The author focused her research on dignity determinants and their links with the social-cultural environment on the example of Ukrainian society. For this purpose, an analysis of the cultural and historical imperial and totalitarian background of the Ukrainian past has been conducted. The research used the following methods: theoretical-analytical, structural-systemic, historical-comparative. The author has specified and outlined that dignity is an integral formation, based on the intersection of three axiological spheres: personal, professional and social values. The article outlines the impact of artificially created cultural regimes on people’s dignity and the determinants of the higher and lower order of formed dignity in the context of Ukrainian realities. The former include external factors – postcolonial and post-totalitarian Ukrainian society – and internal factors – life-purpose orientation, values, and spirituality. Determinants of the lower order are represented by the behavioural, verbal and emotional spheres of a personality. A particular focus has been placed on the close connection between human freedom and the issue of human dignity. Emphasis has been given to one of the key values attacked by the empire or totalitarian regime, namely freedom in almost all its manifestations: an individual’s freedom of thought, freedom of action, freedom of creative development, free expression and development of the culture of the enslaved people. The current consequences for this phenomenon in the Ukrainian society are: lowered ability of many people to accept responsibility as a key concept of freedom and to avoid simple answers to complex and multidimensional challenges, that is, non-desire to consider complex phenomena from different points of view and to search for multilevel solutions. The author has examined the influence of the socio-cultural environment on an individual’s dignity development. The list of the following socio-cultural factors is presented: social factors, as politics in its various aspects, ideology, social environment, interpersonal interactions; cultural factors, a language, mentality, spiritual and emotional experiences, broadly defined: the culture of free thinking and creative realization, the culture of meaningful cooperation, civility, culture in its artistic aspect, and so on.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are transforming every area of economic and social life all around the world. New types of jobs different from the traditional ones are created rapidly. The demand for highly skilled staff who uses technology effectively has become a requirement for success of companies and the growing industry.   However, the number of IT graduates is not keeping up with the current demand. In addition, companies have little or no training programs to develop ICT skills. Initiatives from the European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Grants to support transnational projects for Youth Employment including European Digital Bootcamps (EDIBO) contribute to increase the job opportunities for young people outside of the labour market. In this way the Sustainable Development Goal 8 which aims to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all” could be fulfilled.   Nowadays, EDIBO is developing different training labs in order to achieve a success model of all processes involved with the organization, execution and evaluation. The goal of this document is to allow a rapid replication of the intensive ICT training among the partners of the project as well to the social innovation community in general.

The article is devoted to the theoretical and legal analysis of issues related to the range of problems connected with development of such legal model as ‘nonentrepreneurial legal entity’. In the scientific work the author makes an analysis of those concepts which are submitted by the leading Ukrainian scholars and concern the formation of civil-law terminology in general and that is applied to the nonentrepreneurial legal entities, in particular. The author has concluded that it is expedient to apply the set of criteria during formation of the non-entrepreneurial legal entity. The article gives the definition of non-entrepreneurial legal entity in the narrow and broad meanings. It is proved that a non-business entity should be singled out as a separate category according to the non-distribution of profit (income) rather than to the specifics of its business activity. The author demonstrates the feasibility to change classification criteria and levels while classifying the legal entities and on the mentioned ground she has singled out: 1) procedure for establishment of the legal entity; 2) structure of the legal entity as a criterion of the second classification level; 3) specific character of the profit distribution as a criterion of the third level of classification. It is based on the argument that non-business entities are an independent group of the legal entities, which is divided into subgroups: the non-business entities of corporate type and the non-business entities of unitary type. Each subgroup of the non-business legal entity distinguishes several legal forms within of which specific types of non-business entities are allocated. The author presents one’s own definition of the non-entrepreneurial legal entity, as a legal entity of public or private law, whether of corporate or unitary type, which is specially established in the different areas of social life and endowed with a special legal capacity. The non-entrepreneurial legal entity shall be entitled to carry out activities with a view to profit but it doesn’t distribute it among participants (members).

AbstractThis article presents a quantitative analysis of how different socio-cultural factors, including lifestyle, affect the extent to which different media are perceived as indispensable for maintaining close relations with family and friends. Through applying ‘indispensability’ as an indicator of the mediatization of social life, the study provides a concrete illustration of how mediatization is continuously molded through socio-cultural processes in everyday life. The results are based on a national survey conducted in Sweden and show that e-mail and video calls constitute a culturally distinctive ensemble of communication, especially in comparison to online chat functions and Facebook. E-mail is valued especially among people with higher education who lead globally oriented lifestyles thus testifying to the enduring status of text-based communication in the longer format as a cultural marker. The study thus suggests that the modalities of communication that certain media make possible are important to how these media are perceived as

One of the oldest and most dangerous criminal offences is hooliganism, i.e. an unlawful offence with intention to violate a public order, disrupt the peace of inhabitants or create a disorder. Disturbers of public recreation, as well as those who commit offences against other people are often referred to as hooligans in social life. Today, hooliganism is still considered as one of the most common types of criminal offences, although the number of these offences tend to decrease. Considering the legal issues related to hooliganism as important and topical, I have chosen this subject for this article. The publication will deal with the following issues: the criminal judicial understanding of the concept ‘hooliganism’; the types of hooliganism – petty hooliganism as an administrative violation, criminally punishable hooliganism; as well as the prevention of hooliganism – general and special. The methodological basis of the research is composed of a dialectic method of scientific examination, method of general theoretical analysis (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, induction, deduction) and individual scientific (special) methods such as historical, comparative analysis.

Under the current resilience development framework, which is mainly based on urban communities, it is difficult to meet the needs of the vulnerable populations in poor villages. This article aims to explore a specific and operable guidance framework suitable for the resilient development of Chinese poor villages after disasters from the perspective of social equity. The framework will help guide the sustainable development of poor villages after disasters and also provide a reference for the resilience of other similar vulnerable areas. When integrating climate change response and disaster risk management to explore sustainable development in poor villages, the essence is to explore the resilience development framework focused on the construction of resilient communities in poor villages. We take the recovery and reconstruction of poor villages after the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 as an example. Through the analysis of the effects of post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, we found that although poor communities have made significant achievements since the earthquake, there are still many aspects that need to be improved, including social life systems, economic production systems, and natural ecosystems. Therefore, we comprehensively analyzed the characteristics of poor socio-economic conditions, the complex ecological environment, and the low cultural level of residents in poor villages. Furthermore, this study followed the principle of “Build back better” (BBB) and conducted an in-depth study of the framework for the resilience of poor villages. In terms of risk reduction, it is recommended to improve structural resilience from guarantee of preferential prices and selection of environmentally friendly materials, avoid risk and villagers’ participation in the formulation of general plans, and promote disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities from risk prediction and curriculum development. In terms of community recovery, it is suggested to promote community economics and victims’ livelihoods by promoting industrial transformation and sustainable livelihoods and promote social and psychological health development from social relations and psychological rehabilitation. In terms of efficient implementation, specific improvements include the improvement of public participation systems and the establishment of coordination offices and sound institutional mechanisms, the development of community standards and the introduction of financial support policies, the improvement of laws and regulations, and the improvement of monitoring and evaluation from dynamic monitoring and mass satisfaction surveys. It is important to guide the sustainable development of vulnerable communities by constructing a post-disaster resistant development framework based on BBB principles.
