. Simulations of enlargement predict an increase in aggregate exports of potential new members to the previous EU-15 of 4.7 percent of GDP in the five-year period following adoption of the acquis communautaire and net migration flows from potential new members to the previous EU-15 of 1.3 percent of aggregate acceding country population over the same period. Moreover, the simulations deliver many of the stylized facts of economic geography.

The objective of this article is to present the standard of living of households in Poland in comparison with other EU member states. The starting point for analysis was the economic condition of Poland against the background of other EU member states. The next step consisted of assessment of the standard of living of inhabitants of individual EU member states on the basis of financial condition of households and the structure of consumption expenditure. It was found that the differences within the EU in terms of economic development and the standard of living of households still remain substantial.
